The Last Son (2021)

Trivia: "Infanticide" refers to a parent deliberately killing a child, either an infant or up to a one-year-old. The lesser-known general term "filicide" refers to a parent (or functional equivalent, such as step-parent) killing a child. Related terms wherein a family member kills another family member include "parricide" (a child killing a parent) and "siblicide" (obviously, killing a brother or sister).

The Deep House (2021)

Trivia: Most of the underwater in-house scenes are too dark to see what is happening. The occasional use of a completely black screen adds to the unpleasant viewing experience.

Dismissed (2017)

Trivia: The "Iowa State University of Art and Science" / "Master of Literature" diploma on Mr. Butler's home office wall contains some blatant errors, suggesting it might have been an on-line "fake diploma" purchase from FakeDiplomamall.com, FastDiploma.com, or similar website. An example shown on these websites is for Science and Technology and it appears someone did not know the proper substitutions to submit - "Liberal Arts and Sciences" and "Master of English" (with Literature Specialization). Trivia: Emma Watson Sam said, "[Bob's] still trying to shag that waitress from the Olive Garden." Emma is an English actor, but the movie is a semi-autobiography of writer Steven Chbosky and is set in a suburb of Pittsburgh, 1991-92 school year. "Shag" is NOT (and was not) commonly used in the U.S. to refer to having sex. "Shag" in the U.S. is more commonly known as referring to a type of carpet, haircut, or dancing. (00:12:13)

Trivia: Other than "Big Red" (and an odd shade at that), it isn't clear or specified what breed of dog Clifford is. Labrador seems to be the consensus, but the initial prototype reportedly was a Bloodhound and some assert Clifford is a Giant Vizsla.

Trivia: "Brucoverde", the spiral-bound Italian book along the wall behind Valeria's child's bed/pillow, translates to Green Caterpillar -bruco means caterpillar and verde is green. The cover looks light orange from the lamp, but is actually white. The book sells for 7,90 € ($8.26) on Amazon. The first time I tried to find it on Amazon, it was listed at $220.71 and currently not available. (00:20:19)

A Day to Die (2022)

Trivia: Even if 67-year-old Willis was playing the role of a somewhat younger Chief of Police in Jackson, Mississippi, he would still be a statistical anomaly. In the U. S, the average age of a Police Chief is around 46 or 47 and the average tenure is only one or two years. Regarding Jackson, over 82% of the population is Black or African American. Since the early 1990s, a vast majority of the Jackson Police Chiefs were not White.

A Day to Die (2022)

Trivia: Bruce "appears" more in this movie than many of his recent movies (flops), but they are merely flashes of his character standing or sitting around, apparently reacting to others (by making faces). In the first 30 minutes of the film, there are almost as many two or three second flashes showing his character but with no spoken words. The Bruce "appearances" continue throughout the movie. Most of his "lines" are comprised of THREE to occasionally several words at a time.

A Day to Die (2022)

Trivia: In Roslyn Anderson's 4/04/22 WLBT.COM article, "Bruce Willis Showed Few Symptoms While Filming 'A Day to Die', According to Movie Producer", the producer stated, "There were a few times where we saw that [manifestations of Willis' aphasia]." This seems like a gross understatement. Watching the movie, Willis' character Chief Alston has very short lines, many/most of which are off-screen, cutting away to briefly show another character (similar to lines delivered by young children).

A Day to Die (2022)

Trivia: Willis' LAST film that will be released. It was filmed about a year before the 4/04/22 announcement that he was diagnosed with aphasia (a type of frontotemporal dementia that affects the ability to speak, write, and understand written language) and "stepping away from acting."

Suggested correction: I'm not sure what you mean by this is his last film to be released when 3 films have been released since "A Day to Die" came out. Not to mention 2 upcoming films set to be released shortly. Plus, Willis had finished 3 Lionsgate films whose releases are unknown.

Jack Frost (1998)

Trivia: The movie is set in fictional Medford, CO, but the Jack Frost Band was performing at Denver's Music Hall; Medford would be somewhere not too far away. Denver may not be as cold and snowy as many people seem to believe. Colorado's weather can be quite varied in December, with average highs around 45° F. The day Jack the Snowman was starting to melt was going to be around 70° F, but December temperatures reportedly rarely exceed 67° F. Dec 1-2, 2021 reached 73° and 72° F (some record-breaking).

Jack Frost (1998)

Trivia: Near the beginning, an announcer states, "That's Medford's own Jack Frost Band." There are twelve U.S. cities named Medford, but there is no Medford in Colorado where the film is set, just a Medford Springs, which is literally a spring (not city). Medford, Oregon is probably the most well-known. Other states with a Medford: Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The fictional Medford, Texas was also for a movie. (00:03:18)

Twist (2021)

Dangerous Minds (1995)

Trivia: There are articles on-line reporting the murder of "Marisela Gonzales", who was shot by her husband in San Pedro on October 11th or 12th, 2020. There are also questions if Marisela, who played "Angela" in "Dangerous Minds" (1985) is still alive. From the police reports, the correct spelling of the 28-year-old woman killed was "Marisela Gonzalez" - ending with a "z", not "s." The Marisela who played Angela was born in 1968, and is currently 52 - so, obviously, not the 28-year-old murder victim.

Naked Singularity (2021)

Trivia: "Singularities" are infinitely dense points. When something is compressed to the point of having a volume of ZERO, its density is thought of as being infinite - in other words, a "singularity." A typical example is the inside (center) of a black hole. A huge star - that once had a large mass - was reduced to nothing, but that "nothing" has a density that is infinite. It is at a point of "no return" (an event horizon), so is not visible. BUT "naked singularities" could exist - and be visible.

Trivia: Seeing the "In God We Trust" sign on the classroom wall of a public school might lead some to question its Constitutionality, but it has been the National motto since the 1950s.
