The movie I'm trying to remember has a scene with a mother grieving for her daughter who died (approx age of child is 7-10). The mother keeps the child's room just as it was when she died and sits in it daily. It has a window overlooking a yard and a huge tree and one day the mother sees the child standing next to the tree. She raced downstairs to see her daughter only to find her gone. I can't tell you what year it was or even narrow it down to a decade other than it was before 1980.

There is a movie with a girl from another country who is in a prearranged engagement and before she is supposed to wed she gets to travel. In her travels she meets a young man and falls in love. Once being sent back to where she came the young man finds her and wants to break her out. Throughout the movie they speak English as well one or two other languages. I remember seeing the title once but it was in another language so I cannot recall it. Can you help me? Thanks.

Answer: This story is repeated in a few different movies, but it sounds the most like the Hindi movie starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, "Dilwale Dulhania le Jayenge" also called DDLJ. Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are both Indians living in the UK. They separately travel around Europe primarily by train, on which they meet. They fall in love, but Kajol has already agreed that upon returning home she would marry the son of her father's longtime friend. The second act takes place in India where Shahrukh tries to break up the wedding and win over Kajol's family.

I remember watching a movie in the late 80's-early 90's that had a scene I can vaguely recall about a drawing of a house and a boy who gets trapped in it. Then the drawing gets thrown away and a garbage truck is about to compact it...and that's all I know. Do you know what movie this is? Thanks.

Answer: The movie is called Paper House.

There is a scene in a movie where a teenage guy and girl have sex in an empty carriage on a train. I don't know the movie or the actors but I really want to know what movie it is from - 1980s era.

Answer: It's The Babysitters I think - Teenage girls pretend to babysit but they are really prostituting themselves to the fathers.

I remember about five or more years ago I saw this movie about a girl or a guy who goes to Ireland and while there this older guy knocks their heads together. Later on he/she gets drunk and married and tries to get out of it, but falls in love. Oh and some guy lies too long in a tanning bed and gets badly burned.

Answer: I think the movie is 'The Matchmaker' with Janeane Garofalo. There is a knocking heads scene and a guy does spend too long in a tanning bed and burns, but there's no 'getting drunk, married and regretting it' scenario.

I am searching for a movie that I believe was made in the 90s.The plot involves a teenage girl who runs away for the summer due to family problems (from what I can remember it was stepmother in particular.) She ends up staying with her brother for the summer, who I believe lives on or by a lake. Her family finds out from her brother that she is there and follows her. This includes her mother and other extended family. I vaguely remember a pregnant girlfriend of a family member who falls in love with someone else (the brother perhaps?) And stays with him in the the end. I also remember a sister who falls in love. I saw this on TV, so it may have been a made for TV movie. Does this movie sound familiar?

Answer: That would be 1992's "Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even".

Please help. This movie was made around 1995-2001. Can't remember a lot of details. There was an old house and boy and a girl lived there. At the end of the movie we realize that they were possessed by spirits of two lovers, who died a long time ago. I also remember that the name of the boy is important, at the end of the movie he asks the protagonist to say his name aloud, and when he does, the boy dies.

What is the movie where two little girls become friends one who is rich and one poor. They say they are going to meet in the woods at dark but the dad of the poor girl beats her so badly she can't go. He beats her because he asked her Grandma if she remembered where something was. Canning stuff maybe. The little girl told him, and he beats her because he thinks she's psychic, and he says something about God and that's why he has to beat her. I think that the mean poor girl's dad finds the rich girl in the woods and does something to her, but I can't remember. Please help!

Answer: This sounds like "Carolina Moon," a Nora Roberts novel made into a Lifetime movie.

This has been driving me crazy for a while. I saw this movie as a kid and have been trying to find it ever since. I believe it's from the 80s or 90s. In the movie a little boy (maybe girl) finds some sort of egg and it grows up to be a friendly giant monster who the main character is best friends with. I can't remember much, and I know I'm not giving you much to go on, but I'm pretty sure the beast dies at the end. And it's not The Water Horse, its a pretty old movie. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Chosen answer: Sounds like The Legend of Galgameth to me. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113141.

I'm trying to remember the name of a movie that keeps popping up in my head. The only problem is that all I remember is a lady getting kidnapped by a man somewhere near a train, and towards the end he stabs her with a nail or bolt. He keeps her in a van. This movie was between the years of 1980 and 1995?

I will be surprised if someone can tell me the title of this movie, I remember one minor scene and it's driving me nuts. The scene involves a military transport jeep with the antagonist and a few characters. The characters get out of the truck and are with a female military person. He gives her a chance to run before he shoots her, and she runs for the trees. However he pulls out his gun and shoots her from afar, and she collapses in the distance once he shoots her. The setting is maybe a forest, I just remember trees and plants/bushes.

A few years back I was watching MTV and they played a movie. All I really remember is it had to do with bullying and a guy was on a video chatting website where other people can see him, and he was saying he was going to kill himself so he stared taking pills, and then when he started taking a lot people got worried and were saying they needed to call the police. The boy finally went in his bed and said goodbye - the cops came into his house and brought him to a hospital.

