Continuity mistake: When the contestants are announced (in a thick French accent), it is said that Higgins fences from the right position. Rick later states, accusing Higgins, that "A lot of people heard Higgins ask for the right side." When the odious rival shows up, he says "You asked for the left position?" to which Higgins nods. Continuity mistake: After hearing from Magnum about Velma Troubshaw's conversation with the DA, Higgins shows up at her mansion and knocks at the door. The shadows of the foliage (and the shadow of John Hillerman himself) change noticeably at the cut. (00:37:00)

Continuity mistake: Magnum visits Assistant District Attorney Carol Baldwin who is having her lunch break outside. She has a paper towel around the yogurt container she's eating from, but when the camera is to her left the napkin reaches the rim of the container, whenever the camera is to her right it's an inch lower. Continuity mistake: Higgins is dressing up for the foil duel. He puts his right glove on when Velma apologizes, and when he replies that she has nothing to apologize for...he's putting the glove on again. (00:12:25)

Continuity mistake: Higgins is staring at the window after his dream. Magnum calls for him and casually walks into the study. Something changed in this second part of the scene; the black cap that will be a conversation point later is now placed across the lid and main case of the foil. In the opening view, it was entirely on the lid and wasn't on the frame. (00:03:05)

Continuity mistake: In the hospital waiting room, Rick and Magnum answer in unison "Brooks" to TC. TC in that same shot lowers his hands, but they are up (so he can lower them) in the next close-up. (00:36:15)

Continuity mistake: Magnum is getting the case from his new client. The man puts down his cup of shave ice which is full and puffy, raised about a inch above the brim of the cup. Less than 30 seconds later, he has not eaten a single scoop but the ice is well below the brim. (00:02:50)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum says "Let's get after it" only to be interrupted by Kumu shouting at him about the phone call, Higgins reaches for the goggles on top of her head; Thomas in another shot says "I'm sorry" and her hands are off the goggles, but in the following close-up on Perdita Weeks she has exactly a pose with hands on them. Continuity mistake: In the water at the beginning of the episode, Higgins mentions "the repeated use" of the laptop, and as she says that she pulls the snorkel behind her shoulder. When she is shown next, the snorkel is again in the front, and it appears on the back only a couple cuts later. (00:01:25)

Continuity mistake: Marisa during the movie gives Thomas an appointment. When she says "That's where I hid the papers." the woman in the background is leaning against her left hand. The chat continues in the next shot but the woman's position is different and gone is the hand. (00:30:20)
