Continuity mistake: The opening shot of the intro shows the takeoff two planes with a black nose and USAF written under the wings. When they are in flight later after the control room scene, stock footage is used, because now the planes have "MARINES" written above the wings, followed again by a close-up, this time of a white nosed airplane (or mock-up) with a recognizable number 23 that was absent before. Continuity mistake: During the credit sequence, at "Directed by", the pilot undoes the seatbelt. Under the suit, his left wrist reveals the presence of a watch, which is at the right wrist when he gets out of the plane. (00:05:15)

Yuri Dolgof comes closer to convince him; during this part of the scene, Tom Selleck (or his stand-in) has the arm raised, leaning against the hand to listen, but in the frontal views he just has his arm on the armrest. Continuity mistake: The close-up of the battle of Sebastopol - or rather, what Higgins mistakes as such - sees Rick's hand on the sand, by the shell. The hand is not in that position in the other angle. (00:07:40)

Continuity mistake: The MIG pilot is preparing to get out of the plane. There's a close-up of a young and a bit tense soldier (or "soldier", since the extra looks quite unconvincing and not handling the weapon very confidently) wearing glasses. The strap of his weapon is firmly pressed between his fingers and the gun, but in the wider angle the strap is sorta slipping away. (00:05:15)

Continuity mistake: During the informal interview with the singing neighbour, the position of her hand with the brush changes between cuts, and when the inspector tries to bluff saying he has business with the suspect, she has an empty hand, but after the cut she is holding the powder box. Continuity mistake: In the flashback showing her possible true death, Rosa starts drinking from a glass that is almost full, but not quite. At the first cut, the glass refills itself and she is holding it closer to the base. (01:08:20)

Continuity mistake: Eli Wallach dismisses the ex cop and the ex hitman and taps on the table to call attention from his clients. Cut, and he's suddenly holding the walking cane by the handle, instead than mid-length. (00:59:45)

Continuity mistake: Corinne Clery is kissing the inspector, straddling his lap while they discuss exotic locations and feral contraband. She has his hands behind his neck, fastened, but at the cut they are apart and only then she brings them together again. (00:57:10)

Continuity mistake: Magnum and Rick's relative distances seem to be quite off when they are talking to each other from the respective cars; the Ferrari's driver seat seems to be past Rick's in Tom Selleck's close-ups, but when Larry Manetti is talking, he's looking at Selleck's stand-in (sit-in, rather) from a noticeable distance ahead. Continuity mistake: Lisa answers Magnum telling him she was nowhere near the potting shed; behind her, a woman with a purple dress is walking away. A while later, Magnum walks away too from all the Netherworld nonsense, and he just happens to pass by the same woman, who is again walking away from the club in the exact same spot and direction as before. Continuity mistake: Having a drink with Rick and Lisa at the end of the episode, she says "Because I didn't know where Sara was buried." Her right arm is on the table; in the next shot the hand is off it, and it keeps going back and forth, with the hand on or off the purse, that happens to shift as well. (00:46:35)
