Question: When I was little I watched a movie on TV. I think it was a TV movie but I'm not completely sure. In it there was a boy who lived with his mom but they lived below the poverty level. The boy had trouble with the cops but always got off because he was a minor, so there was a cop that would always bother the kid about turning 14. At some point in the movie the kid and the mom are arguing in the kitchen and the mom turns around to yell at him and cuts him in the stomach with a butcher knife by accident. She takes him to the hospital and signs forms to have the kid sent away. Through the whole movie the kid goes to his closet for comfort. In the end, the night of his 14th birthday he lights the curtains on fire in the living room while the mom is asleep and goes to his closet while the who apartment or house catches on fire. I don't know the name of the movie and I would like to know if anyone out there does know it. Thanks.

Chosen answer: Little Criminals (1995).

Question: I saw this short film back in the 70's about a little girl (around 8 or possibly 11) who is living with a senile grandmother. The grandmother dies, leaving the child alone. When her body begins to stink people notice but the girl wants to conceal the death and says nothing. I remember an African-American postal carrier arrives and inquires about the stench. The girl says, "It's my perfume, do you like it?" and he responds, "It's interesting." The last scene I remember the girl sitting on the porch and playing the thumb piano. Can anyone tell me the name of this short film?

Question: I'm looking for the name of a film I saw many years ago, late 80's or early 90's. It involved 2 cops, both martial arts experts, going undercover to infiltrate a bad guy's underworld. The underworld involves cage fighting with illegal betting. Once in the while there is a 'Fatal fight' where the loser dies. The bad guy realises they are cops and one of them has to fight the 'champion' in a fatal fight, and dies. In the fatal fight, there is a circle on the wall holding many weapons and one is selected randomly by a computer for the fighters to use. The rest of the film involves the other cop avenging his partners death and killing all the bad guys. Please help.

When he asks the people he's staying with about the garden they say that they don't have a garden, only a courtyard with some rubbish bins. There is a gardener who says "bloody hell" a lot. At one point the boy is hiding behind a door from someone. The film is probably English, cannot quite remember. Sorry about the vagueness, but could someone please identify this film.

Question: I'm looking for a title to a TV movie that was from the late 70's or early 80's. It was a spoof of all of the 70's detective shows. The only example that I remember is that it had a character that resembled/parodied Baretta. Chosen answer: Murder Can Hurt You (1980).

Question: I am looking for the title of a movie, made in the 1970's or 80's- I just remember the end or near the end: A girl about 13 and her younger brother are alone in a cabin in a blizzard, and a bad man that has been after them before breaks down the door, waving a rifle, and takes them prisoner. I remember he says something like: "My big toe froze off, I thought it was a road apple" He beats the girl up, then the boy hits him and he chases the boy outside to a shed, where the boy burns it and the bad guy, saving himself and his sister. I think that was the ending. Can anyone tell me the name of this, or any of the actors?

Chosen answer: The film is "Cold River" 1982 starring Suzanne Webber, Richard Jaekel and Robert Earl Jones.

Question: There was a film I used to see in school in the early 80's with a "Back to the Future" element. It was about a teen aged girl who had differences with her mother. One day she woke up (on the subway?), and she had travelled back in time to where she meets her teen mother. Slowly, she comes to realize that her mom is not all that different from her. There was a desk with a secret compartment her mom hid things in, which the girl uses to confirm her experience wasn't just a dream. And I recall the time travel episode ended with an air raid siren going off. Anyone know the title?

JC Fernandez

Chosen answer: "ABC Afterschool Specials" My Mother Was Never a Kid (1981).
