The One With Frank Jr. - S3-E5

Other mistake: Monica doesn't realise what the floor looks like under the hamper, but due to her obsessive cleaning she would know this for sure.

The One At The Beach - S3-E25

Visible crew/equipment: During the scene when Phoebe breaks into the other Phoebe's house and gets caught, the older Phoebe was telling the younger one that the man in the photo is not Frank Buffay, but is Chuck Mangioni. Right after that, as Phoebe 2 walks towards the camera, you can see that the door behind her moves open, and there is a visible shadow of someone who walks by that doorway. (00:19:00)

The One With Phoebe's Ex-Partner - S3-E14

Visible crew/equipment: After Ross finds out that Mark quit his job, when Rachel and Ross leave the office, the second camera can be seen as the shot pans to the right, at the right side of the screen. (00:06:15)

The One With The Flashback - S3-E6

Visible crew/equipment: While Joey's moving into the apartment he gets a little head rush so Monica blames the heat, and just as Monica says that it's the humidity, we can see a crew member with straight light brown hair moving around behind the open door, inside Monica's apartment - and we know it's not Phoebe or Rachel.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: I've seen a few of these listed as errors, but they're not. A lot of shows do this often if you pay attention. It's called "product displacement", and it is done to avoid being sued or having to pay licensing fees. Also, it is cheaper to alter logos like this than pixelate/blur them out. What is interesting though, is that one of the grape nut boxes in this picture does not have an altered logo.

Yes, it's product displacement, and this is specifically referred to as the "greeking" process. However, your correction only offers an excuse as to why this occurs. The tape or paint partially or fully covering the brand names or logos are a distraction, and it removes viewers from the fake reality of the show or movie. Originally, these types of submissions were to be listed in trivia, but instead they were placed in the mistake section.

The One With The Hypnosis Tape - S3-E18

Factual error: When Pete takes Monica to Rome for the date this would have been impossible as Rome is 6 hours ahead of New York and at least 4/5 hours travel time, assuming they went by Concorde (double that otherwise). They would have had to have left New York early in the morning to make dinner for 8/9 pm in Rome.

The One With The Tiny T-Shirt - S3-E19

Audio problem: At the start when Joey comes into Monica's apartment and does his little dance number, watch his mouth on his way out; it's totally out of sync with what he is saying. (00:03:15)

The One With a Chick. And a Duck. - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: When Ross is asking Joey and Chandler which suit he should wear for the TV thing the brown suit is in his right hand and the blue one is in his left hand. After Ross says "really?" the shot changes to a wide view, the two suits have changed places, and the cover on the brown suit has switched to the blue one. (00:09:50)

The One With The Flashback - S3-E6

Continuity mistake: When Ross and Phoebe are in the bar and get on the pool table to start kissing, Ross moves the pool balls out of the way, but two remain. As Phoebe lies down, the 9 ball is next to her left shoulder. The shot cuts closer and it is the 13 ball, then cuts back and it's the 9 ball again. (00:19:40)

The One With Frank Jr. - S3-E5

Other mistake: Chandler tries to open the door that leads to his room, but Joey has sawed the door in half so only the upper half opens, and Chandler then falls over the bottom half. He has to hit it with some force to fall over it, but it doesn't budge an inch. (00:00:50)

The One Where Monica and Richard Are Just Friends - S3-E13

Factual error: Joey refers to several of his favorite parts of The Shining in 'code', including "all blank and no blank makes blank a blank blank, " which obviously refers to the "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" scene from the movie. However, that scene (and the one where Danny sees the two "blanks" in the hallway) is not found in the book; only in the movie. (00:13:55)

The One With Frank Jr. - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: When Frank Jr. holds a white sheet around himself, while talking to Phoebe about how she really is a masseuse, etc., the gathered sheet in his hand keeps changing repeatedly throughout the scene. (00:14:10)

The One At The Beach - S3-E25

Continuity mistake: At the end of this episode, Ross opens the door of Rachel's room, says "Hi", and then closes it. However, in the next episode (The One With The Jellyfish), this scene is shown again and changed: Ross opens the door of Rachel's room, says "Hi", and doesn't close it - he talks with Rachel and Bonnie with the door open. (00:21:05)

The One With a Chick. And a Duck. - S3-E21

Visible crew/equipment: Monica is talking to Pete in the diner when he gets back from Japan. If you look at the floor at Monica's end of the counter at the very beginning of the scene, you can see the mat that is there to protect her when she falls over later. (00:02:35)

The One With The Jam - S3-E3

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Chandler is talking to Rachel and Ross about how Janice thought that he had somehow called her fat, if you watch Monica's closet in the back, you can see the shadow of someone walking past, under the door. (00:05:20)

Season 3 generally

Continuity mistake: The number on Pheobe's cab changes throughout series 2 and 3. 7E85 and 2X85 respectively.

The One With The Girl From Poughkeepsie - S4-E10

Rachel: No accountants. Oh, and no one from, like, "legal." I don't like guys with boring jobs.
Chandler: Oh, and Ross was like what, a lion tamer?

Trivia: Matthew Perry's wit is so legendary that the scriptwriters have often incorporated his gags into the show.

The One With The Jellyfish - S4-E1

Question: When Ross and Rachel are fighting, Chandler hides behind the door and bursts out saying "I knew it." When Rachel says, "It's not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy and it is a big deal.", is this just a Chandler moment or is there another joke I have missed?

Answer: The statements that she's contradicting (that it is common, it happens to every guy, and it's not a big deal), are the things that a woman commonly says to a man who is suffering from erectile difficulty, typically to assuage his bruised ego. However, most men do not believe that these statements are true, as evidenced by Chandler's outburst. He's so caught up in the proof that women are lying about it that he gives himself away.
