Continuity mistake: The plane at the beginning of the episode stops with the propeller at 7:05. When Louise DeBolt walks past the propeller to get in the cockpit, the propeller is at 11:25, and goes back to 7:05 next time it's shown. (00:02:10 - 00:03:10)
Plot hole: After the farcical scene with Rick and TC playing Asian goons, Magnum says in his trademark voiceover; "I know what you're thinking. After the phony beach attack, I should have said goodbye", etc. But the staged attack was in a back alley, in the streets. There are a couple of deleted scenes that pop by in the teaser and never made it to the actual episode, plus an actual beach attack happening later, so it's hard to say what Magnum was referring to, but in the episode as shown, makes no sense. Continuity mistake: Higgins is telling Magnum about the poison. Magnum asks, camera on him " Are you sayin' she wasn't kidding." A babe in a light blue bikini walks in the background, right to left. Cut to Higgins responding, which lasts 8 seconds, and the same woman is exactly where we left her walking behind Tom Selleck. (00:36:10)
Continuity mistake: Louise pours coffee from the thermos - still hot overnight. The cup in her right hand has the handle pointed to the left (approx at 11 o'clock). Her sister and Higgins pop up from the door, and now the cup is pointed at 5 o'clock. (00:28:10)
Continuity mistake: Louise praises the "masterful" way Magnum took the yoyos' punches; her hand jumps from one side of Magnum's chest to the other. (00:26:05)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the scene in the freshly painted guest house, Louise undoes a button on Magnum's shirt that has been undone all along. (00:27:20)
Revealing mistake: The moment Magnum hops on the Ferrari ending the brawl on the beach with the two goons in ski masks, parallel to the tire tracks in the sand you can see others from a previous take. (00:23:25)
Continuity mistake: Magnum drives to meet Louise for, he believes, the last time. He's wearing a purple polo shirt, as opposed to the normal views where he dons a dark green one. (00:18:30)
Revealing mistake: In Magnum's close-up as he looks at The Black Orchid, the scar prosthesis has a visible contour. (00:05:30)
Continuity mistake: It's windy when Magnum gets down to do some push-ups. In the close-up of the push-ups though, the spot he is exercising at changed, since the wind is reflected much more in the movement of the shadows of the ground. (00:04:45)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, two dealers are shot dead (or so it seems). However, they die at great distance from each other, but the one closer to the plane is conveniently snuggled close to the other guy when it's time for the plane to take off. (00:02:40)
