Trivia: The setting is a little different (9-year-old Izzy is left alone at school), but "Home Alone" fans should recognize some parallel scenes. For example, the parents say, "We did it again" (forget to pick up Izzy after school) and run frantically through the halls; severe winter weather interferes with reaching Izzy; Izzy raids the refrigerator and pigs out on junk food; Izzy considers riding a skateboard down the steps, etc. Of course, there are stupid thieves who break into the school.

Trivia: "Traditionalist" Hank sees the decorated Christmas tree along the street and says, "This is not a Christmas tree... that should be a star on the tree." Stars may be the most (or among the most) popular tree-toppers today, but baby Jesus and an angel are the earliest tree-toppers.

Trivia: Hanging onto Christmas traditions may not be the only theme in the movie. Hank's building is located on "S. Industrial Av." Interspersed among vast Christmas decorations are signs for traditional oil/gasoline companies, including "Standard Oil", "Pennzoil", and "Keystone Gas." There is even a "Firestone" sign - it takes several gallons of oil to make one tire. Ironically, electric toy trains are traditional. (00:37:50 - 00:42:32)

Trivia: Grumpy Cat (AKA, "Tardar Sauce") dies in 2019 at age 7 (4/04/12 - 5/14/19) due to urinary tract infection complications. Her small size (a little over 4#) is due to a form of dwarfism and her grumpy look is attributed to an underbite. Although not revealed, it is estimated that Grumpy Cat earns millions of dollars (perhaps as high as $100 million) during her short life as an internet sensation and "movie star."

Trivia: Mall security guard George tells Zack and Donny that he is not a jerk - he is a "Mastermind." Grumpy Cat thinks, "Oh no, yeah, you're a limp short of being Keyser Soze." Keyser Soze refers to the main antagonist (played by Kevin Spacey) in "The Usual Suspects" (1995). (01:01:10)

Trivia: "Traditionalist" Hank insists, "There's no green in candy canes. Green is for peppermint sticks. They [candy canes] should be red [striped]." Original candy canes are solid white (no red stripes) and are straight sticks (not shaped like canes). Hank's age is not disclosed, and traditions can change over time, so Hank's assertions cannot be classified as a "character mistake." (00:03:17)

Trivia: Neil (thief) sees the rag doll on the chair and says, "Holy Smokes, this is old." Raggedy Ann and brother Raggedy Andy dolls are still manufactured today. The Raggedy Ann doll in the movie appears to be circa 1940s and might sell for $100 - 200 (used) on E-Bay. Dolls imprint with the 9/07/15 patent date may worth $1,000 - 3,000. (00:35:20)

Rent-a-Groom (2023)

Trivia: The correct spelling of Kylee Bush is "Tracey", as shown on the "Congratulations" banner at her office and under "Cast" at the end of the movie. Trivia: The "Prime Video" includes a goof/factual error stating: "At 18:26 when Ben looks in the refrigerator there is definitely light illuminating the interior despite there supposedly being no electricity in the house. In addition, he sets his flashlight on the table so it can't be from that." To the contrary, there is no apparent power outage. Jack leaves Ben a note stating "Keep lights off. Stay hidden" and Ben later flicks off the light switch. The reported "factual error" is nonfactual. (00:04:35 - 00:12:07)
