Eraser: Reborn (2022)

Character mistake: After Robyn asked Mason who Bud was, Mason said, "Bud was Paul and I's staff sergeant in Afghanistan." [Sic] FBI agents have at least a BA/BS and often advanced (graduate) °. Mason's use of "I's" is not proper and reflects his failure to master basic English. The possessive pronoun of "I" is "my", so Mason should have said "Paul's and my..." (01:35:16)

Pursuit (2022)

Factual error: When they were driving away from the bar, neither Zoe (driver) nor Breslin fastened their seatbelts. Seatbelts are mandatory in New York for the driver and passenger (s) and failure to "buckle up" is classified as a primary offense, meaning no other violation must be observed before police can stop and cite violators. Trivia: Mike asked the Sheriff, "What flavor of ketchup?" and the Sheriff replied, "Heinz 57." Heinz 57 is not a flavor of ketchup and, contrary to popular belief, it did not reflect the number of varieties of condiments Heinz had for sale when the company started using the logo - which is what it actually is, a logo. There is an account of how the logo came to be. The Brand Director for Heinz reported that the 57 actually stands for his (5) and his wife's (7) "lucky" numbers. (00:44:55)

Pursuit (2022)

Revealing mistake: When William and Jack open the door, enter the room, and walk past the helium-filled balloons (tied to a chair about 4' away), the balloons remain immobile. Due to how light helium balloons are, just opening the door or breathing nearby would be enough to cause the balloons to move somewhat - if they were actually there. (00:16:00)

The Lodge (2019)

Revealing mistake: Grace set and held her knees twice onto the smoldering logs on the fireplace hearth extension. There was no indication either time that her pants' knees caught fire. There were not even any sparks/ashes flying from the pressure of her knees onto the logs. (01:27:50 - 01:28:27)

The Lodge (2019)

Continuity mistake: Grace was wearing an over-sized (gray?) sweater when she was outside sitting on the porch steps holding her dead dog Grady. Aiden and Mia put a dark-colored (black?) blanket around Grace's shoulders and it draped past her hips, touching the porch. It does not appear as though Grace still had the blanket draped over her shoulders or anywhere when there was a distant view of her still sitting on the porch. (01:24:05 - 01:26:55)

Indian Horse (2017)

Continuity mistake: The rolled-up red blanket is behind the tan roll in the canoe when Saul is rowing away. When the camera shifts to a rear view, the rolled red blanket is mostly on top of the tan roll. (00:11:35)

Body Cam (2020)

Other mistake: When Lomito was holding the little green ball with the smiley face on it, her flashlight was shining on her fingers/fingernails - all of which were long and manicured. The length of her fake fingernails - even if they did not exceed the department's policy on maximum length, such as one-fourth inch past the fingertip - probably were long enough to interfere with her ability to quickly put her finger on her pistol's trigger and shoot; the length interfered with her ability to perform her duties. Revealing mistake: The rhino that killed (or "erased") Paul was obviously CGI and quite fake-looking, especially the way it was running. (01:32:50)

Continuity mistake: After Slahi signs the contract, the McDonald's bag logo is facing toward the right of the screen but was facing the opposite direction up to that point. (00:22:17)

Benched (2018)

Continuity mistake: Don's baseball cap is in front of him with the letter "P" against the table and the cap propped up with the visor (tip on the table). The cap can be seen shaking slightly from the men at the meeting bumping the table, but the cap does not fall over. After a camera shift, the cap appears to be flat on the table (in a position like it would be worn). (00:07:35)

Benched (2018)

Continuity mistake: The amount of beer in the pitcher INCREASES after Don pours some into his glass. Before he poured, the pitcher was about one-third full. A front view of Don seconds later shows the pitcher about half-full. When Don gets up to leave, the level of beer in the pitcher is down to about one-fourth full (near the lower part of the handle). Benched (2018)

Continuity mistake: After Don poured beer into his glass, the level of beer remaining in the pitcher was about one-fourth (near the lower part of the handle). Don's glass of beer was about half-full when he went to meet Mike. When Don and Mike got back to the table, the pitcher of beer was closer to half-full (near the center of the handle) and his glass of beer was down to about one-fourth. (00:00:12 - 00:01:12)

Benched (2018)

Continuity mistake: The position of Don's baseball cap on the table changes two times. Initially, the cap is near the corner of the table with the visor and letter "P" roughly parallel to the front of his body. After he pours beer into his glass, the visor is angled more toward the corner of the table (even though the camera appears to pan around it). When Don brings Mike back to the table, the cap visor is pointed toward Don and is at a differently angle (more parallel to the front of his body again). (00:00:09 - 00:01:47)

The Mauritanian (2021)

Stupidity: While awaiting their flight home, Nancy told Teri, "Think I miscalculated the tea. I'm not gonna last three-and-a-half hours [on the non-stop flight with no restroom facility]." Nancy then went into the gift shop where Stuart Couch introduced himself, asked if he could get her a drink, and bought her a bottle of beer. Nancy drank at least some of the beer on screen, even though she was already concerned about drinking tea before her flight. (00:59:28 - 01:00:30)

The Mauritanian (2021)

Trivia: The outdoor sign on the Guantanamo Bay fence stating "DO NOT HARM THE IGUANAS PENALTY $10,000" is not a joke! The U.S. implemented the "Endangered Species Act" at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba because the Act also applies to species abroad and because the U.S. leases the land (for about $4,000 per year). Ironically, detainees at Guantanamo Bay who started arriving there in 2002 were not afforded U.S. due process protections, giving iguanas more protection than the people detained there. (00:38:05)

The Mauritanian (2021)

Trivia: Having a writ of habeas corpus filed may offer someone allegedly unlawfully detained hope for getting released, but only a small percentage (around 3%) of the petitions filed are granted and, if granted, it means the person's case will be reviewed; the detainee is NOT very likely to actually be released from confinement.

The Mauritanian (2021)

Trivia: Critics assert a writ of habeas corpus no longer functions to protect people against unlawful detention. Instead, it enables the government to ignore Constitutional rights and engage in unlawful detention of certain people indefinitely - that is, at least until a writ of habeas corpus is actually filed and granted for review. This is similar to the view that the 4th Amendment does not protect against unreasonable searches and seizures - police can violate but not use anything seized in court.

The Mauritanian (2021)

Trivia: The "writ of habeas corpus" used to be referred to as the "Great Writ." Despite its potential value of protecting against unlawful detention and indefinite confinement without due process of law, it has actually been suspended four times since ratified and detainees at Guantanamo Bay were not originally eligible to file a writ of habeas corpus because of where they were confined (i.e, in Cuba, not the United States).

The Mauritanian (2021)

Trivia: Translations for the Latin HABEAS CORPUS include "show me the body", "you have the body", "you should have the body", "produce the body", and "you shall have the body." The "body" in question refers to a person being held in detention or confinement and "show the body" refers to the judge/court being requested (petitioned) to bring the person to court to ascertain/assess the legality of the person's deprivation of liberty. No person should be deprived of liberty without "due process of law."
