Continuity mistake: There is a shot of the beans in Jack's hand when the monk gives them to him. There are a total of 8 beans. Later, one of the beans goes under the floorboards of Jack's house and that turns into a beanstalk, bringing the bean count down to 7. After climbing the beanstalk, Roderick forces Jack to give him the beans. Jack keeps one of the beans bringing the bean count down to 6. No more beans are used after this until the giants use the beans as a way down to Earth. But when the lead giant takes the beans out of the bag, there are now only 5 beans.

Continuity mistake: When we find out Mel is in the helicopter, there is a shot of the villain. Judging by the distance between the villain and the roof, the helicopter is at least 10 feet off the ground. Yet when Mel knocks the villain off the ladder, he falls at least 25 feet. Maybe more. Other mistake: Geoff paraglides into the wedding accidentally hitting Mel. Mel then flies onto the sand and is knocked out. But when everyone gets out of their seat and runs up to him, there is a long trail of sand coming from Mel's feet that could only have been made if he were dragged. He didn't get dragged, he just got kicked and flew into the air, then fell on the ground. (00:18:45)
