She has in the second shot both hands joined in front of the crotch as opposed to the earlier position assumed in most of the scene, with the hands in front of her belly. (00:15:25)

Continuity mistake: When Emily says that "Mother Theresa and I are, like, the same person" her fingers are suddenly wrapped around the glass in the second shot. When Sean arrives and Emily chastises Steph for saying "sorry" again, the glass also switches hands. (00:11:45)

Continuity mistake: Fixing the first martinis, Emily is pouring from the mixer in one shot, and in the reverse angle she's already with both hands doing the finishing touches to the glasses. (00:11:20)

Continuity mistake: While they are talking about the swear jar, Emily removes the right cuff of her outfit in one shot, but has to fiddle with it for a lengthy period again in the next, since it was back on fully fastened. And then in the next shot she is casting aside...the left, and both are gone. (00:08:00)

Continuity mistake: Asking about the painting, Stephanie turns her head towards Emily. She turns back towards the painting when Emily mentions the East Village, but then in the next shot she is still facing Emily. (00:07:20)

Continuity mistake: For the first time at Emily's, Stephanie stops befuddled by the "beaver." When she says "Lifelike", Emily has her blonde hair over both shoulders, but in the next two close-ups there's none on her right shoulder, and then a few locks. It happens again at the end of that part of the scene when she walks away saying "No such luck" about the painting having any value. (00:07:05)

Continuity mistake: Stephanie and Emily are talking in front of the school. Behind Emily, the same person with a red raincoat and pink-red umbrella passes by twice, and when Stephanie says "I think you're joking, but great!" a girl with a red raincoat pops in the view of the door but is nowhere to be found in the next shot. Continuity mistake: The first time we see Emily, Stephanie is looking at her open the car door and make her way across the street. Even in slo-mo, it takes a few seconds. But before AND after the sequence, the same dad with a plaid shirt and dark jacket is coming out of the school. (00:04:40)

Continuity mistake: When the teacher asks to the class "Haven't we learned so much about food all over the world?" there's a blonde kid behind her who reaches for a crayon off-screen, then is prominently featured in the cutaway shot where she is drawing already on the paper with it, and then we're back to the same angle as before where she is -still - waiting for that crayon. Continuity mistake: While he is copulating with Laurence, François Monge receives a phone call from his boss about the murder case in Bobigny. To shush his vocal partner, he gives her a slap on the shoulder, but he does it with the right hand in the view from behind, and the left hand in the full frontal. (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: The first time they go to the beach together, Alain is sleeping while Stephanie is swimming. When she wakes him up with her potent whistling, he has his hand on his belly that touches the bathing shorts'upper band in the first shot, but the hand is in a different position above his bellybutton in the wider angle. Continuity mistake: Aboard the stolen cab, the guys receive a photo from Jenna posing with the cardboard cutout of herself. She has a rather straightforward pose in the picture in the phone, while a moment later when we actually saw the picture taken she struck a pose cocking her torso and popping the hip out making a pouty face. Continuity mistake: When Sylvia reads "Potholing weekly", her hand on the last page changes position between shots (finger below the first paragraph in the second shot, way deeper below in the first). (01:21:25)

Continuity mistake: When Sylvia is teaching her brother how to play guitar without the amplifier, the position of her hands are inconsistent at times between shots - for instance after she tosses the slice of tangerine at him and he groans that he almost 'had it'. (01:13:30)

Continuity mistake: As the jaunty tunes from "Otto and his Black Forest Ghetto" sound in the air, Sylvia receives a phone call from her dad (ish). She holds the phone with the thumb and index all the way up in side view, but different placement and thumb below the screen in close-up. (01:06:50)

Continuity mistake: During the Bavarian event at the pub, Sylvia chugs down some beer from the mug. She turns towards the elder couple and exchanges a couple quick pleasantries; when Warren walks in, the level of beer in the mug suddenly drops. (01:05:55)

Continuity mistake: After another big reveal about her messed up family history, Sylvia goes to a pub and sits at the counter. Her arms are folded when seen from the front, or she's leaning with just her left when the camera is on the back. (01:05:35)
