Continuity mistake: When Eric's boat leaves with Ursula in, there are ribbons and a long piece of fabric decorating the side of the boat by the 2 portholes, which disappear in later shots.

Continuity mistake: The barrels that Sebastian uses for Ariel to float and swim to Eric's boat weren't there in any previous shots, and simply pop-out of nowhere.

Continuity mistake: At the pond, Scuttle jumps on a branch that ends in 2 branches, plus a third one cut. When the angle changes, that third branch is fully grown and filled with leaves.

Visible crew/equipment: When Costello shows Billy the mutilated hand in a bag, filming crew members standing up are reflected on the wine glass.

Continuity mistake: After Scuttle finds out that the girl is Ursula, he flies to tell Ariel. From the aerial angle she, Sebastian and Flounder are gone from the pier, only to reappear a frame later in a closer angle.

Continuity mistake: When Ursula stabs her bobby pin on the mirror it falls backwards. When the angle changes it's straight, then she steps on the make up cabinet and it's back to tilted backwards.

Continuity mistake: When Scuttle peeps on the porthole and discovers Ursula, the design of the porthole changes style between the first and last shot.

Revealing mistake: In Eric's cabin, when the young girl reveals herself to be Ursula, she starts to dance. Watch her right foot and you'll notice that it's blending and going through a green box as if it were not there.

Continuity mistake: In Eric's cabin, Ursula climbs up the make up cabinet and a purple bottle appears on the right for her to step on. When the angle changes, this bottle, plus a blue one on the left disappear.

Revealing mistake: When Eric and Ursula sail away and leave Ariel crying, the boat is seen far away with no ripples drawn underneath, not even a shadow, giving the sense that it's floating or, literally, flying.

Continuity mistake: In Eric's boat, Ursula throws a bobby pin at the mirror, which disappears in further shots.

Continuity mistake: When Ursula and Eric's boat sails away, people suddenly appear on the left side of the boat.

Continuity mistake: The maid brings 3 dishes with the food. Leaves one for Grimsby and walks behind his chair towards Eric. A frame later, she has magically disappeared, yet Eric and Ariel have their plate right in front.

Continuity mistake: When Ariel refuses the eels' help, before they toss the face of the statue, she lowers her head and cries. A frame later the head is tilted to the right.

Continuity mistake: When the song 'Under the sea' begins, Ariel is sitting on a rock. The amount of purple flowers on the sides, specially on the right side, change drastically between shots: They appear, disappear, reappear, change flowers, then to algae.

Other mistake: After the storm, Grimsby helps Eric walk away from the beach while Ariel sings. Every time the shot back goes to those two they are on the same spot, though their legs move as if walking, giving the sense that they're on a treadmill.
