Continuity mistake: Dana witnesses the horrific appearance of Zool inside the fridge, and as she tells the Ghostbusters, slammed the refrigerator door shut and left. However, when Peter talks to her in the living room after he checked the fridge himself, you can see that the items on the table (the one by the TV she watched the commercial from) have been radically rearranged, something she surely wouldn't do leaving in a hurry. Continuity mistake: The future Ghostbusters don't have a clue yet what to do with the ghost of the librarian. They send Peter first, who tries to work his charm saying "Hello. I am Peter." Harold Ramis in the background is pointing the camera at a different height/angle between the two shots. (00:11:30)

Continuity mistake: Venkman is questioning the shocked librarian about possible use of drugs. Director Delacorte in the background is half turned towards them, but he's facing them directly in the close-up when Venkman says "Just asking." (00:08:05)

Continuity mistake: The shot that introduces the existence of the Ghostbusters is a shot of the door of the "Paranormal Studies" laboratory inside Columbia university. It's a door that opens to the left and bears a glass panel with the names of the 3 scientists. When the shocked kid and Ray use it though, the door swings the opposite way. And when the Ghostbusters get back to their lab and find the Dean there, it's a double door with no glass, which was a prop built just for that opening shot. (00:02:45 - 00:13:10)

Continuity mistake: Cotton agonizes on the floor with his right arm raised, but for the views with the camera pointed at the killer, his arm is lowered. (00:09:10)

Continuity mistake: In the action sequence where Cotton pushes Ghostface against the bookcase, the killer faces the wall, then at the cut he is facing Cotton before the case falls on him. (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: Cotton arrives at his apartment; seen from behind, he leans into the door putting his right hand on the frame. Side view and he's leading with the left. Very similar mistake a handful of seconds later; look when he moves up the stairs. He gets one foot on the last step and it's the right foot, then it happens again, but it's the left foot that leads. Continuity mistake: Christine turns off the stereo. Look at her hair, and keep looking as she walks along the corridor. The hair keeps changing position over her shoulders between takes. (00:04:50)

Continuity mistake: Cotton is talking in traffic using his car phone. Notice the way he holds it in the very first shot; his pinky finger is behind the receiver, but it's on a different position after the cut. (00:00:35)

Continuity mistake: When Sidney and Mrs. Loomis fight with the knife, the weapon is bloodstained in different ways depending on the camera angle. (01:46:20)

Continuity mistake: During the struggle between Debbie and Sidney, in the phase that involves the fake stone block Sidney's hands have a different position on the block between shots, and so does the knife, stuck in it in different spots. (01:46:10)

Continuity mistake: When Mickey shoots Derek, his bandage touches the ropes, but both before the gun fires and when Sidney cries out and steps closer, there are a few inches of distance between bandage and rope. (01:37:10)

Continuity mistake: Courteney Cox's right hand is alternatively on the horizontal shelf or the vertical bar of the archive when Dewey tries to warn her from the other side of the glass. (01:21:45)

Continuity mistake: Outside the police station, Dewey stops because Gale is being sympathetic with her 'feel bad' speech. His hand is on the corner of the public phone in one shot, to the left in a different spot in the next shot. (01:14:35)

Continuity mistake: When Dane and Sersi hug towards the end of the movie, depending on the camera angle she has her right arm above his shoulder or not. (02:20:50)

Continuity mistake: On the beach for the ending, Phastus asks Sersi "How, how did you do it?" Her hair is mostly clean off the shoulder, but in the next shot she has a mess of hair all over that shoulder which goes away again when it cuts back to the previous camera angle. (02:14:00)

Continuity mistake: When the Deviant has Thena in his grasp, he caresses her. As he says "Remember", her hair is in front of the left shoulder, and it was all the way back behind the shoulder in the previous shot. (02:05:50)
