Continuity mistake: When the blue car pushes Tom and Sarah's compact down the cliff, Sarah has her arms around Tom's neck as they watch in horror. After being given the finger by the woman, in the next shot of Tom and Sarah, they are covered in snow, front and back. This was edited from a longer sequence in which they dive out of the way of the blue car, thus explaining the snow all over them. (00:47:40)

Continuity mistake: When Tom and Sarah arrive at the Hotel DuReve, they speak with Henri Margeaux, who's blazer is unbuttoned. He then reaches for the gift bottle of cognac from Peter, and in that close-up we see the blazer buttoned. (00:37:05)

Continuity mistake: After causing the electrical short at the Hotel DuReve, Henri goes with Tom and Sarah to their room. When he reaches the top of the stairs outside their door, he has two buttons closed on his blazer. Yet when he walks through their door he has only one button closed. His hair is different in both shots too. (00:41:30)

Continuity mistake: At the Hotel DuReve, the bellboy is in the room with Tom and Sarah. As Tom asks about Satellite TV, the white lace pillow is lying on the bed and Tom's right red draw string is caught up by his shoulder under his jacket. In their next close-up, Tom's red hood, jacket, zipper and red draw string are different, as is the white lace pillow which is now upright. (00:38:35)

Continuity mistake: During the touch football game, when Willie sacks Tom, he is on Tom's right side clutching him and bringing Tom down. However in the next shot as Tom hits the grass, Willie is on Tom's left side letting go of Tom's left leg. (00:17:05)

Continuity mistake: At the McNerney home, the family is gathered in the living room with Tom and Sarah. In the close-up Willie and Paul stand closer to the lamp between them, than they do in the wide shots preceding and following it. (00:14:10)

Deliberate mistake: When Sarah is hit in the head with the football thrown by Tom, she slams down on her backside onto the beach. It is very apparent that it isn't Brittany Murphy taking the fall. (00:06:40)

Revealing mistake: Tom recalls meeting Sarah on the beach when the football slammed into her. In the shot of the football hitting her, we see the very soft sponge-like football hitting her blue cap and bouncing off. It obviously was not the football shown that Tom threw. (00:06:35)

Revealing mistake: When Sarah is leaning over Tom to speak to Yuan on the intercom at the McNerney gate, Yuan is looking at the monitor in the kitchen. The monitor shows the car and there is a person wearing a white shirt sitting in the passenger seat of Tom's car. It can't be Sarah, who was sitting in the passenger seat, but now is leaning over Tom in the driver's seat, plus she is wearing a red coat. (00:03:20)

Continuity mistake: Tom and Sarah drive up to the main gate and Yuan looks at the monitor in the kitchen. On the monitor it shows 'main gate camera 1', for the camera situated above the gate. However when Tom and Peter drive up, the monitor in the kitchen shows that the camera above the gate is 'main gate camera 2' and the camera on the intercom box next to the car is 'main gate camera 1'. Continuity mistake: When Tom and Kyle ram the McNerney gate with Tom's car, in the close-up and following wide shot the front fender damage on the car is very different. (01:26:45)

Revealing mistake: When Tom is threatening Peter with the poker in the hotel room, Peter does a kata stance and blurts that he studied with a Chinese grand master. While looking at Christian Kane (Peter) hamming it up, we see Brittany Murphy (Sarah) start to laugh, but she tries to keep it together for the take, given the seriousness of that particular moment. Continuity mistake: When Sarah approaches the server that the ashtray is on, the ashtray and other items are positioned differently in this shot, than when she picks up the ashtray in the close-up. (01:17:20)

Continuity mistake: Tom recalls the incident with Bags and in the first shot the tennis ball is on his desk, but in the next shot the tennis ball is on the floor near Bags. Tom did not put it there between shots. (01:02:20)

Continuity mistake: At Hotel DuReve, while Sarah says goodbye to her mom on the telephone, seen leaning against the windowsill is a tall lean wood stick, and the small white lace pillow is upright on the bed. In the next shot the pillow is lying flat on the bed. Then when Tom tries to force the plug into the outlet, in the front shots that windowsill is seen behind him and the stick is not there. Revealing mistake: Tom and Sarah are in the lavatory on the airplane fooling around. She sits on the counter and puts her hand on the faucet. Before it starts to spray water, we see the hole that was drilled into the side of the spout in order to make it spray the water sideways! (00:31:30)

Continuity mistake: Waiting to go together into the smelly lavatory on the airplane, Tom and Sarah stand outside the door. In the close-up Tom's red sweatshirt is off his right shoulder, but in the next shot it's back on his shoulder. Her hair is different in both shots too. (00:31:20)

Continuity mistake: Sarah lies down with Tom at her side, on their wedding night, with tissue under her upper lip in the wide shot, yet in the next close-up the tissue is gone, not hidden, just gone. This is due to editing from a longer sequence. (00:29:00)

Revealing mistake: Peter and Sarah are in the car on their way to meet with Henri at his estate. In the car Peter pours champagne into a flute for Sarah, but the champagne has no bubbles because it is really apple juice or some other non-bubbly drink. (01:07:55)

Audio problem: When Tom and Sarah stomp out of Hotel Gianna, he yells, "Hooker!" and she yells, "Murderer!" When he yells, his lips are not saying the word hooker. (01:05:20)
