Continuity mistake: When the second cop on a motorcycle falls into the lake, the stuntman deserves good cards from the judges for his dive, but in an earlier shot the ninja had already knocked him off the bike, into the dirt. (00:07:25)

Continuity mistake: The police car that crashes into the lake has a perfectly intact roof; its roof was previously shot through, stabbed and punched through. (00:07:20)

Continuity mistake: When the cops try to kill the ninja blasting through the patrol car roof with the shotgun, the officer's hands swap position between shots. (00:06:50)

Continuity mistake: The guards of the golf course arrive to the crime scene and approach the corpse. One of them grabs his radio and calls the cops. He's by the corpse of the attractive partner of the main victim; look closely and, without wanting to paint any intent in his action, he ends up with a handful of the actress' bare thigh. In the next shot he's talking on the radio with a firm grip on a more sensible limb; her arm. (00:05:25)

Continuity mistake: When the ninja shows his super-strength by lifting the golf cart, his left-hand keeps changing position at the back of the vehicle. (00:04:40)

Continuity mistake: Throughout the whole first fight scene the natural light is obviously different between shots. It is already noticeable at the very beginning when the golfer stands by the cart with much more sun on him in close-ups, but also even more obvious when the ninja downs the first opponent that falls in the shade but is lying fully in the sun as his partner assaults the not-so-elusive killer. Continuity mistake: The ninja suits up during the opening credits; he reaches inside the weapon stash with his left hand to pick the shurikens, but in the following shot he draws back his right hand. (00:02:40)

Continuity mistake: When "Highball" scores a strike against the hobo, there is a reaction shot on the 4 homeless guys to the right. The one closest to the camera (rightmost one) is watching with his right hand on his knee, but his hand is on the hat he's wearing in the next shot. (00:58:10)

Continuity mistake: Leena somehow buys Deth's story, and he tells her eventually "So you'll help me." The steering wheel rotates significantly between shots. Same after a brief cut to Whistler when they pull over in front of the "Tropical Tube Tan"; suddenly Deth's left hand on top of the wheel becomes the right hand. (00:26:35 - 00:27:15)

Continuity mistake: Jack (p) reincarnated in his ancestor is talking to the booty call in the Santa suit. He mechanically repeats "Lost souls, yeah..." as he throws the tie over his shirt. He turns around, and in the next shot the tie conveniently adjusted itself going under the collar. (00:18:40)

Continuity mistake: When Jack receives the baseball card from the Consul, he's holding the other photo from the top, which becomes the bottom in close-up. (00:15:55)

Continuity mistake: When Miyuki points out that the atmosphere at the other table is rather gloomy, Amamoto has her chopsticks raised in one shot, absent from view in the next. (00:14:00)

Continuity mistake: In the post-credit photo montage, Heidern (without his uniform) wears the eyepatch on the right eye, but his various character portraits in the selection screen, victory screen and ending show him with the eyepatch on the left eye. (in later instalments of the series he is predominantly shown with the right eye missing, actually).

Continuity mistake: When Naoto and Ruriko are on the park bench, and he tries to make up some story about where did he spend the past decade, Natsuna's scarf is folded in a different way in the different main angles of the conversation. (01:03:20)

Continuity mistake: When Naoto witnesses White Tiger putting Yellow Tiger against the ropes, his left hand is on the third bar of the door. Cut to White Tiger gloating, and Naoto is gripping the second bar. Similarly, when later Jo finishes Dan off breaking his leg, sometimes between Naoto's hands there are 4 bars or 5 even if his hands move always up and down the same bars. (00:46:25)

Continuity mistake: After the Abebo murders, tempers run high at the meeting of the clan. The sinister Sakoda accuses the one raising objections to be a wimp, and the guy slams his fists on the table. The president of the meeting says "stop it"; Sonny Chiba is leaning forward with both hands, but in the next shot he has one hand in front and one in the back. (00:20:00)

Continuity mistake: Kindaichi searches Akechi's wallet with his right hand, using the left hand to hold the wallet itself, but hands Longtao the taxi receipt using the left hand. (00:13:05)
