Character mistake: Without probable cause or exigent circumstances, the Sheriff's Deputy went into Kya's house and confiscated the red wool hat. (If evidence is seized in violation of the 4th Amendment, it is not admissible in court. "In plain view" was not relevant under the circumstances - they had no evidence that the red fibers came from a red wool hat.) He carried the hat outside (without wearing gloves or putting it an evidence bag) then handed it to the Sheriff, who also was not wearing gloves. (00:07:06)

Character mistake: The Sheriff's Department knew there was little/no evidence at the murder scene, but they did "have those red fibers found on the jacket - sweater, scarf, could be anything." After overhearing bar patrons saying the Marsh girl could be the killer, the Sheriff and a Deputy went to her house, apparently without a warrant or probable cause. They went into her screened-in porch, the Deputy saw a red wool hat through the window, said it was "in plain view" and took it. The hat was illegally seized. (00:04:50 - 00:06:45)

Continuity mistake: Various views of Chase's dead body were inconsistent. From the two boys' perspective, Chase's body was at the edge of the water and the sun was shining on the water and along/near his left leg. An aerial view showed a canopy of tree leaves over the area, meaning the sunshine would not be able to penetrate the thick tree cover. From the sheriff's view in the tower (unobstructed by trees), the position of Chase's body relative to the fire tower was too far away and at the wrong angle. (00:03:00 - 00:04:08)

Trivia: "Megalodon" means "large tooth." Without a complete fossil/skeleton, scientists used the size of teeth to estimate the shark's actual length/size (which may not be accurate) and concluded it was the largest shark known to have existed. At an estimated 15-18 meters, the Megalodon was about three times the length of a Great White shark.

Stupidity: Two oil rig workers were looking at two young ladies in bikinis who were sunning themselves on a boat/yacht. One oil rig worker said, "That's where we should be right now. With them, enjoying the sun, instead of baking in it." Both men had double layers on - a jacket or sweater over a jersey or T-shirt - and one man was wearing a tossel cap. Even if it gets cold on the rigs at night, they did not need to be dressed in warm attire during the sunny daylight hours. (00:10:35)

Remember Me (2022)

Character mistake: Doreen/Mom told Rose she'd be back from the store "in a jiffy." Rose asked, "How long is a 'jiffy'?" and Doreen replied "in about an hour." "Jiffy" typically means VERY fast (perhaps as short as a nanosecond) and, even if people have different perceptions of how much time a "jiffy" is, an hour is excessive by general standards and does not reflect its true meaning. Remember Me (2022)

Other mistake: Jamie was strangling Rose with both hands, quite forcefully, for almost a minute until his dad hit him over his head. When Rose was getting up, her neck was not the least bit red and did not show any signs of having been choked. (01:05:05 - 01:06:03)

Remember Me (2022)

Factual error: Rose's legs were paralyzed, but when she was dragging herself on the floor, she occasionally used her feet to help propel her body forward (and moved her feet downward) - something she would not be able to do if her legs were paralyzed. (00:33:40)

Continuity mistake: After Brecken was done "chewing on the wastebasket" and his mother was sitting next to it in the bathroom, the "bite pattern" along half of the rim was different (not as jagged or deep) and represented what would be an earlier, lower level of the plastic being bitten off. Infinite (2021)

Deliberate mistake: Nora's car smashed through the (almost floor-length) windows in the police station and exited the building airborne - and stayed airborne long enough to clear a police car parked alongside the building (or curb). (00:27:05)

Infinite (2021)

Continuity mistake: Nora's car crashed through the garage door or wall, leaving a trapezoid-like shape with curved sides. The few flashes of the same during the scene were enough to perceive the differences in the shape of the hole she caused. At one point, it was almost square. A little later, the hole in the door/wall was about twice as wide, resembling a rectangle but with a dome on the right side. (00:25:35 - 00:26:02)

Continuity mistake: The position of the sword on the table varies. The doctor originally set it roughly parallel to the edge of the table, but sometimes it was at an angle. Also, the ribbon where the blade meets the handle usually has a prop on it to keep the handle raised. (00:19:34 - 00:22:06)

Character mistake: When Toby said, "Cops found a sword on him [Evan]", he pronounced the "w" in sword, but it is a silent "w" (not pronounced). Sword is correctly pronounced like "sord" or "soared." (00:18:28)

Infinite (2021)

Factual error: Treadway used his rear tire to fling a standard sized brick into the path of the police car chasing him. The brick (which weighs between 4.5 - 6 #) not only broke through the police car's windshield, it proceeded to break through the rear window, plus apparently gained enough speed and upward curve to break through the next police car's windshield. A brick flung at an upward curve would not break through a windshield and take a linear path through the car and break the rear window, etc. (00:04:18)

A Dark Place (2018)

Factual error: The blue license plate with yellowing lettering has not been used in Pennsylvania since 1999. The date on the inspection sticker on the front windshield of a vehicle was "7/17" (July 2017 expiration date). A 2017 Pennsylvania plate was (and still is) white in the middle with a strip of blue along the top and yellow along the bottom. (00:19:52 - 01:19:30)

A Dark Place (2018)

Deliberate mistake: The movie is set in "Harburg County", Pennsylvania, but there is no county in Pennsylvania called "Harburg." (00:13:38)

Continuity mistake: When Billy goes back in time and the boy king Huko unzips his vest, the medallion is hanging at the top of the zipper but was hanging much lower earlier. (The length of the rope changes). (00:31:34)

Revealing mistake: Close-up views of Billy riding Allie on the mini-bike (trying to escape the men following in the Jeep) did not include the lower half of the mini-bike; they were probably on a platform/trailer being pulled by a car. A 12-year-old (?) boy would have difficulty steering and maneuvering a mini-bike with a rider similar in size/weight and would have undoubtedly wrecked when he turned his body around from the waist up to look in back of him at the tailing Jeep. Billy also kept turning the throttle. (00:25:40)

KeyZOid

Stupidity: Billy and Allie saw there were several men in the area also searching for the medallion and the kids even hid from the men minutes before finding the medallion. Instead of quickly sneaking away after they found the medallion, Billy and Allie stayed in the same spot and Billy shouted, "We found it! We found it!" Seconds later, two men came from behind the tree. (00:24:00 - 00:24:21)

Deliberate mistake: After John poured gasoline on/around the Mercedes, set it on fire, and it was surrounded by flames, he was able to put his hand through the flames to open the rear passenger door and get inside. He did not burn his hand on the hot metal door handle and did not catch any of his clothes on fire or even singe his hair. His hand was not injured because he was able to hold and aim his pistol with it. (00:35:04)
