Continuity mistake: Deanna and her friend Christine have been taking a break from the racquetball game. The two old men (played by the fathers of Melissa McCarthy and her husband and director of the movie Ben Falcone) heckle them; Mr. Steve Falcone says "We don't have time for your heartfelt conversations." Mr. McCarthy 's hands are on his legs, but in the next wide shot he has one arm folded. (00:10:40)

Continuity mistake: During the breakfast scene Travis calls Sport "a dope shooter." He puts his fork down saying that line (you can hear the noise too) but with the camera back on Jodie Faster, Robert De Niro's hand is at the border of the frame holding the utensil exactly like before. (01:26:20)

Continuity mistake: Iris walks into the room after Travis talked with the timekeeper. She moves past the beaded curtains and De Niro follows her. The bead strings oscillate with a difference of pace/momentum depending on the angle (they move more in the angle with camera behind Jodie Foster, because she really passes through them, and they are moving less in the shots with De Niro's face). Continuity mistake: Travis plays with his foot on the TV and ends up breaking it. The TV set falls back in a dedicated view where it choreographically crashes at an angle and explodes. However, when we see De Niro sobbing over what happened, we also can get a peek at the very right of the frame and see a very much whole TV, lying parallel to the floor, screen still lit and working. Continuity mistake: A policeman approaches Travis' taxi and tells him to leave; during that, as he is clapping his hands yelling "c'mon" in a super New Yorker way, a guy in a maroon shirt is pushing a cart behind the cop. Travis takes off in the next shot, and passes by, in front of him, the same guy that just went the other way. (01:12:50)

Continuity mistake: Once the store owner tells him he's gonna take care of everything and starts cursing in Spanish, Travis walks away from the store. You can see when Melio is bashing the Stick-Up Man that Travis left and nobody is in sight, but in the last overhead shot you can see someone's legs in the doorway. (01:09:40)

Continuity mistake: Taking a fatal bullet from Travis, the robber falls back. He is not just breaking the snack display cabinet, but also knocking one of the dirty Spanish magazines off the clothesline. The magazine falls with him and gets all crimpled between his arm and the counter, but vanishes entirely in the rest of the scene. (01:08:50)

Continuity mistake: Travis just fed to the security guy a phony name and address. He walks away. Look when the security guy urges the photographer to take a picture; behind the photographer there is a woman in a rather flashy orange dress, with orange headband and round sunglasses worn on top of that. But that same woman is also in front of Travis walking away, and one of the first to greet the senator. Likewise, when he shouts "Damn it!" a photographer with a brown shirt passes behind him, and it's the same one that passed behind Travis in the previous shot. (01:05:30)

Continuity mistake: The three friends are talking in the cafe about the Morris Chestnut dude. Throughout the scene, the waitress with the polka dot shirt keeps popping in view; when the two shout "Harold?" all of a sudden Jason has his hands on Mikey's shoulder, and at the end of the shot the waitress just vanishes. Continuity mistake: In the arms dealer scene, De Niro puts the last gun down with the others he is purchasing. It's at the exact angle as the others, pointing to the right, but in the close-up of the suitcase with the holster on top of the selection, now that gun (the so called "."380 Walther") is angled left, opposite of the others. Continuity mistake: Rizzo's sadistic lieutenant pokes and pats repeatedly Guido in the chest and calls him a "man of steel." When he turns around, the knot of his fancy scarf is folded differently compared to the previous shot. (00:17:20)

Continuity mistake: Presumably the same day when he passes by Palantine's HQ and does not see Betsy at her desk, Travis nearly bumps his taxi into the same girl (Jodie Foster) he failed to save from her pimp. The sequence does not concern itself with continuity at all; the girls move away from the taxi twice in two different ways (look at how the long haired hooker turns), and De Niro's hands change position on the wheel with no logic. Continuity mistake: In front of the favourite taxi diner, just after De Niro tells Wizard that he has some "bad ideas" in his head, you can see on his face and the wall behind him the characteristic intermittent pulse of emergency vehicle lights. The shot change, with Wizard talking across the cut implying continuity, and a few seconds later, right in that streeet, a police car with emergency lights on pulls over to apprehend someone. Continuity mistake: At Belmore's, Travis looks at the crimpled 20 dollars note in his hand; in close-up the top left (relatively speaking) corner of the note is folded perfectly towards him, while in the other shot there was no straight folding line. (00:45:35)

Continuity mistake: Travis walks out of Belmore to talk to Wizard. Right at the door he passes by some hoodlums; he is staring down in close-up a black kid with a chain. Another kid with a white T-shirt, carrying nunchakus, is behind him in that close-up, but walked already way ahead of him in the very first shot. (00:46:00)

Continuity mistake: Betsy walks away from the porn theater, and Travis follows her. He says, trying to yank her back by her arm "Wait a second, I wanna talk to you." Two prostitutes walk behind them. In the shot that follows, behind De Niro, the same prostitutes pop again in frame walking in the same direction, not having advanced at all and in fact being behind their previous position. Continuity mistake: Travis is in the Charles Palantine campaign office to talk to Betsy for the first time. When he asks, leaning on the desk "What do you say?", one of the volunteers, a girl wearing jeans and a T-shirt in horizontal stripes, walks behind him. In the next shot, with Cybill Shepherd playing with her pencil as she ponders an answer, the same girl walks again behind Robert De Niro, coming from the same direction as earlier. (00:22:25)

Continuity mistake: In front of the elevator at the Sheraton, a stoned Kate touches Meg's lips; she uses just her index finger, but as the doors go "ding" she suddenly has 4 fingers raised in the reverse shot. (00:19:50)

Continuity mistake: In the prologue, Young Murray finds a man he does not know sitting at a table. He advances towards him in a wide shot of the room, and the man positions his left hand on the corner of the table, but in the following closer angle on him, his hands are close together exactly like in the initial shot by the same angle. It's like the middle one never happened. (00:03:10)

Continuity mistake: When Sydney Fox retrieves the parchment with the map, she holds it differently (probably turned 180°) between the close-up and the reverse shots. It also should be noted that the world-class archaeologist just casually dumps on the floor like a piece of garbage a ornate XVI century flask. (00:23:50)
