Continuity mistake: Claire's wimpy son is all embarrassed by the hot schoolmate at the cash register. During the conversation, there's obvious poor continuity in the back-and-forth between him and Noah with the items to purchase: Kevin is holding the clutch waist-high or to his chest, as shown by Noah's right arm in frame or not. Continuity mistake: At the end, Digger is holding the picture in his right hand, the one he has on the steering wheel, shown in the background. Of course, he never keeps the hand that steady on the wheel in the rest of the scene. And in the last shot of the sequence, as Ed keeps reading, the hand has dropped down already. Also, technically he had the hand on the steering wheel but not holding it, while in the close-up with the animated picture, he is gripping it. (01:35:10)

Continuity mistake: Backstage, Deke begins to carve open with a hook the famed bale of cotton. Multiple wads are spread around the main opening. When Coffin Ed throws him on the bale, the smaller bits have vanished. Same happens in a much shorter timespan when he punches him in the gut: clean bale, but multiple wads were scattered a moment before when he threw him on it. (01:26:15 - 01:28:00)

Continuity mistake: People march in the street clamoring for the release of Deke. Watch the white dude next to a car: a few people are about to pass him by, and he is holding his hand up, gesturing. In the closer view, he's just watching them pass with his arms limps down his sides. (01:00:40)

Continuity mistake: Grave Digger shoots a flare and lights up the junkyard with a rather goofy effect (it's obvious that a spotlight is being used). Moreover, a moment later the villains shoot the other villain (white dude in a full suit), and there's no real continuity in his posture, position and lighting of the shot. (00:47:35)

Continuity mistake: When the cop is duped by Iris into taking his clothes off, the shadows change noticeably. In the wider angle sideviews there's a pronounced shadow on the top of the door while in the closer views of the cop the door appears more open - or at least the clean shadow disappeared.He also projects a shadow in different spots of the wall, again depending on the angle of filming. Continuity mistake: At home with the widow, Reverend O'Malley is talking to her as she stands by the window. The lighting of the scene changes blatantly depending on the angle of the shot - just look at the shadow suddenly in the middle of the curtains in the closer view. (00:29:25)

Continuity mistake: Hugo is running away from Zapan; after the sequence of Alita's busted pipe we see him jump over a parapet onto a street underneath, rolling just past an incoming utility vehicle. In the overhead shot he lands right in front of a group of people including a rather conspicuous man with a pink shirt, but in the following shot almost everyone in the street is gone. (01:34:40)

Continuity mistake: During the game, Alita disposes of the black cyborg guy with the yellow paint, the same one she met at Kansas. She rips his arm off and uses it to spike the head of the colossal dude with the morning star-like weapon. You could see as the arm was being ripped, that debris and a big metallic piece of scrap were left behind. However, when the 2 next opponents are skating towards Alita making her take off fast, there is no such trace of debris beside the whole body of the guy. (01:33:00)

Continuity mistake: In the battle with Grewishka and the other two murderous cyborgs, Ido loses his scythe that falls down with the sharp edge pointed towards his right. When Nyssiana disrobes, though, the scythe is turned the other way incorrectly, with the pointy end on the opposite side and the burner on the right. (00:28:15 - 00:29:00)

Continuity mistake: During the sequence when Alita manages to get her revenge on Tanji, look when she is coming out of the curve with enough speed to be able to tackle him. In between shots the crowd behind the ramp has completely changed, with some bearded guy and a dude with a panama appearing out of nowhere, to mention just the most obvious. (00:19:40)

Continuity mistake: Ido and his ex-wife are walking on a relatively narrow bridge with stalls on one side. When she says "clearly" to him admitting he did not destroy the body, a man with a backpack literally disappears between shots as he was walking past a woman in a white and blue shirt. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: Alita and Hugo are talking; he just told her clumsily that she's heavy, and asks to see her hand. You can see walk past Alita a group of punks, but the same punks are also checking out of the stalls behind Hugo, with their colored purple and green mohawks visible in the background. (00:11:55)

Continuity mistake: After Alita slides away from the Centurion, dog in hand, she freezes in the pose at the side of the road. To her left, witnessing the scene there's a woman wearing sandals and some rasta patterned pants. She is standing by the corner of the sidewalk, but when we see her after a brief reaction shot on Hugo, she is standing super close, literally in Alita's shadow (they both shifted away from the corner, technically). Continuity mistake: In the first part of the walk through the streets of Iron City, many times the various passersby disappear and appear between shots - just look at the first cut, and how a punk dude is suddenly in front of Alita while they fail to pass by the bicycle lady that was going towards them. (00:09:15)

Continuity mistake: Alita and Dr. Ido talk in front of the sign of his clinic, and he gives her a name; during the back and forth of their dialogue, the passersby do not transfer between any shot and their reverse angle: they simply disappear (unlike for instance what happens behind the nurse with a purple shirted guy who shows up coherently turning a corner). Continuity mistake: After Sidney leaves with the beer for the tub, Willie asks Owen what is he there for, and Alva scolds her. Redford is holding the chicken with both hands, becoming just one in the wider shot with Alva standing. (00:18:15)

Continuity mistake: Legate comes back from work the first day, and Willie closes the door leaving him and Alva in the room. Natalie Wood's shadow jumps from the left to the right of the lock quite noticeably in different shots. (00:42:35)

Continuity mistake: Look at the station of the teller in the Racine bank. In the closest angles the pen by the calculator is at a perpendicular angle and touches the machine, while in the wider angles it is a bigger distance. (00:50:35)

Continuity mistake: Before entering the boarding house the first night, Willie says "Hey wait a minute", putting her hands on her hips. In the next shot, she has her arms down her sides and does the same gesture only later. (00:09:45)
