A Duel with Dartz: Part 1 - S4-E33

Stupidity: Devlin stops driving the truck and caravan when he sees monsters standing in the road, prompting Rebecca to get out and put on her duel disk to deal with them. There was enough space around the monsters where they could have easily driven around them, but they act as if they are cornered. (00:05:20)

Fighting for a Friend: Part 2 - S4-E26

Stupidity: At the start of the episode, Yugi, Tea, Tristan, Kaiba, Mokuba, Devlin and Rebecca are surrounded by monsters. The monsters are standing in front of them and to the side of them. They are unsure what to do as they close in, but none of them ever thinks to get back inside the truck and caravan and attempt to drive away. (00:01:45)

On the Wrong Track: Part 3 - S4-E18

Stupidity: Joey summons Gearfried the Iron Knight from his hand. Then he activates Pot of Greed, which allows him to draw two cards from his deck. Duelists can only summon one monster per turn, and Joey had no idea whether the cards he drew after activating Pot of Greed would be more or less useful than his Iron Knight monster. It may have been a smarter move to activate Pot of Greed first, then summon his monster. That way, he wouldn't regret missing an opportunity to summon a potentially better monster. (00:06:45)

An Unexpected Enemy - S4-E7

Stupidity: Just after the gas station explodes, Joey thinks to himself, "Oh no, Mai," thinking that she was caught up in the explosion. However, at the time of the explosion, Mai was driving away on a motorbike and was nowhere near the gas station, so he had no reason to think she was affected by the explosion. (00:06:07)

Awakening of Evil: Part 2 - S2-E38

Stupidity: When Odion activates Swords of Revealing Light (preventing Joey from attacking for three turns), Joey switches all of his monsters to defence mode. There was no real benefit to this as Odion had no monsters on his side of the field and Jinzo was less powerful in defence mode, having only 1500 defence points, compared to 2400 attack points.

Let the Finals Begin! - S2-E32

Stupidity: Kaiba boards the blimp and tells his aides to begin take-off immediately because "the Egyptian God cards are already on board" despite only seven out of eight duelists being on board (before Ishizu arrives at the last second). However, this contradicts how the duels are set up. The finals are played with each of the eight duelists facing off against each other in four separate two-player duels. If one of the players was not included, this would have messed up the Battle City finals completely. (00:09:17)

Legendary Fisherman: Part 1 - S2-E19

Stupidity: When Kaiba attacks the hunters with Obelisk the Tormentor and destroys their two face-down monsters, the tall hunter activates his face-down card Mirror Force, a trap card that can destroy any attack position monster on the opponent's side of the field during an attack (before finding out the trap card won't work with this monster). Technically, the hunter could've activated this card before their two face-down monster cards were destroyed instead of after. (00:06:17)

Casual Person

Legendary Heroes: Part 2 - S1-E44

Stupidity: Joey uses his trap card, Trap Hole, to open a hole in the ground and cause the bad guys to fall into it. A group of other bad guys stops running once they see the hole, but they could have easily run around the hole and continued chasing the main characters. (00:04:55)

Winning Through Intimidation - S1-E15

Stupidity: Yugi summons Gaia the Fierce Knight to the field from his hand. He then uses Polymerization to fuse Gaia the Fierce Knight and Curse of Dragon together to summon the Fusion monster Gaia the Dragon Champion. There was no real reason for him to summon Gaia the Fierce Knight to the field if he was going to use Polymerization on it, as Polymerization allows the player to fuse monsters that are present in both the player's hand and field.
