Plot hole: When Nezbitt starts attacking Kaiba, Kaiba throws a duelling card at Nezbitt. However, Kaiba shouldn't have a deck of cards on him at this point, as the rules of the virtual world only grant him a duelling deck when he duels someone, which he doesn't do until later in the episode. Revealing mistake: Just before the duel, there is a shot of Tristan saying "In his dreams," followed by Devlin saying "Let's do this." In this shot, the dice earring that Devlin has has a singular dot on the number one side that is coloured red. Then, within the same shot, an animation error occurs where the dot suddenly gets smaller when he turns to face Tristan. (00:05:25)

Continuity mistake: Just after Joey summons Swordsman of Landstar, there is a close-up of the cards in his hand, where he takes the Graceful Dice card so that he can activate it. In his hand, there are two other cards. On the left is a trap card and on the right is a spell card. In the following shot, when he activates the Graceful Dice card, the two other cards in his hand can be seen, but now the spell card is on the left and the trap card is on the right. (00:04:50)

Continuity mistake: When Johnson tells Joey that he is giving up 1000 of his own life points, there is a Mystical Elf monster card on his duel disk. The monster card is placed in the second slot on the duel disk. Later, just after Yugi and Tea run into the courtroom, in the shot of Johnson saying "I believe it's my move," the monster card has moved to the third slot on the duel disk. Continuity mistake: When Tea thinks to herself, "I'm down to my last few life points, and my Dark Magician Girl isn't strong enough to get past his defense," her right hand is rotated at a horizontal angle, with her palm facing towards her. Character mistake: Yugi runs up to a door that includes a four-star monster and is also shown to have been equipped with five face-down cards. After Yugi realises he only has a few cards left, Pharaoh tells him, "Defeating a four-star monster plus four face-down cards is no easy task," but it was established that the door has five face-down cards, not four. Pharaoh even mentioned this a few seconds ago when Yugi first approached the door. (00:12:33)

Continuity mistake: Whilst Crump says "and my hand continues to become more powerful", in the shot of him drawing a card with his right flipper, his left flipper (which he is holding his cards in) appears to be hidden from view. Continuity mistake: When Tea climbs to the top of the broken bridge, in the shot of her climbing back onto land, we can see that the bridge is held up by two wooden posts with rope tied around it. The rope is tied around the top, middle and bottom areas of the post. Later, when Tea begins to follow the penguin, the rope tied around the left post has changed position, now being tied at different areas of the post. (00:02:19 - 00:03:48)

Continuity mistake: When Obnoxious Celtic Guardian's attack is deflected back onto Yugi, there is a shot where there are no monster cards visible on Yugi's duel disk, even though at this point, Obnoxious Celtic Guardian and Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast are still on his field. Revealing mistake: When younger, Kaiba and Mokuba are playing chess. There is a shot of them resetting the pieces on the chessboard to their original position so that they can play again. In the shot, the chess pieces are incredibly tiny and do not resemble real ones. (00:06:43)
