Abduction (2011)

Trivia: Depending on one's perspective, the creation ("invention") of McDonald's "Big Mac" in a Pittsburgh suburb (1966-67) was a wonderful or a horrific event! Whether related or unrelated, Pittsburgh has the highest number of bars (taverns/pubs) per capita than any other U.S. city.

Abduction (2011)

Trivia: Older negative descriptive words for the city of Pittsburgh, such as "smoky" and "rust-belt", have been largely replaced with more positive ones, such as "most livable", "comeback", "up and coming", and "The BURGH." The city that was "built on steel" has been transformed, now being a major thriving city known for cultural richness and medical, educational, and technological advancements.

Trivia: "The City of Bridges" isn't Pittsburgh's only nickname. Other nicknames include "Iron City" and "Steel City" (referring to manufacturing prior to deindustrialization); "City of Champions", "Blitzburgh" and "Sixburgh" (pertaining to Super Bowls won by the Steelers); "Smoky City" and "Dirty 'Burgh" (self-explanatory); and the more derogatory "$h!tsburgh."

Abduction (2011)

Trivia: Nathan and Karen were spotted traveling on the "Fourth Street Bridge." The odds of being on a bridge when fleeing the city of Pittsburgh (movie's primary setting) are quite high - there are 446 bridges in Pittsburgh, the greatest number of any other city in the world. [Venice, Italy previously held the record with 443 bridges.] Perhaps not surprisingly, Pittsburgh is nicknamed "The City of Bridges."

Dismissed (2017)

Plot hole: Principal Fermont gave Mr. Butler a "solid recommendation" for the professorship position he was applying for and Mr. Butler thought he was going to be hired. However, colleges/universities typically require applicants to hold a PhD in the field of study. Mr. Butler would not be likely to get through the Search Committee's initial screening with his M.A, and would not get hired. [There are far many more people with PhDs than there are openings and tenure-track positions are rare these days.]. (00:33:34)

Dismissed (2017)

Character mistake: After Mr. Butler was late getting to his first period English class (due to having a flat tire), he picked up a few markers to write on the white board, but none of the markers had any ink in them. Mr. Butler then told the class, "Let's have a reading day." Public school teachers have daily lesson plans to follow, and a "reading day" would not meet his teaching obligation or fulfill his responsibility. (00:29:30)

Dismissed (2017)

Other mistake: Mr. Butler was late getting to his first period English class the morning he had a flat tire (which Lucas slashed). He went directly into his classroom from the door that opens to the outside of the building (which is odd for a school classroom). Typically, teachers must sign in as "present" and have a homeroom period before their first class. Someone would have had to cover Mr. Butler's homeroom and someone (perhaps Principal Fermont) would have gone to his first period class until he arrived. (00:28:35)

Way Down (2021)

Deliberate mistake: When James started to fall off the ladder, he tried to jump to reach the other side. Thom grabbed his right hand with his and was able to pull him to safety. James' weight and the force with which he jumped and swayed would have most likely resulted in James pulling Thom over the edge with him, and both being seriously injured or killed. (01:22:26)

The Little Things (2021)

Revealing mistake: Deacon uses "hidden" food to get the dog to come up to him. The "treat" is largely concealed - but the dog's slobber gives it away. The camera shifts after Deacon's hand goes next to the dog's mouth, giving the impression that Deacon is just petting the dog under his neck. (00:06:35)

Suggested correction: He was feeding him. You can see him eating out of his hand. The food isn't "hidden" You can hear the dog sounding as if he were eating something and his face is in his hand. Those were added sound effects in post. At first glance I got the impression he was giving the dog a treat as they were pals.

Part 1: Based on the circumstances plus Deacon's actions immediately before, during, and after his encounter with the dog, I believe it was a lousy attempt at luring the dog but trying to give the impression there was no lure (food). Deacon did not have food when he came out of his house and wasn't expecting the dog to be there. Deacon even pointed his right fingers toward the dog when he said, " You [are] the one [who has] been gone for the last two weeks." Deacon stoops down and [continued].

KeyZOid

Part 2:...makes an effort to point his right hand fingers downward, again giving the impression he wasn't holding anything (food). If feeding a hungry, cautious dog, I think he would have displayed the food in the palm of his hand (what is there to hide if actually feeding the dog?). When "sneaking" the food into the dog's mouth, a small piece can be seen falling to the ground. Deacon holds the dog under his neck, probably to keep the dog from reaching the food that has fallen.

