Continuity mistake: When Dylan and Alma go to interrogate Daniel, the first shot of Daniel shows him playing with some cards. On the desk is the card box the cards go in. In the next shot, the card box is suddenly in his hand and the cards are suddenly back in the box. Theatrical version only.
Continuity mistake: In the very first shot of Dylan, he is shown walking out of a casino with a guy. As his phone rings, he says to the man "Hold up here" and he stands still. In the next shot, 360 degree panning shot around Dylan is shown and the guy has suddenly vanished.(00:23:30)
Audio problem: When the four Horsemen find the blueprints in the abandoned apartment, there is one shot panning around. During this shot, Henley says "It's a show", but her lips read something totally different.(00:14:20)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt says to the cheating husband "And if you even see or even think of Janet, you're gonna picture me, naked", there are a few strands of hair along his fringe. Merritt then wakes up the husband's wife and the few strands of hair along his fringe have decreased.(00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: Merritt begins to do a mental trick on a husband. As he says "I'm picturing, don't tell me", his right arm is raised. In the next shot, that same arm is suddenly lowered.(00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: When the woman in blue is crushed by the huge heart, Marge, Lisa and Poochie go from standing a feet away from the corner of road to standing right on the street's corner.
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: When the ending clip starts, Marge's position on the tiles she is standing on differs between shots. The tiles change size too.
Audio problem: Grand Theft Scratchy: As Marge apologises to Poochie, she says "Sorry, Poochie. But even you aren't extreme enough to resist the power of a stay at home mom with too much time in her hands." Lisa then replies "Yeah!" If you look closely, you can see Lisa says "Yeah" before her lips even move.
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: Note the background behind Marge, Lisa and Poochie at the start of the ending cut scene. You'll see there are no cracks on the floor between the barriers and the concrete wall a few meters behind them. In the next shot, as Marge says "Sorry, Poochie" to Poochie, a crack on the ground has suddenly appeared between the barrier and the concrete wall.
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: The woman in blue gets crushed by the huge heart fixed onto the sweet store. This heart was never visible during the wide shot at the start of the cut scene.
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: Before the cat pimps begin to charge at Marge, Lisa and the mob, they get rid of the barriers in order to charge at them. Yet as soon as the cut scene begins, the barriers have reappeared.
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: The ending cut scene starts with a far away shot where Poochie's head is fully raised. As Marge says "Sorry, Poochie" in the next shot, his head is suddenly lowered.
Continuity mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: Marge, Lisa and the mob need to destroy two vans, then rebuild two ice-cream trucks and rebuild a sweet store. Behind all of this is a barrier. As soon as the cut scene starts, Marge and Lisa (without the mob) are standing next to the sweet store walking by and notice Poochie and the barriers aren't there anymore. Then as the cut scene ends and it cuts back to gameplay, the mob has reappeared next to Marge and Lisa and the barriers behind the trucks are back. Although the barriers were never visible during the cut scene, the game play part of the level shown barriers completely covering anything behind the two trucks, so Marge and Lisa still wouldn't have been able to see Poochie.
Other mistake: Grand Theft Scratchy: Two shots after Marge says "I just don't understand why Bart would want to play this game" shows three cats in a car pulling up to shoot three mice walking on the street. The cats take out their guns, aim straight at the mice and start shooting at them. The shot then cuts to the mice, completely unharmed and start shooting the cats. Before the shot cut to the mice, the cats were shooting their guns for a full 1-2 seconds. If the cats had their guns aimed directly at the cats and started shooting, even for this short amount of time, the mice would already be dead even before they could take their guns out.
Suggested correction:This is a game within a game, based on The Simpsons' Itchy and Scratchy Show. The violence is supposed to be cartoonishly nonsensical.
Continuity mistake: When Ripley runs back into the control room to abort the self-destruct, one shot shows the timer reading 5 minutes. The shot then cuts to Ripley pulling a lever back to where it originally was and yells out "Mother, I've turned the cooling unit back on! Mother!" The shot then cuts back to the timer where it can be seen it has only gone down by 2-3 seconds, but all of what just happened took longer than that.(01:38:40)
Revealing mistake: As Ripley, Lambert and Parker leave the room after decapitating Ash, Parker turns around and incinerates Ash's body. As soon as the shot starts, if you look carefully just before the flame actually touches Ash, you can see Ash's head (mostly the skin below his neck) has already melted before the flame, or even the heat for that matter, touches him. The flamethrower had only been set off a split second before the fire reached Ash and by that point the head has already began melting, so the heat made from the fire could not have melted his head that quickly.
Continuity mistake: After Ash is decapitated, Ripley says they are going to blow up the ship. In the shot where Parker looks back, Ash's head is slanted to the side. The shot cuts back to Parker where he turns on the flamethrower and incinerates Ash, whose head is suddenly flat on the table.(01:25:40)
