Continuity mistake: When John and Agatha are in Leo Crow's room, John finds the single photo of Sean and as he looks at it we see the back of the photo and the outline of the boy's image. John then finds the multiple photo-strip of Sean with Leo and holds it in front of him, but as he says, "I am going to kill this man," John is actually holding the single photo - note the outline of only Sean's image on the back of the photo. Next shot he's holding the multiple photo-strip again. (01:42:45)

Visible crew/equipment: When the shop owner looks through the book for information about the gold coin, he hears the bike bell and when he walks toward the stairs, the crew's solid brown rug is visible on the blue floor - note its edges in front of the white bookcase. It is also seen when he walks back to the safe the second time. That rug is gone in all other shots. (This has nothing to do with the large patterned Asian-style area rug.) (00:35:45)

Just as Danielle places the bowl of eggs in front of Marguerite, the actor's blue T-mark taped to the floor is visible under the table, as the camera pans around. The tape mark is positioned between the Baroness and Jacqueline, where Danielle will be standing momentarily. (Only visible on fullscreen DVD.) (00:17:20)

In the instant cut to the wideshot, Harry is now shoulder to shoulder with Neville, too fast for him to suddenly be standing that close to Neville. (00:34:35)

Continuity mistake: After Ted's Saturday night party (second of the three), when Ted, Lily and Marshall are sitting on the couch, numerous things change or suddenly appear behind them. Clothing is instantly on the back of the yellow chair and black chair, a wood chair appears, furniture moves, etc.

Continuity mistake: When Harry finds Hermione crying at the bottom of the stairs, with the conjured canaries flying overhead, there are numerous leaves/debris on the lowest steps and near her feet, but in the shots looking down from the top of the stairs the area is clear. (This has nothing to do with the few leaves that blow about.)

Continuity mistake: When the Death Eaters whirl around Harry (grabbing the other students) in the Death Chamber, near the Veil, in the wideshots he is lying on the ground with his head upon his right arm, but in the previous and following close-ups his arm is lower and his head is lying directly on the ground.
