The Illusion - S7-E8

Visible crew/equipment: When Erin and Esther Grant drive up to the deserted Pickett plant, as the vehicle stops the reflection of a crew member standing nearby is on the rear window. Then in the interior shot, just as Erin and Esther enter, the pole of set equipment is visible at the left side of the screen. Additionally, tape and chalk marks are visible on the scuffed up floor, and note that J.D. even looks down to make certain his feet are positioned at his two small white marks. (00:41:05)

The Illusion - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: When Verdie and Olivia are at Godsey's with their grandchildren, in Verdie's closeup as she asks Ike to move Jody's name to its proper place on the honor roll board, the grocery bag top is folded toward her, but in the wideshots the bag top is folded away from her. Additionally, while Verdie and Olivia are in the store, Harriet has a blue lollipop and John Curtis is licking a red lollipop, but when Verdie and Olivia leave the store in the exterior shot, Harriet is holding a red lollipop and John Curtis is holding a blue one. The Journal - S8-E7

Continuity mistake: In this episode Olivia states that she conceived one month after getting married. Olivia asks John if he remembers that summer when just the two of them went camping up on the mountain, and they both recall that it was their one month anniversary after eloping. Olivia also says that she knew later that night, "That there's some kind of miracle happening inside me," and even felt that it was a boy - John-Boy, their eldest child. The problem is, in 8x1 "The Homefront," when Cindy joins Olivia in the garden, Cindy asks, "How long was it before you knew you were expecting John-Boy?" and Olivia replies, "About two years, but everybody is different..." The Conflict - S3-E1

Other mistake: After seeing the new house, Martha Corinne and Esther are at the back of the truck talking while John is driving home. During their conversation the truck is not actually moving (it's shaken to give an impression of movement), as we can see no change in scenery through the small rear window and at the left side of the screen in shots facing Esther. Additionally, Olivia is visible through the rear window sitting in the front seat, and she's wearing dangle earrings, which she does not wear in the scenes before or after (presumably it's the stand-in sitting in the seat). The Prize - S2-E7

Other mistake: While John and his sons are at the pig pen talking about Rover, in the first wideshot facing them all we can see the Baldwins' stationary car parked near the pen, waiting for the cue to move at the proper time. During their entire conversation nobody remarks or reacts to the Baldwins' car being right there, not until the second wideshot, just as the vehicle moves closer to the Walton house, and then everyone exclaims, "Baldwin sisters/ladies!" as if they just now showed up.