Answer: It could be the movie Suicide Room.

It's been bugging me a while now. There was a movie I saw only a few years ago, that I can not remember the title to, or even what it was about. I just have memory of one particularly funny scene and it's been driving me crazy trying to figure out what movie it was. All I remember from the movie is this scene where a guy and his family come home. They did something to piss someone off in the Navy, so they found their car in their living room. Impossible to fit through the doors, the Navy men had disassembled it piece by piece and put it back together right in his living room as a way of getting back at him for something. I can not remember what, or who plays in it. Anybody know what movie this is?

Chosen answer: Sounds like Youth in Revolt (2009) starring Michael Cera.

I've been looking everywhere for the name of this movie. It's an 80'2 90's drama/scary movie about a couple who are being stalked, or trying to be killed by a police officer. All I remember is that the cop helps them install a home security system and they agree on the password pyramid, and he tells them not to tell anyone what the password is. I remember that they find out the cop is the one after them because he uses the alarm code to enter their house, or something like that. All I clearly remember is the password being pyramid. Please help, if you can.

Answer: You're thinking of the 1992 film called "Unlawful Entry." It starred Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe as an affluent young couple who at first are aided by then are stalked by a corrupt cop played by Ray Liotta.

I can't figure out what movie I saw a few years ago. It may have been made in the 90's and I know few details. There was a woman who was in some sort of mental institution, this movie is not scary in any way. She was blonde and had a brother who may have become her caretaker, I know he taught her how to tie her shoes in the movie. He also got her help with some new special tests that did help her for a while but then began to fade, and she returned to being how she was before. In the institution was a man and they became very fond of each other, once in the movie I'm sure they rode a single bicycle. I also remember the brother living in an apartment and maybe she learned how to paint or draw there? She realized she would return to her normal state of mind and was very upset by it. That is basically all I can remember.

Chosen answer: Molly, starring Elizabeth Shue as the autistic sister and Aaron Eckhart as the brother. She has an experimental surgery to increase her intelligence. He teaches her to tie her shoelaces and ride a bike. But she gets a brain infection and reverts back to her old self.

I'm trying to find a movie I saw on hulu about 3 years ago. Ill try to describe it as best as I can . It wasn't a high budget looking film, possibly made for TV or straight to VHS kind of thing . Timeline 80's to early 90's. in the movie a young girl about 17 runs away from her stepfather and follows a letter to LA I believe to find her older sister who claimed to be a singer living well . She gets off a bus in the beginning with some money and luggage and tracks down the last know address on the letter. When she gets there there's no answer and and she ends up staying in the hallway of the apt overnight where she see some strange things (explicit) in the stairwell. Next morning she is awoken to a guy shooting a gun, and runs out leaving her stuff in the hallway. When she comes back she finds she was robbed. Without anything she leaves again. Later she bumps into a guy who questions her, not knowing he is a cop she kicks him and runs away. He chases her and both fall into a fountain or pool. Meanwhile we find out the sister is a prostitute in hiding? One scene has her setting a man up and tying him to a bed, he is later murdered. The cop takes the sister to the station and finds out she is a runaway. Skip some and he has let her stay with him for a while, meanwhile agreeing to help look for her sister if she stays put. She doesn't and goes to the club where her sister supposedly worked. The guy who runs it is a criminal that the cop is familiar with, he drags her from the club and they fight. Later they make love and begin to fall for each other. The cop and criminal continue to be confrontational and at the end the criminal kidnaps the girl, the cop says not her and fights him and saves her. sorry for the long description it's everything I remember but can't find on Google or hulu. Any suggestions?

Answer: It's been a long time since I saw it, but the plot is similar to Jailbait. Mid 80's. Renee Humphrey plays the girl, who comes to L.A., for some reason, and gets involved with a criminal who runs a club. C. Thomas Howell plays the cop trying to save her. I think.

I am looking for the title of a movie that has girls playing cups like in Pitch Perfect. There are two or more girls sitting on the ground playing cups. I'm not sure if they are singing or not. Thank you.

I'm looking for a black and white film I saw on TV as a child (maybe in the 70s). It had parents whose 2 or 3 year old daughter (blond, curly hair) was kidnapped while playing with water outside and, I think, never found, but possibly shown at the end to the audience to be in a children's home?

I am trying to find the title of a film. I remember watching it in the 1990's-early 2000's. From what I remember, a boy goes swimming at the beach during the storm and there is no lifeguard on duty. He ends up drowning and it shows him underwater drowning. At his funeral, a girl puts a picture of the two of them in his coffin. That's all I can't remember and no one seems to know the movie.

Chosen answer: I'm pretty sure it's "Dancing on the Moon". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0125058/.

The movie I'm looking for is a movie for kids. It's two kids from opposite camps or teams that are in love and there is a weird guy who is trying to hide a bear, who's living in the forest near the camp, to protect it. The kids discover the bear and try to help the guy. I think the movie is from around 1995.
