The Darkness (2016)

Continuity mistake: The close-up view of the five stones on the rock was different from the distant view. The shape of the larger rock they were on had a dip in it (left-center) and had a bigger arc to the right. The five stones were arranged (spaced) differently even after accounting for the different angles and distances at which Mikey saw them. For example, the two stones on the left side were further apart and the two stones on the right side lined up more vertically. (00:06:13)

The Twin (2017)

Continuity mistake: Tyler was given a pat-down before going into Derek's room, and he did not have a cell phone in any of his pockets, yet he was able to produce a cell phone to show Derek a photo. (00:16:05 - 00:18:53)

Hot Seat (2022)

Other mistake: A sniper in a building across the street had his rifle's scope aimed at Orlando's head. Reed came into the room with his gun drawn and walked behind Orlando to reach Ava. The Captor saw Reed via video surveillance and told him to leave. The sniper should have seen Reed but somehow did not. (01:12:12 - 01:13:46)

Hot Seat (2022)

Continuity mistake: When Jackson put the fiberscope/ borescope camera next to the bottom of the door, the light was on, but the light was not on when the snake scope was shown coming under the door on the opposite side. (01:03:06)

Hot Seat (2022)

Stupidity: While Reed and Jackson slid the fiberscope (or borescope camera) under the door and the whole time they were looking into the room, they stood in front of the door instead of moving to the side. If the perpetrator saw the camera and shot through the door, Reed and/or Jackson could have been seriously injured or killed. (01:03:05 - 01:04:43)

Hot Seat (2022)

Continuity mistake: The handcuff around Ava's right wrist looks loose enough for her to free herself simply by pulling her hand through it. In a later shot, the handcuff is closed almost against her skin. (00:54:30 - 01:00:39)

Revealing mistake: The boat's motor/engine was in the center-rear when Annie and Jodie brought it to the beach, but when Nic and the others were looking at the boat, the motor was off to the side (near the corner). The position of the motor varied, sometimes being in the corner when one of the riders would have obstructed its view. The appearance of the motor and which direction it was facing, the size of the tiller handle, and whether the water inlet port/propeller could be seen also varied. (00:48:57 - 00:49:47)

Dashcam (2021)

Continuity mistake: Annie's car's steering wheel is on the left side, but her dashcam showed her on the right side. Both hands appeared to be on/near the steering wheel (not adjusting the dashcam), followed by a brief view of her right hand playing on a keyboard, then returning to Annie who was now on the left side with her left hand on the steering wheel and a cigarette in her right hand. Also, when Annie was on the right side driving, there was no overhead light on above her head, but there was after she moved. (00:15:32 - 00:16:02)

Revealing mistake: Lily was sitting in the back seat of Andrea's small sedan with her head out the window. Part of Lily's friend's upper left body could be seen to her right but the rest of her body was made to appear as though the door frame was blocking it from view. In alternate shots, the friend's upper body is side-by-side with Lily's - but no sedan has a window that wide, the door frame was not there, and the friend would not be able to sit in a back seat like she was because of the driver's seat. The Twin (2017)

Continuity mistake: When Derek (as Tyler) goes into the hallway and when he walks outside toward the SUV, no cell phone outline can be seen in his front pockets. Somehow, he has Tyler's phone (or a different phone) when he gets inside the SUV. (00:20:15 - 00:20:45)

The Twin (2017)

Plot hole: Derek, who escaped the mental hospital by pretending to be his twin brother Tyler, was able to locate Tyler's vehicle by using the keys to beep its horn. Once inside the SUV, he apparently found Tyler's cell phone, which is odd because most people carry their cell phones with them. But Derek did not ask Tyler for his cell phone's password before rendering him unconscious - so how did he gain access to the cell phone without the password? (It isn't likely that Tyler previously gave it to him). (00:20:40)

Suggested correction: Tyler never left his cell phone in the car. He had with him when visiting Derek. We see him pull out his cell phone to show Derek a picture, so the phone was already unlocked, assuming he locks it with a password in the first place.

I haven't had time to finish posting the rest of the mistakes I have, but I just uploaded two that should show up under "pending submissions." They probably should have been posted before the one above. I suppose the real question is where the cell phone came from each time.

KeyZOid

The cell phones came from their pockets. None of my pants show an outline of my phone in my pocket.

Bishop73

What about the pat-down?

KeyZOid

He was checking for weapons, not phones.

The Twin (2017)

Other mistake: Derek changed into Tyler's clothes to escape the hospital and take on Tyler's identity. However, it does not look like he remembered to put his blue hospital ID band onto Tyler's right wrist. Hospital bands are usually securely on and not easily removed (or removable without breaking them). When the nurse was removing Derek's (actually, Tyler's) wrist restraints, there was no blue hospital ID band on his right wrist. He asked, "How do I prove to you who I really am?" (No ID band!). The Twin (2017)

Revealing mistake: One actor played the roles of the twins. At the mental hospital, there were subtle but noticeable differences between the way Derek's bangs were combed to the right (flatter with no loose ends sticking out) and he had a small section of hair raised near the back of his part. When Derek left as Tyler, he still had Tyler's more jagged bangs and no raised section of hair near the back of his part. It's against the odds that the twins would have the exact same facial hair/haircut on visiting day. (00:17:45 - 00:20:20)

Continuity mistake: There's a vase of yellow flowers to the right of the helium "Happy Birthday" balloon (and screen). When Ashley gets up to answer the door, she walks past the balloon and the vase of flowers should be visible but is not. (00:01:40 - 00:02:28)

Send It (2021)

Continuity mistake: During the rain delay, Billy and Skeeter are sitting on the grass with wet - but not dripping - hair. After showing Billy's face dry a few times, he has a water bead on the tip of his nose, left cheek, and under his chin. Then, every other shot, the water beads are present. (01:21:32 - 01:22:10)

Continuity mistake: When Margaret got off the elevator, she had hair from her right side pulled back over her head and curved toward the left side. It stayed like this while she was walking down the hallway, but her hair was different when the camera shifted to a front view. (Her hair frequently changes from combed to dishevelled or between various forms of dishevelled - too many to document here and without adding anything more of significance). (00:12:35 - 00:14:11)

The Truth (2010)

Continuity mistake: The tape covering Dana's mouth starts out being smooth/flat but changes several times to loose/wrinkled. In close-up shots, the perimeter is likely to be completely adhered around her mouth with the rest of the tape smooth and even. (00:12:50 - 00:13:54)

Continuity mistake: Frequently throughout the movie, both within and between scenes, the way Tim's hair is combed or dishevelled varies. The changed length of his bangs is particularly noticeable.

Youth in Revolt (2009)

Continuity mistake: The location of Mr. Ferguson's body on the rug (while he was apparently in a "mushroom stupor") changed a few times. He started with his head near the lefthand edge of the rug, but was about a yard toward the right edge when Nick was walking past him. A little later, Mr. Ferguson's feet were at the right edge of the rug, then about a foot beyond the rug, but his body was back to the middle with the next camera shift. (01:01:35 - 01:04:23)
