Question: What's the name of this movie? It has to be from the 80s/early 90s. Hair/clothing was current with the time. Once she ties the knot she starts secretly changing everything and she does not like the dad's kid (can't remember if it was boy/girl) I think she secretly makes the kid miserable. She redecorates the house and particularly the kid's bedroom in a way that the kid hates tremendously. I think she redecorates using an excessive amount of the color red. The boy had a sister whose friend was also sleeping over. Answer: The only film I can find that matches this description is Opposite Day from 2009 - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1090674/ - and as far as I can see it's an original movie, not a remake or reboot of something earlier.
Question: I have been looking for a Asian fantasy movie (not anime) from the 1990s (I think) its about a vampire/monster (girl with long black hair and who is able to use her fingernails as lasers) and a cop. They fall in love, kinda like Romeo and Juliet but fantasy, there is a lot of rain in the film and cheesy music. There are scenes where the normal people (police squad) are able to summon their powers to fight the monsters and do this in a group in one scene, like some kind of mental power. There is a scene at the end when the lead vampire/monster is riding on a plane trying to crash it into a building. Its name could be something like, Monster Love Story, Police Squad, Police Love Story...I can't remember and I would so love to find this movie. It could be Korean, Japanese but it has English subtitles.
Question: What old horror movie had a big kid riding a big wheel and lived in a basement?
Answer: There are two horror movies with kids riding a big wheel. The Omen (1976) who uses it to knock his mother off a ladder. The other is The Shining (1980), he rides it around a huge winter lodge to do some exploring. There are no basements in either. The Unseen (1980) has a large deformed and demented man child living in the basement.
Question: Can you please tell me the name of an older (80's) movie that was on TV about 2 sisters who lived in a small town. They were poor, and in the end, the older sister married for money, to a short, rich, nerdy hardware store owner who adored her. Near the final scene, she was standing on a bridge saying good bye to her rebellious younger sister. The older sister was tall and had long blonde hair, wore a leather suede fur lined coat, and drove a white SUV. The younger sister had (earlier) had a fight with her boyfriend or husband then got back together with him. He was a poor alcoholic abusive man she loved, and they lived in a shack on the other side of the bridge. The younger sister looked a bit like Princess Stephanie of Monaco and was a known actress, with a shag cut brown hair. The movie might have had Matt Damon in it, or it came out around the same time as the corner store junkie movie….same type of movie. Thanks!
Question: I was wondering if anyone knew the title of this horror or thriller movie that is about a bunch of people that end up in a hotel/ motel? I can't quite remember every detail but I do recall the following: There was a couple driving through a forest maybe? It was raining, somehow they end up in a weird residence. It is raining really hard so they run in and are greeted by a old lady and given a room. Eventually a couple more people (couples) end up staying there, they check in by signing a check in book. At dinner there is a very creepy butler. And bear with me because this is where the memories get kind of mixed up: One couple had lost their little girl (she passed away a couple of years ago? Months maybe. Not sure) but they see her around that hotel. I think she tries to help them. They get locked in that house, when they peek out they see that there is some creature outside. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the devil? Because there is a room with the satanic star. That is all that I remember! I'm sorry it was so long but I am having such a hard time finding this movie.
Answer: Sounds like "House" (2008).
Question: Looking for a movie title that was or appears to be set in Alaska or an area somewhat like it. A man is new to a small town, maybe an outsider to the people that live there. Question: I vaguely remember a couple of scenes in a black and white movie I saw on TV when I was a young girl in the early 70's, but made in the 1960's or 1950's. I don't remember the title, and I think the scenes were toward the end. There was an airplane crash, and an African-American mother had her young daughter as one of the passengers on the plane when it crashed soon after take-off. The girl had a doll, and the mother found the doll among the wreckage. The mother had tears running down her face. I remember feeling very sad watching this scene. I want to say that the pilot was Jimmy Stewart or Henry Fonda but I could be wrong. I've been wracking my brain looking for this movie as I very much want to see it again.
Question: Does anybody know the name of a TV movie that was made about Milli Vanili, it was aired sometime after they were found out. Also a TV movie about the the life of Elvis.
Answer: There was a 2000 BBC documentary titled It Takes Two: The Story of the Pop Duo about musical duos that included Milli Vanilli. The duo were also featured in the premiere episode of VH1 Behind the Music. In February 2007 Universal Pictures announced it was developing a film based on Milli Vanilli's rise and fall in the music industry and in February 2011, it was announced that the movie was being rewritten. It has yet to be released. Also, there have been a number of TV movies about Elvis Presley as far back as the 1978 version starring Kurt Russell. There were also several mini-series.

