I have a question about a movie I used to watch when I was a child. I don't remember much of it, only that it was about Christmas and it was animated. It consisted of various scenes about winter, Christmas and happiness. I remember one scene with big sleighs sliding on the ice with happy people dressed in a Victorian manner and kids ice skating. Then, all of a sudden the ice begins to break and this rupture follows the happy people. I do not remember it as being very scary, although I do remember a shot following the breaking ice through this winter wonderland.

If I remember correctly, there was a movie about some kids who snuck into a house where an old woman died. Suddenly they are being murdered by the old woman and came back looking exactly how they did when they died. One person was killed by being stabbed in the back with scissors and came back with the scissors still embedded in the back. I also think that one of the people in this movie played Russ Thompson Jr. In the movie Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.
I'm looking for a movie that came out sometime in the 90's. Here's what I remember: there was a young girl, late teens maybe, who was in care of her younger brother. The boy had something wrong with his head that I can't remember, maybe autism? Anyway he was seeing this child psychologist and he eventually has the little boy admitted to a hospital over his issues. I think the sister tries to have an affair with the psychologist and tries to kill him when he rejects her but putting him in an icy like by his home after shaking him. I'm pretty sure it turned out in the end that she killed her and the little boys' parents.
Answer: Silent Fall, starring a young Liv Tyler.
I have a question about a subplot/scenario in a movie. It's a comedy, I think, from the 90's, and the man character in the film sits on a shard of glass or something and he shudders and groans as he hands the glass or whatever it was to someone. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Chosen answer: That happened in the "Sabrina" remake from 1995.
I am looking for 90s or 2000 American TV series about spies or secret agent family. The main characters were the father, mother, two daughters and a son. I remember that the younger daughter's name could be Ruby - she had long dark hair with a fringe, and on that fringe she had a a bold blonde highlight. They all knew martial arts. If anybody remembers that series please help me.
Answer: There was a 1990s TV movie, which later became a series, titled "Undercover." It was about two parents trying to raise a family while being secret agents.
I have recently recalled a movie I watched a couple years ago but I do not know the name of it. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me with this. Thanks in advance. Here's what I remember: A guy and his sister realize that they can talk to his girlfriend's ghost that was recently in a train accident. (They saw it in a newspaper) In the end his sister unfolds the newspaper to reveal that her brother was a ghost the whole time. He then recalls that he and his girlfriend got stalled on the train tracks and got out in time, but the girlfriend went back to the car to get her necklace or something. The boyfriend went after her and a train ended up coming right at that moment. I hope that helps because that's all I remember. Like I said, thanks in advance for any answers.
Chosen answer: This sounds like an episode of "are you afraid of the dark".
Answer: It's from "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?" Season 3 Episode 10 "The Tale Of The Dream Girl."
I've been looking for years for an (American) TV series from the 1990s. The lead characters are two women, one blonde and one brunette. The brunette actress has a distinctly foreign-sounding name and is an 'exotic' beauty (of Arab origin perhaps?). Power, money, passion, high society are all keywords for a plot summary. There might be a large inheritance involved, but I'm not sure. The story looks at the relationships between characters and the 'prestige' factor rather than being packed with action/adventure. There is a dark atmosphere to many scenes, heavy innuendos, some mystery... In one scene the brunette actress dressed in a form-hugging black dress and with a 30s (short) hairstyle descends the monumental staircase and makes a "grand entrance" at a high society party. She may be holding a long slim cigarette holder and smoking. I was in high school at the time and I just remember certain images, but I've been looking for the name of this extremely beautiful brunette actress for some time. Does anyone have an idea?
I"m trying to find the title of a series I remember watching in the '80s. It seemed to be set in the mid-21st century, and was an old man recounting stories from his "past" (the 1990s-early 21st century) to his grandchildren. The episodes were all flashbacks to different times in his past, through energy crises, riots, and other significant events. I thought it was called "Golden Years" but that appears to only be the title of a Stephen King mini-series. Thanks!
Answer: "My Life and Times". Helen Hunt played the wife who guest starred in some episodes. It came out mid 90's before Mad about You.
Which Pink Panther movie had Sellers using disguises that included an inflatable dog and an inflatable doll?
