Continuity mistake: Choi hangs up and leaves Magnum to his search for Mai Ling. First shot of Magnum running, and he's running with in the background, behind him, a boat with a multicolored striped sail. His inner voice in the next, wider, shot says "I had to find her. Fast." just before he sprints past...the rope that is keeping anchored the boat from before, just now entering the frame. (00:36:50)

Continuity mistake: At Robin's Nest, Magnum asks "Mai Ling, how are you with animals?" Look at the estate behind him; there's a portion of the door visible by Tom Selleck's head. Cut to her response, and then back on Selleck; the car is switched off, but they moved, as the door is visible in full, not at an angle. There's also some stain on the car glass, probably from one of the lads' mouths. After another cut to Susie Elene, the original view with the door at an angle is back. (00:15:40)

Continuity mistake: Magnum finds Mai Ling on the beach. He's wearing his Detroit Tigers hat as he kneels by her. Then it cuts to a close-up when he calls her name; no hat. Next shot and to shield Mai from the sun, he removes the hat he didn't have anymore. (00:38:55)

Continuity mistake: Kicked down, Magnum is pinned at the throat by Choi's hand in close-ups, but it does not match Choi's posture when he gets easily distracted. (00:46:00)

Continuity mistake: In the sequence with Rick posing as pedicab driver and dealing the annoying tourists from earlier in the episode, extras are recycled several times (for instance the guy with a white graphic tee with red borders, he is in the initial crowd that crosses the street and he comes from the same direction in background when Rick tips his hat, appearing again multiple times) and don't transition from one shot to the next. Continuity mistake: The wing chun warrior prank calls Magnum telling him to walk Diamond Head. Look at the first shot when Magnum begins to actually move (after it cuts to Choi); there's a woman with a purple bag and pink ribbons, and a bearded dude with blue swim shorts and a backpack. Magnum walks, gets scared by a ninja throwing star, and when he is back to the first payphone and Choi tells him "The other way", here's Bag Lady and Backpack Guy again playing extras. Continuity mistake: Waiting for the valet to bring the car in front of the King Kamehameha club, Magnum silently asks for the explanation from Mai Ling. Her hair is behind her shoulders as she sighs, and in front of her shoulders when she begins explaining about the deadly assassin with the kiddie decal. (00:26:00)

Continuity mistake: After Magnum bursts into a racially insensitive joke that amuses the minority player, he turns to his left obviously pleased with himself. Mai Ling is in a different position at the cut, and the hair disappeared from the front of her left shoulder. (00:16:50)

Continuity mistake: When Choi walks down the street narrowly missing Magnum, the same extras are recycled between shots, some of them like the woman with the blue shirt make some real slalom going constantly left and right on-off the sidewalk with no logic. (00:13:00)

Continuity mistake: When Choi asks Ho about Mai Ling after exterminating all the tabletop curio in his path, miraculously the china by Ho comes back whole between shots. (00:14:25)

Continuity mistake: The Bruce Lee wannabe with the rub-on transfer on his hand breaks a vase punching a vase off a table when he gets inside the store. Ho (unlike the extremely squinty killer) barely blinks at that. He then breaks another vase and Ho this time freaks out, which is understandable, since somehow Choi produced a vase to knock from the same table he already cleared out of the first time. (00:14:00)
