The Iron Giant (1999)

Continuity mistake: When the Giant is being electrocuted at the power station, he is on his knees, struggling with the wires. After Hogarth cuts the power, he falls slowly backward. But there's a cut right before he actually hits the ground, and suddenly his feet are out in front of him and not folded underneath anymore. (00:12:45)

Numb3rs (2005)

Dirty Bomb - S1-E10

Factual error: Season 1, Episode 10, "Dirty Bomb": The opening figures refer to "500g of Nuclear Material." These are the wrong units to determine the hazard level in a radiological sample. The "Curie content" describes, roughly, how much radiation will be given off, and is not tied directly to the sample's mass. 500g of Cesium-137 (the isotope being discussed in the episode) could well be less radioactive than 1g of a different isotope.

Spark of Life - S5-E18

Factual error: Sanders is seen in the burn victim's OR, during debridement, wearing his street clothes (under a paper apron), and no mask or hat. Considering that the woman's skin is practically one continuous open wound, and her immune system is in an exceedingly fragile state, there's no way a breach of sterility like that would be allowed.

Hero (2002)

Revealing mistake: In the opening sequence, as Nameless is entering the Emperor's palace, you can easily see in the close up shots that the crowd of black-clad people on each side is at best three rows deep. However, shortly before he actually reaches the far side of the inner courtyard, the camera pans back to reveal thousands of people, filling the courtyard from one side to another. Catwoman (2004)

Continuity mistake: After Patience overhears the information about Beau-line and is chased into the warehouse: the guards come up behind her and see a well-lit full silhouette shadow of her, and she raises her left hand. However, when the camera point of view changes to show her face, her back is up against a stack of boxes/buckets, and there is no light source behind her.

Rooster of Doom

Audio problem: When Mitchell Stephens goes to the Otto's, Hartley offers him some tea just as the teakettle comes to a boil and starts whistling. Unfortunately, the kettle shown on the stove was the normal, non-whistling kind.

Question: What exactly is the purpose of the inoculation-scar looking thing on the Necromongers neck, if it doesn't keep Vaako and his wife from plotting overthrow of the Lord Marshall, or help suss out the existence of the other remaining Furian?

Rooster of Doom

Chosen answer: They say it in the film, it is one pain that helps to ease another. It is like an initiation and a branding all in one. It is the Mark of the Necromonger.

Chasing Amy (1997)

Chasing Amy mistake picture

Other mistake: Right after Cohee tells us the story of how Alyssa got the nickname "Finger Cuffs", after the shot returns to Banky and Holden, there's one frame with a significant 'burn mark' on the right side of the negative. Pronounced enough even to be noticeable at regular viewing speed. (01:10:30)

My Rule of Thumb - S3-E10

Continuity mistake: When Carla & Elliott get into the back seat of the vehicle after attempting to hire a male prostitute, you can see them clearly in the close shot. In the next (long) shot, when it is revealed to be a police cruiser, there is a cage between them and the camera. This cage disappears again in the next close shot.

A Beautiful Mind (2001)

Trivia: As mentioned in the errors, Nobel Prize winners do not make an acceptance speech. In the DVD commentary the directors acknowledge this, but state that they wanted one for the dramatic benefit of the film. Still a mistake, but there's why.

Trivia: Additional "Jesus" references: 1) when the surge of power goes through Neo's real body as his Matrix self is assimilated, it forms a plainly visible crucifix shape across his torso and outstretched arms. 2) In the long view of Neo's body on the barge as it is borne away, when it switches to the fiery "alternate vision" the machines' tentacles form a very angelic outline.

The Cautionary Tale Of Numero Cinco - S5-E6

Factual error: When the mysterious person hands Cinco the business card during the 50's flashback (in the restaurant where he is sitting waiting for business), it says "Wolfram & Hart, Attorney's at Law." Clearly, there should be no apostrophe in "Attorneys" in this context - not a mistake a professional law firm would make.

Escape From L.A. (1996)

Continuity mistake: At one point, we see Snake's countdown timer drop from 7:00:00 to 6:59:59, accompanied by the appropriate vocal. Later, Malloy tells him he's only got seven and a half hours left. (00:35:40)

Escape From L.A. (1996)

Revealing mistake: Painfully obvious bluescreen/CGI effect when Snake makes the motorcycle jump into the back of the pickup truck in Cuervo's motorcade. (00:32:45 - 01:08:20)

Escape From L.A. (1996)

Factual error: From the range that Snake fired his clip full of blanks at Malloy and his aide, they still would have been burned by the muzzle blasts and quite possibly deafened by the noise. They assuredly wouldn't have stood there smirking. (00:20:15)

Dogma (1999)

Trivia: The icon, or mascot, of the Mooby chain is a golden calf. For those not familar with the Old Testament, this is a reference to the story of Moses and the Israelites. While he was on Mount Sinai receiving the laws and Commandments directly from God (which took forty days), the Israelites grew restless for his return and decided, basically, to write him off. They then gathered all their golden earrings and melted them down into a new idol, that of a calf, which they commenced worshipping as their new god. When God, who had freed them, saw their fickleness, He told Moses to leave him alone so "that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them." Moses argued for their safety and eventually God relented, but the golden calf stands as a symbol of turning one's back upon the power of God.
