He was even turned over so that Leonard could stitch the back side (exit wound). Richie's hair became somewhat disheveled during the procedure, but after he recovered and walked into the other room, his hair was neatly combed/styled and his suit/tie showed no wrinkling or signs of blood on them (unlike his shirt around the wound). A view from the back seat shows the right temple (stem/arm) reaching between the blue and green balls and almost touching the green one. The temples also go from spread apart to folded/overlapping, with the right lens behind the red ball instead of the green ball where it was. The angle of the camera cannot explain this. Continuity mistake: The monkey figurines (or charms) on the beads hanging from the rearview mirror change positions from being more horizontal (side-by-side) to vertical (one below the other, and at different distances). Swaying from the SUV's movement might explain some change, but the weight of the monkeys should have kept their positions more balanced (side-by-side or one at the top and the other at the bottom). Trivia: The day John F. Kennedy was assassinated (11/22/63), school was let out early. When Maurey and Sam got to her house, it was 12:05 on the wall clock. When Sam went home, it was 12:25 PM. This makes it appear as though they knew about the assassination before it happened (around 12:30 PM), but Dallas falls under Central Standard Time (CST) and the movie is set in Wyoming, which is Mountain Standard Time (MST) or one hour behind CST. That is, 12 PM in Wyoming would be 1 PM in Dallas, Texas.

Character mistake: Sam and Maurey were watching TV news coverage of Kennedy's assassination (11/22/63). When Petey got home (around 12:05 PM MST), he tried to change the channel, then said, "Mom, Maurey won't let me watch 'Rocky'." Laurabel/Mom said, "You know he watches 'Rocky' every afternoon." But school was let out early due to the assassination, so Petey would normally be in school at noon and therefore not be able to watch "Rocky" at that time in the afternoon. (00:21:30 - 00:23:17)

Other mistake: When Uncle Joey was on the phone talking to his sister and when he got to her house to pick up his niece and nephew, he did not have a circular red cut or rash above his right eyebrow. The red area also could not be seen most of the time when he was driving, but at a couple points it was visible - despite the visor on his cap blocking out light and its visibility. At the campgrounds, Uncle Joey wore a headband but it wasn't needed to conceal the red area like the cap was - the red area was gone. (00:07:10 - 00:11:26)

Continuity mistake: The choke chain collar on Mr. Bojangles was pulled snug against his neck with several inches of the chain hanging, then ends of the choke chain were hanging around his neck as loosely as possible (similar to wearing a necklace). Continuity mistake: Sitting (immobile) on the chair, the position of Humpty's head changed a few times. Sometimes his head was facing forward but other times it was at an angle. The height on Humpty's head relative to the top of the back of the chair also changed - from about 3" below to 4" above to approximately.even and 1-2" below. Rhode Island is nicknamed "The Ocean State" [also, "Little Rhody"]. "The Island State" would not be an appropriate nickname because Rhode Island is not an island... but it does have four islands. As the smallest U.S. state, more than 220 Rhode Islands would fit into the second-largest state, Texas.

Stupidity: Grace (?) came out of hiding holding a fire extinguisher upside-down as though prepared to use the fire extinguisher to whack any Allosaurus that approached her. Actually spraying the dinosaur's eyes with the chemical contents of the fire extinguisher - and from a greater distance by using the hose - would have been much more practical and effective as a repellent and thereby less likely to result in getting maimed/killed. Stupidity: When Amy heard Luce coming toward the kitchen, she "hid" his school paper and bag of fireworks in a kitchen cupboard, apparently while knowing Luce would be doing the dishes (and putting them away in the cupboards). Amy and Peter were on the patio (with the door open) just outside the kitchen when Luce was doing the dishes yet Amy made no attempt to prevent Luce from finding his paper and bag of fireworks (which he did). Continuity mistake: When the dinosaur escaped from the truck, the truck was either facing in the opposite direction or the cement (?) structures that were on the passenger's side became a grassy hill with trees. Continuity mistake: When Private Connors got out of the front passenger side of the truck, there were no orange "cones" visible in front of the truck, but there was a toppled one after a camera shift that should have been visible earlier. Also, there was a toppled orange cone and an upright one behind the truck, which were not there when the truck was approaching that spot on the road (and would have smashed both had they been there when driving through that section of the road). Revealing mistake: The views to the right and left of the truck on the road did not flow in the manner expected if they were actually there (as opposed to using a green screen). Also, as soon as a "stop" sign could be seen to the right, the camera shifted to the driver, who kept driving as though the stop sign was not there. The structures to the right of the truck were blue but became white when the camera shifted to a front view (not using a green screen). (00:01:20)