Answer: The Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) has Professor Balls presenting Ted Wass, Clifton Sleigh, with disguises including an inflatable dog and doll - it wasn't Peter Sellers though as he had died in 1980.
I am looking for a movie about a young African American girl who lives with her father and finds out that she is sick, then goes looking for her white mother who turns out to have another family that did not know about her. During the process she meets her young sister and the two run away. I thought that it started a young Kim Fields and Howard Rollins but am unsure.
This US film is from the early 1950s or perhaps late 1940s, and is in B&W. A young woman is murdered, and during the investigation the film shows how several characters remember the victim. Striking differences in how they each remember her!
Answer: The Woman in Question (1950), directed by Anthony Asquith and starring Jean Kent and Dirk Bogarde.
I'm searching for a movie that I can't remember the title of. I'd say it was released late 90s, early 2000s. I can't remember much about it but I remember a boy befriending another boy who was bigger, may have had something wrong with him. I remember the bigger boy giving the smaller one a ride on his shoulders and the small boy gets hurt. The small boy's mother is a Darryl Hall-type character. I also remember the bigger boy gets upset and he hurts his friend, even though it was an accident.
Answer: That would be "The Mighty", starring Elden Henson and Kieran Culkin.
I vaguely remember a movie from when I was younger (I'm 30 now) about a blonde girl who is maybe babysitting a younger girl. She takes her out with her at night to party - they go to the beach, the blonde meets up with a guy and the younger girl feels so special because she has been with this cool chick hanging out all night. Sorry I don't remember more - I feel like it MIGHT have had "night" in the title. Thanks in advance!
Chosen answer: Sounds like the 1992 movie "That Night" with Juliette Lewis. The setting of the movie is in the 1960's and I found it on YouTube.
I can't remember the name of a movie I saw years ago. I thought it was called "Captured", but it's not. In the movie a female celebrity is kidnapped - I can't remember if she is a movie star or a model. She goes to a night club with her dog and gets drugged by someone there and then kidnapped. When she wakes up she thinks she's at home, but she not. She's in a room that was set up to look like her place. She gets tortured by if I remember right having blood forced down her throat. At some point she finds that there's another room beside hers separated by glass with dirt on it. There ends up being a guy in that other room. They both scrape the dirt off and try to communicate. Later she figures out that the guy in the room next to her is the one that kidnapped her. And she figures out a way to get out of that room and ends up killing that guy and his brother that helped him take her. At the end of the movie it shows that she had became a vigilante of sorts and shows she had drugged a guy that had done something bad and she had put him in a full body cast, then took a sledge hammer and bashed his head. Can anyone help me remember the name of this movie?
Chosen answer: Captivity, 2006: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374563/.

Answer: Sunday at Tiffany's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy8tMRrXfYk.
Looking for a film could be 80s or 90s but might be earlier. A teenager has a baby boy but gets it taken from her as she was too young - it was seen as wrong and she was forced to adopt the baby out. The boy's adopted mother is nasty to him. In one scene she makes him eat his own sick? I think he might be autistic but not sure. Please help - this has been bugging me for years and I need the name!
Chosen answer: 1992 film called "A child lost forever", starring Beverly D'Angelo. It's a true story. Sometimes Lifetime Network will show it.
I am looking for a movie title that I used to watch as a little girl. I'm thinking it is from the late 80's or early 90's. All I can remember is there is a little girl in a school uniform with short brown hair. She is with a couple men who do bad things. I don't remember if she is the daughter of one of them. At the end one of the men gets shot and she is crying over him. Sorry, that's all I can remember.
Chosen answer: The Three Fugitives.
Can't remember a movie, probably from the 80s, about a family having a funeral on a hillside, sort of like Next of Kin, mountain people go after justice for their loved one?
Answer: It could be the "Winter People," 1989. Kurt Russell plays a widowed clockmaker with a daughter whose truck breaks down in the Appalachian mountains. Amid two families feuding, he falls in love with Kelly McGillis. She has a baby with her father's rival son. When the son finds out about Kurt and Kelly, they have a brutal fight. He kills the son, and the family demands justice for his murder.
