Other mistake: In 'The One with the Ick Factor' (Season One) Monica states that she is 26 years old. This episode takes place in 1994/95. However there are numerous other episodes such as 'The One With All The Thanksgivings' that show Monica and Rachel (who are the same age and in the same class) still being in High School in 1988. In 'The One Where The Stripper Cries' the two have to sneak into a college party in 1987 as they are still high school age. They should be at least 19 or 20 in 1987/88.
Continuity mistake: During an earlier episode Monica gave up her dream wedding dress so Chandler could have The Swing Kings at their wedding. So it is a little surprising that the band they actually have are called Jungle Swing.librarylady
Continuity mistake: In the one where Chandler watches the video of a woman giving birth, he takes a video out of the VCR and places it on the table (he's staring at the box and when Monica moves it we hear that a tape's inside). When Monica enters the room, she asks him what he is so upset about and he presses play on the remote control. The tape immediately starts playing, despite no-one moving to put it in the player. Continuity mistake: When the Snippy Guy is pointing out couples to go on the platforms next, he points to one couple with his left hand, while holding a clipboard in his right hand. In the very next shot he points to the next couple, but this time with his right hand while holding the clipboard in his left. (00:11:15)
Continuity mistake: In Joanna's office, Chandler and Rachel are pulling his pants from one another while he is cuffed to the filing cabinet. Right before Rachel says "What if I clean your bathroom for a month?" she throws the pants onto a chair, but then when Chandler later says "Freedom. I want my freedom. Why won't you hear me?" he opens the door to yell to Sophie and they are both holding the pants again. (00:15:10)
Factual error: When the gang all see the beach house for the first time, it's covered in a layer of sand, which is supposedly left over from a recent flood. Well, if there really had been a flood, there would have been mold on the walls and debris or junk from the outside, and the sand wouldn't have been nice and clean and dry; it would have been moldy. And there would've been a pattern, likely on the walls, of where the water rose up to and where it receded. Not only that, but how did it get in? All of the doors and windows are intact. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Alice and Frank tell Phoebe that they have been trying to get pregnant. When Alice says, "You know, no one's getting any younger", Frank looks at Alice and laughs. In the next shot however, he is looking at Phoebe and doesn't seem to laugh. (00:01:00)
