I'm looking for a movie that might have been made in the 80's. All i remember is a family with kids, the oldest son i remember is hauling a fridge up many flights of stairs with one or two other people and there was dramatic opera-type music while doing this. I also remember the family going on a road trip and finding this place that had hundred of yard decorations (wind chimes and sun-catchers and statues). And I think at the end of their trip was a cabin in the woods. It's all I remember, though I watched it many times when I was very young. Any ideas?Sakai
I would be incredibly grateful to anyone who finds what I'm looking for. There was this movie trailer or TV show premiere, probably a few years back but released after 2000. I vaguely remember it starting up with a person saying something about a woman was found dead with her face sliced with a knife from ear to ear. Then they flash for a short time the woman, lying on the pavement, who was killed and it looks like there is a neat accurately curved slash from one ear to the other, in between her lips. Does anyone know the name of this movie/ TV show?
I'm trying to find the name of a movie I saw a long time ago but can't remember the name of. It's a black and white film, and I think Mickey Rooney was in it but I'm not sure. It's about a guy who grows up to be a gangster and all these kids in an orphanage home who idolize him. The priest (or the person who runs it) visits him in jail and asks him to put up a big stink and go out a coward on his way to get executed. At first he refuses but as the time comes he does chicken out and make a scene about not wanting to die. The kids read about it the papers and agree he was no good. Any ideas on what movie this is? It's driving me crazy trying to figure it out.
I watched this horror movie in the 70's I think. It was about this group of college age kids at this house where they get locked in by something supernatural. In one scene, someone gets electrocuted in a window? Anyway, it turns out that in the basement is an entrance to hell, and somehow it got opened. The devil got out and he looked like Col Sanders, an old fat guy in an all white suit. I though it had "House" in the title but I'm not sure. I know it's not "House" with William Katt.NJBakaMM
So I've been trying to find this movie. It is a cartoon movie and I don't really remember much from it. I remember something about a girl getting lost and I remember a scene where she is at some ladies house and the lady was giving her milk and she noticed the girls face on the milk carton. It's not Face On A Milk Carton. Then I think her dad might have flown planes or something, I'm not really sure.
Looking for film where a young man (boy) is normal, but the government wants to give him a lobotomy to make him in line with society. One scene, goes to a house to read books, meets a girl, goes to play chess and gets arrested. All sports are for the handicapped, etc. In the end government asks him to help run things. Anyone know the title or the main actor?neoneel
I'm looking for the name of a movie that, forgive me it's all I can remember, a horse being divided by several sheets of glass which spread apart and the horse is still alive. Does anyone have any ideas?toby1kenobi
Okay it is a 70's-80's movie where this one area has been contaminated with something and the animals that are there get really mutated. The only things I remember was a mutated bear was attacking some peoples tents, and that a woman became contaminated because she ate a fish.toby1kenobi
Whenever there's a scene in a movie where a character is looking in a mirror, how do they make sure that the camera isn't seen in the mirror?Brad
Looking for a movie that has a cartoon within it. It's a 1960's movie with real actors doing a scene which is then reproduced in animation in front of us, the audience. The production of the comic strip is part of the story line. It may be a made-for-TV movie rather than a Hollywood film. The only other thing I remember is that the cameras that the audience can see (that are used to film it for the animation) are mounted on gunstocks which are aimed at the actors. Anyone know what the name is?
Okay so I would like help finding out the name of this movie. I think it was made in the 80's maybe the early 90's. The only thing i remember is it was about a girl who is rich and I think she complains about her life, and so she switches lives with a poor person. I also only remember that there is a scene where a girl skinny dips.
There won't be a specific answer to this question, but I would like to hear thoughts/comments. Why is it that the Twilight series has inspired so many vampire-themed movies, shows, and books (True Blood, Moonlight, The Vampire Diaries, etc.)? The Harry Potter series is also hugely popular, but hasn't led to as many "copycats".
Trying to remember a movie, hope you can help. I only ever saw the movie on TV, I believe in the 80s, it was usually showing on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Set in a huge mansion with very ornate decor (lots of wood, chandeliers and thick carpeting). Guests who are very peculiar have been invited for an overnight dinner. I don't think they know who invited them. They arrive two by two, couples or maybe even a mother/daughter, and they settle into their individual rooms. House may be haunted but it's not scary at all, more of a dark comedy. It's not until dinner they see who the host is. The characters are very over the top, odd and exaggerated. They might even be thinking someone is going to murder them, or someone was murdered and they don't know who it was (this is only a vague recollection, might not be right). I believe the entire movie takes place over just one evening. I can't think of anything else that sticks out and I can't remember anyone who's in it. I think it was really long but that may just be my memory of it. Don't know if any of this can help name the movie.
What is the name of the 70/80's TV miniseries that was about a man making incredible wealth in African diamonds and later trying to buy the US presidency for his son? I recall some dialog "I'll pay 50 million, 100 million, 150 million or any multiple thereof ."pdenize
I don't know if it is a movie or a show but there is this gargoyle thing and for some reason he is apologizing to this guy and then munches on him. It was live action. Sorry for not having a lot of details.toby1kenobi
