Continuity mistake: In the Egyptian vision, after the two dragons unite, the duelist is holding onto his staff, which is pointed upwards. In the next shot, when the duelist says "attack," the staff is pointed straight forwards. (00:12:51)
Continuity mistake: When Ishtar tells Kaiba that the hieroglyphics have worn away, Kaiba says, "I see," with a calm expression on his face. In the next shot, when we see their reflection in the glass case, Kaiba now has a shocked expression on his face. (00:12:17)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba sees in the past with the Millennium Necklace, the shot from above shows Kaiba hunched forward. In the next shot, he is standing upright. (00:10:34)
Continuity mistake: When Ishtar tells Kaiba to closely examine the tablet, the two are standing a small distance from each other. A couple of seconds later, just after Kaiba realises the Dark Magician is carved into the tablet, he and Ishtar are much further apart. (00:08:53)
Continuity mistake: When Ishtar is telling Kaiba about the Egyptian tablet depicting Pharaoh and his greatest opponent, he walks over to her and turns to face the tablet. When the shot cuts, he is looking at Ishtar. (00:08:49)
Revealing mistake: When Kaiba walks over to the Egyptian tablet that Ishtar is talking about, there is a shot of him walking over to her, but once he reaches her, there is a brief moment of him continuing to walk on the spot, without moving forwards, before turning to face the tablet. Almost as if the animation cycle was looped accidentally. (00:08:45)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi is sitting on his bed with the Millennium Puzzle, in the first shot, there is a fair distance between his feet and the puzzle. When the shot cuts, the puzzle is closer to his feet. (00:06:12)
Revealing mistake: When Ishtar is telling everyone about the premiere of the Egyptian exhibit on the news, a shot of a shipping container behind Lifted is shown on the broadcast. Two of the cables that are shown along the side of the container do not appear to align with the rest of the cable that is shown over the top of the container. It looks like they were animated at different times, but were not properly merged into one another. (00:02:52)
Revealing mistake: When Tea is standing in front of the TVs broadcasting Ishtar's press conference, there is a TV to the right of the shot where Ishtar's eyes are animated smaller compared to the TV to the left of the shot where the exact same image is broadcast. (00:02:21)
Continuity mistake: When Tea asks "What's up with him?" after Yugi walks away without hearing her, a TV broadcast behind her shows Ishtar at a press conference. Then it cuts to a shot focusing on the TV, and the microphones in front of Ishtar have changed design between shots. (00:02:21)
Continuity mistake: When Tea sees Yugi on the other side of the street, she says, "Yugi, wait up," and raises her right arm. When the shot cuts, her right arm is lowered. (00:02:16)