KeyZOid

Part 3: (The dog later picks up the piece that fell.) Taking all these odd movements into consideration, I'm sticking with my assertion - Deacon "surreptiously" lured the dog, but his actions were noticeable, thereby revealing what was actually happening. Also, if the dog was missing for two weeks, Deacon would not have been likely to bring food out for the dog that morning. Anyone wanting to view the scene and serve as a tie-breaker, start at 00:06:26, watch Deacon's right fingers @ 0:06:32+.

The Lost Husband (2020)

Stupidity: At the outdoor market, Libby told her old girlfriends that she'd "be right back" and went into a stall in the women's room. Soon, her girlfriends came in but stayed in front by the mirror. Without bothering to look if anyone (particularly, Libby) was in one of the three stalls, they started talking negatively about Libby (e.g, " Ugh, what is it about her that is so irritating?", "I feel sorry for her", "She looks like she's wearing a Halloween costume", "She's like a lumberjack"). Nomadland (2020)

Continuity mistake: During the cafeteria scene, Carl initially has his left arm behind Fern's, resting on the top of her chair. When there's a quick shift to a wide view of the cafeteria, Carl is now holding a bag of potato chips in his left hand, which is over the table (not resting on the back of Fern's chair). The wide camera view MIGHT be trying to show that time has passed and lunch is almost over. However, Angela is still talking about her tattoo, indicating that there has not been a gap in time. Nomadland (2020)

Continuity mistake: There are some continuity problems during the cafeteria scene where Fern is being introduced to her co-workers. Fern is holding a banana, peeled almost to the bottom, and has several slices of banana on her peanut butter sandwich. There is another banana peel on her paper lunch bag. Fern is shown taking a bite of her sandwich. A little later, Fern is holding a partially peeled banana but no slices can be seen on her sandwich. If this is her second sandwich, she already peeled two bananas. (00:05:59 - 00:06:32)

Half Brothers (2020)

Continuity mistake: The number and location of the blue gas containers that fell out of the rear of the station wagon change. Initially, three containers fell out. Only one was visible on the road and it was to the side of the rear bumper, not on the road where it fell/ landed. Next, no blue containers are visible on the road, followed by one container being behind the passenger side rear tire. No blue containers are on the road when the goat comes out. Half Brothers (2020)

Revealing mistake: The backgrounds during the pawn shop scenes often change, suggesting the use of a "green screen." For example, the grandfather clock was behind the clerk to his left, then not there, but back again. Sometimes shirts are hanging in the front windows but other times there are other items there. Continuity mistake: When the goat is in the back seat, its position changes with camera views a few times. For example, it was facing towards the passenger side, then its head was between the front seats. Also, it looks more like a mechanical goat more often than not. (00:55:57 - 00:56:26)

The Virtuoso (2021)

Stupidity: After the Sheriff was shot in the neck but was able to run into the woods, he hid behind a wide tree trunk. He shot at the Virtuoso but missed. Instead of staying behind the wide tree trunk and shooting again as the Virtuoso advanced toward him, he flees from tree to tree where the trunks are not as wide, giving him less protection and more of a disadvantage. Eventually, he is killed by the Virtuoso. (01:21:48 - 01:22:26)

The Virtuoso (2021)

Revealing mistake: Much of the cemetery scene with the Mentor was "green screened." The backgrounds were inconsistent (e.g, trees and tree trunks) and sometimes the Virtuoso's and Mentor's head were practically together when facing each other. The sizes of their heads also varied at times. The Mentor also was at an angle to the Virtuoso during his long speech, at least giving the impression that he was using cue cards to remember his lines. A couple times, the Mentor looked like he lost his place. (00:15:24)

The Virtuoso (2021)

Stupidity: There were three vehicles parked in front of Rosie's Cafe when the Virtuoso arrived before 5:00 PM. As he walked past the vehicles, he surreptitiously took photos of the license plates to help him identify the likely target. The Waitress' Jeep was parked apart from these vehicles, on the side of the restaurant. The Virtuoso went by the restaurant's front windows where the target possibly could see him and took a photo of the Jeep's plate. (The fact that no-one noticed is irrelevant).

The Virtuoso (2021)

Stupidity: A majority of what the Waitress did was highly questionable, but her manipulation of and reliance on the Virtuoso to kill the (impostor) Sheriff (in particular) was foolish and could have very well led to her not being able to complete her mission. The Waitress made the Virtuoso become suspicious of the Sheriff by saying there was something "off" about him and his badge didn't look real. Believing he positively identified and killed "White Rivers", the Virtuoso could have easily left the area.
