Character mistake: Danny told Vincent, "Lab just came back on the pills. Donepezil. Alzheimer's drug. Your shooter's losing his shit." It was too early in the investigation to conclude that the drug belonged to "the shooter." There could have been a witness who ran, an accomplice, or even just a coincidence that someone not involved had dropped his pills. It would be up to the investigators to determine if the prescription bottle belonged to a suspect or "person of interest." (00:55:27)

Continuity mistake: Man #1 slid the box of pastries across the table to Slahi, running the box almost along and parallel to the seam in the table. When the camera shifted to Slahi, the box of pastries was further away from the table seam and at an angle. Continuity mistake: When the man slides the box of pastries toward Slahi, the lock on the table is within about 3" to the middle of the box. When the camera shifts toward Slahi, the lock is at least twice as far away from the box and at a different angle. Other mistake: Visser was face-to-face with Omar when she shot him in the neck (looked more like it would be in his mouth before the camera shift) yet she did not get any blood splatter on her shooting hand, face, or clothes. Stupidity: After an explosion blew through a door which knocked him over, Manson was able to get up and continue walking from room to room searching. When Manson got into the kitchen, he could at least somewhat see that the inside of the microwave was lit up and could hear a crackling sound, but he continued walking toward the microwave until it exploded. Stupidity: As soon as Bundy got into the building (instead of when he was still outside), Kaminsky asked him for a "camera check." Bundy had a yellow button with a big star in the center pinned to his jacket's right lapel. Bundy put some fingers next to the button and raised his lapel with the others, making it obvious he was wearing a camera. When Manson got into the lobby (area likely to be under video surveillance), Reese (who saw Bundy and Manson outside) came into the building to give them weapons. (00:03:50)

After a camera shift, the marshmallow was sticking up near the right top of the man's head, was shaped like a whole marshmallow, and was still largely white instead of mostly black/charred. Deliberate mistake: While roasting marshmallows, Henry's marshmallow caught on fire with the flame shooting about 6", then a foot+ high. A marshmallow subjected to such intense heat/flame for many seconds would not be stuck to the stick and stay stuck with repeated forceful flicking or "whipping" of the stick like Henry did. When the marshmallow finally flew off the stick and landed on a camper's head (higher than would be expected), it would be small/hard/charred, not large and still soft/white in the middle. Revealing mistake: The paper towel holder is in front of Mr. Truett when he joins his son at the diner table. After Zach leaves, Mr. Truett moves the tray off the table and (off-screen) probably moves the paper towel holder to his left where Zach was sitting. However, some shots show the paper towel holder too close to Dave (which would be near the middle of the table) while other shots show it at the edge of the table (in front of Zach's empty chair). Continuity mistake: At the diner, Zach moved his drink from the tray and set it on the table to the right of his plate and right arm. When his dad sat at the table, Zach's drink was to the left of his plate and left arm. Also, Zach was playing with a plastic fork with both hands and was turned to his right while talking to his dad, but his drink was suddenly between his arms after a camera shift. Revealing mistake: The tapered half of the baseball bat was leaning against the coffee table at about a 60° angle, but after Dave said, "The bat?" the camera showed it sticking straight up from (perpendicular to) the floor. Dave's lower body is then shown walking past the bat (which reaches to his waist) and stopping, at which point the bat fades into his leg until it is almost invisible. The next view of the bat shows it leaning against the coffee table again, but the coffee table is closer to the couch. (00:09:08)

Continuity mistake: Barney, Jim, and Angus enter a hallway that has a few lamps setting atop dresser drawers or tables. There are two lamps closest to the door; Angus stops after the first two lamps. When the camera shifts to a close-up, the hallway wall behind the lamp is no longer straight. Instead, there is an indentation (short wall) behind the lamp and the first lamp is not visible. Also, Angus becomes taller than the lamp in the close-up. (00:40:27)

Factual error: Fire extinguishers should be prominently displayed with no obstructions around them. The fire extinguisher was attached to a wall between the door and window, but it was partially obstructed or concealed by (artificial?) tree leaves. It also looked like the tree and plants might have been on a table that sets below the fire extinguisher, which could block the approach (wasting valuable seconds). (00:39:25)

Other mistake: The on-line "Ventura Space Competition Entry Form" asked for the applicant's "full name", but did not have a space for "middle name." The format of the questionnaire was also inconsistent. There were forced-choice (yes or no) health-related questions and age groups (21-30, 31-50, and 51-65) but they were unequal (9, 19, and 14 years, respectively); the age groups should have been consistent, such as a span of 14 years per group (21-35, 36-50, 51-65). "Are you in good health?" was open-ended. (00:21:55)

Continuity mistake: Nancy placed her sunglasses on the table when she was talking to Slahi and had her glasses hanging from the V-neck of her blouse. She picked up her sunglasses and put them on when she got outside but her glasses were not hanging from her V-neck. Continuity mistake: The strand of Nancy's hair shaped like a semi-circle on the left side running the length of her forehead that shows almost the entire time she is talking to Slahi is not there when the camera shifts to a rear view, but is there when the camera returns to a front view. Continuity mistake: After Slahi smelled and set the McDonald's bag on the table, its position changed a few times. At first, the bag was at arm's length away from him with the corner almost touching Teri's legal pad. Next, a rear view of Slahi's head showed the bag at an angle to the legal pad and closer to the pad's upper right-hand corner. Seconds later, the bag was away from the legal pad, in the corner of the table near Slahi's right elbow. In the next view, the bag was near its original location. (00:18:20 - 00:20:22)