Question: I have a question about a movie I used to watch when I was a child. I don't remember much of it, only that it was about Christmas and it was animated. It consisted of various scenes about winter, Christmas and happiness. I remember one scene with big sleighs sliding on the ice with happy people dressed in a Victorian manner and kids ice skating. Then, all of a sudden the ice begins to break and this rupture follows the happy people. I do not remember it as being very scary, although I do remember a shot following the breaking ice through this winter wonderland.
Question: If I remember correctly, there was a movie about some kids who snuck into a house where an old woman died. Suddenly they are being murdered by the old woman and came back looking exactly how they did when they died. One person was killed by being stabbed in the back with scissors and came back with the scissors still embedded in the back. I also think that one of the people in this movie played Russ Thompson Jr. In the movie Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.

Here's what I remember: A guy and his sister realize that they can talk to his girlfriend's ghost that was recently in a train accident. (They saw it in a newspaper) In the end his sister unfolds the newspaper to reveal that her brother was a ghost the whole time. He then recalls that he and his girlfriend got stalled on the train tracks and got out in time, but the girlfriend went back to the car to get her necklace or something. The boyfriend went after her and a train ended up coming right at that moment. I hope that helps because that's all I remember. Like I said, thanks in advance for any answers.
Answer: This sounds like an episode of "are you afraid of the dark".
Question: I've been looking for years for an (American) TV series from the 1990s. The lead characters are two women, one blonde and one brunette. The brunette actress has a distinctly foreign-sounding name and is an 'exotic' beauty (of Arab origin perhaps?). Power, money, passion, high society are all keywords for a plot summary. There might be a large inheritance involved, but I'm not sure. The story looks at the relationships between characters and the 'prestige' factor rather than being packed with action/adventure. There is a dark atmosphere to many scenes, heavy innuendos, some mystery... In one scene the brunette actress dressed in a form-hugging black dress and with a 30s (short) hairstyle descends the monumental staircase and makes a "grand entrance" at a high society party. She may be holding a long slim cigarette holder and smoking. I was in high school at the time and I just remember certain images, but I've been looking for the name of this extremely beautiful brunette actress for some time. Does anyone have an idea?
Question: I"m trying to find the title of a series I remember watching in the '80s. It seemed to be set in the mid-21st century, and was an old man recounting stories from his "past" (the 1990s-early 21st century) to his grandchildren. The episodes were all flashbacks to different times in his past, through energy crises, riots, and other significant events. I thought it was called "Golden Years" but that appears to only be the title of a Stephen King mini-series. Thanks!
Answer: "My Life and Times". Helen Hunt played the wife who guest starred in some episodes. It came out mid 90's before Mad about You.

Question: I'm searching for a movie that I can't remember the title of. I'd say it was released late 90s, early 2000s. I can't remember much about it but I remember a boy befriending another boy who was bigger, may have had something wrong with him. I remember the bigger boy giving the smaller one a ride on his shoulders and the small boy gets hurt. The small boy's mother is a Darryl Hall-type character. I also remember the bigger boy gets upset and he hurts his friend, even though it was an accident.
Answer: That would be "The Mighty", starring Elden Henson and Kieran Culkin.
Question: I vaguely remember a movie from when I was younger (I'm 30 now) about a blonde girl who is maybe babysitting a younger girl. She takes her out with her at night to party - they go to the beach, the blonde meets up with a guy and the younger girl feels so special because she has been with this cool chick hanging out all night. Sorry I don't remember more - I feel like it MIGHT have had "night" in the title. Thanks in advance!
Answer: Sounds like the 1992 movie "That Night" with Juliette Lewis. The setting of the movie is in the 1960's and I found it on YouTube.
Question: I can't remember the name of a movie I saw years ago. I thought it was called "Captured", but it's not. In the movie a female celebrity is kidnapped - I can't remember if she is a movie star or a model. She goes to a night club with her dog and gets drugged by someone there and then kidnapped. When she wakes up she thinks she's at home, but she not. She's in a room that was set up to look like her place. She gets tortured by if I remember right having blood forced down her throat. At some point she finds that there's another room beside hers separated by glass with dirt on it. There ends up being a guy in that other room. They both scrape the dirt off and try to communicate. Later she figures out that the guy in the room next to her is the one that kidnapped her. And she figures out a way to get out of that room and ends up killing that guy and his brother that helped him take her. At the end of the movie it shows that she had became a vigilante of sorts and shows she had drugged a guy that had done something bad and she had put him in a full body cast, then took a sledge hammer and bashed his head. Can anyone help me remember the name of this movie?
