In the background, there is a wall that is a light teal colour to the left of the shot and another wall further back that is a dark teal colour. Continuity mistake: When Johnny summons Water Omotics, it is shown to have 1400 attack points and 1200 defence points, as shown by the point display that appears after the monster is summoned. On Johnny's next turn, in the shot of him placing the Spirit of the Harp monster card on the duel mat, the Water Omotics card can be seen, and it now has 1200 attack points and 1400 defence points. Continuity mistake: When Tea asks "What's up with him?" after Yugi walks away without hearing her, a TV broadcast behind her shows Ishtar at a press conference. Then it cuts to a shot focusing on the TV, and the microphones in front of Ishtar have changed design between shots. (00:02:21)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba sees in the past with the Millennium Necklace, the shot from above shows Kaiba hunched forward. In the next shot, he is standing upright. (00:10:34)
Revealing mistake: When Tea is standing in front of the TVs broadcasting Ishtar's press conference, there is a TV to the right of the shot where Ishtar's eyes are animated smaller compared to the TV to the left of the shot where the exact same image is broadcast. (00:02:21)
Revealing mistake: When Ishtar is telling everyone about the premiere of the Egyptian exhibit on the news, a shot of a shipping container behind Lifted is shown on the broadcast. Two of the cables that are shown along the side of the container do not appear to align with the rest of the cable that is shown over the top of the container. It looks like they were animated at different times, but were not properly merged into one another. (00:02:52)

Continuity mistake: When Yugi is handing the Millennium Puzzle to the mysterious man, in the close-up shot of the puzzle being passed over, the chain is positioned towards the front side of the puzzle. When the shot cuts, the chain is on the back side of the puzzle. (00:03:36)

Continuity mistake: When Yugi raises his Summoned Skull card, right before the close-up shot, he has two fingers pressed against the back of it. A couple of seconds later, he only has one finger pressed against it. (00:15:09)

Continuity mistake: Just after Keith destroys the Millennium Puzzle, it breaks into numerous pieces and there is only one piece of the puzzle that remains attached to the chain. Seconds later, when Bakura swings in and pushes Keith away, the puzzle is more intact than it was seconds earlier. (00:10:20)

Continuity mistake: When Joey and Tristan are trying to break the door down, there are two locks on the door: one above the door handle and one below the door handle. Later in the scene, when Joey and Tristan are about to break down the door, there is only one lock on the door. (00:15:32 - 00:15:55)
Continuity mistake: When Tea sees Yugi on the other side of the street, she says, "Yugi, wait up," and raises her right arm. When the shot cuts, her right arm is lowered. (00:02:16)
