Continuity mistake: When Bonaparte yells at Aster, Jaden tells him to chill out. At this moment, Bonaparte is looking straight forward at Aster. In the next shot, he is suddenly looking toward the left at Jaden. (00:07:48)

Stupidity: Wheeler gives Jaden a bunch of bananas and then eats two of them. Once he has finished eating them, he walks away and leaves the remaining bananas on the ground. At this point, Jaden is extremely hungry, having not eaten in days and has no idea how long it will take to get Back to Duel Academy, but he leaves behind the only available food to eat. (00:20:15)

Continuity mistake: When Wheeler hands Jaden the bucket of water after choking on the bananas, there are a few other bananas on the ground, positioned next to Wheeler's left foot. When Jaden hands back the bucket of water, the bananas are now positioned in between Wheeler's left and right feet. Then when the shot cuts again, the bananas are now positioned next to Wheeler's left foot. (00:20:07)

Continuity mistake: After the chef's identity has been revealed and everyone wonders who he is, Bastion says, "He looks familiar" and places his hand on the side of his head. When the shot cuts, his hand is over his eye. (00:09:22)

Other mistake: When the images in Jaden's cards begin to reappear, one of the cards in his hand is Fusion Sage. Later, when he uses Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin's effect, he is discarding Fusion Sage from his hand to the graveyard. That same turn, he uses Aqua Dolphin's effect again, and to do so, he discards another card from his hand. However, Fusion Sage is getting discarded even though it was already discarded earlier that turn and he didn't have any other Fusion Sage cards in his hand. (00:16:48 - 00:17:22)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden thinks he is in Dolphin Heaven, Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin says "No, but not a bad guess" and raises his right hand out of the water. When the shot cuts, his right hand is suddenly back in the water again. (00:06:30)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden first meets Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin, in the shot of Jaden saying he's in Dolphin Heaven, only Aqua Dolphin's head is visible above the water. In the next shot, his shoulders are suddenly above the water as well. (00:06:27)

Stupidity: When Sartorius first introduces himself to Chazz, he says, "You have a gift, Mr Princeton", to which Chazz asks "How do you know my name" in complete surprise. Even if Chazz is unaware of Sartorius' powers at this point, the Princeton family are very famous and wealthy, and his duel with Jaden was even broadcast live, so it wouldn't be unreasonable for someone to know who he is. Other mistake: When Syrus visits Jaden in the hospital wing, Chazz hands him Jaden's deck, telling him he can't see his cards. Decks are usually said to have 40 cards, but when Syrus spreads the deck of cards apart, there only appear to be about seven cards in his hand, and nowhere near the full deck of cards that was just handed to him. Continuity mistake: When Jaden throws the Power Bond card back to Syrus after he is promoted to Ra Yellow, in the shot of Jaden taking the card out of his pocket, the card is upside down. He then throws the card and it remains in the upside down position when it is thrown. When Syrus catches it, the card is right-side up. (00:18:58)

Continuity mistake: When Aster draws the "bad card" from his deck, the card is at an upright angle. The next shot, when Jaden tells him he might want to work on that poker face, the card never changes position. When it cuts back to Aster, the card is suddenly held at a rotated angle. (00:11:14)

Continuity mistake: On Jaden's first turn, there are five cards in his left hand. In the close-up shot, Elemental Hero Sparkman is the fifth card on the right-hand side. Jaden then picks up the third card from the middle, which is then revealed to be Sparkman, even though it was on the end of the row in the previous shot. (00:05:09)

Continuity mistake: When the crime bosses meet up at the casino, in the exterior shot, there are a few items on the desk including a bottle, an ash tray, a plate with a slice of pizza and a newspaper.
