The One With The Home Study - S10-E7

Continuity mistake: When Ross and Rachel are pushing Emma on the swing, the legs of Emma's pants change position several times between shots. At first they are pulled up with her legs exposed, then they are down further, and in the last shot when Ross gets kicked, they are pulled up again.

The One With The Video Tape - S8-E4

Continuity mistake: When Ross turns on the camera and sits down in front of it, "flirting" with it and drinking wine, what you can see on the little camera screen is very different from when they play the same clip on the TV, in which looks like he was sitting much closer to the camera then he actually was.

The One Where Monica and Richard Are Just Friends - S3-E13

Factual error: Joey refers to several of his favorite parts of The Shining in 'code', including "all blank and no blank makes blank a blank blank, " which obviously refers to the "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" scene from the movie. However, that scene (and the one where Danny sees the two "blanks" in the hallway) is not found in the book; only in the movie. (00:13:55)

Suggested correction: I know they're talking about the book, but doesn't it actually make sense for Joey to be referencing the movie, even though the conversation is about the book? Considering the character, I don't think that's off at all. He's read the book, but he's obviously seen the movie, too.

Later in that scene, Ross references The Shining as a book Joey loves that stars Jack Nicholson. Therefore, it's safe to assume that Joey has seen the movie and the audience could infer that he may confuse the two often enough for Ross to reference it that way. This might just be another Joey mistake (which he has many) vs a factual error of the show.

The One With Monica's Thunder - S7-E1

Audio problem: When Joey walks out of the bedroom dressed as a 19 year old, when Chandler says the line "Yes, on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the dumbest a person can look, you are definitely 19", you can see that the audio doesn't match the words. It looks as though Matthew Perry says "not 19" and they had to re-dub over post production with "19." Subtle, but it's there. (00:08:50)

Suggested correction: Just watched it twice and seems to be fine... Can't see any issue.

The One In Barbados, part 1 - S9-E23

Revealing mistake: On a number of occasions in this and the next episode, the beach and the water can be seen in the background, through hotel windows. White foam is visible in a number of places, like the crests of waves, but not only do they not move while the camera is on them, they are always in the same place in subsequent shots, revealing that this is a painted backdrop. The One With The Jellyfish - S4-E1

Continuity mistake: When Chandler, Joey and Monica tell their story of the jellyfish bite Chandler says sometimes at night he still hears Joey's voice screaming "Do it ! Do it!". Joey says he yells it through the wall at night to freak Chandler out, but no nights have passed. They tell the story the same day the jellyfish bite occurred. Notice Rachel, Ross and Phoebe are wearing the same clothes they had before they left the beach house. (00:16:20)

The One With The Red Sweater - S8-E2

Audio problem: When Joey is proposing to Rachel and he tells Phoebe to give him the ring back, she says "No!" and pulls her hand away. When she pulls it away, she hits her chest and there's a thump sound that's clearly the sound of her clip on microphone being hit (it's way too audible to be just a thump on her chest). (00:17:50)

The One Where Underdog Gets Away - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: Chandler is able to get into Monica's apartment to tell everyone that Underdog got away, but later when Rachel closes the door it is now locked. We can see the door as each person is leaving and nobody does anything which could be construed as locking the door before it closes. It's been often demonstrated in the show that the door doesn't lock automatically. (00:13:20)

Kathy: So, what did you do today?
Chandler: Well, I had an appointment to get my hair cut...
Kathy: Oh, it looks great!
Chandler: ...and then it got cancelled.

The One With The Jellyfish - S4-E1

Question: When Ross and Rachel are fighting, Chandler hides behind the door and bursts out saying, "I knew it!" When Rachel says, "It's not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy, and it is a big deal!" is this just a Chandler moment or is there another joke I have missed?

Answer: The statements that she's contradicting (that it is common, it happens to every guy, and it's not a big deal), are the things that a woman commonly says to a man who is suffering from erectile difficulty, typically to assuage his bruised ego. However, most men do not believe that these statements are true, as evidenced by Chandler's outburst. He's so caught up in the proof that women are lying about it that he gives himself away.
