Revealing mistake: Whilst discussing Marik with Ishizu, there is a wide shot of the bedroom where Joey says, "What if it's too late to save Marik from the evil that's inside of him?" In this shot, there is an animation error with Serenity's head. Serenity has her head turned to face Ishizu, but the turned head appears to have been poorly pasted over another version of Serenity's head that is facing directly forwards. (00:04:44)

Character mistake: Yugi mistakenly says if he doesn't get a monster out to defend himself Mai can attack him directly, which wouldn't be possible since the rules of Duel Monsters during the Duelist Kingdom arc forbade direct attacks on defenseless opponents. That rule wouldn't be implemented until the Battle City arc.

Continuity mistake: When the Pharaoh gives Seto the Millennium Puzzle, just as he says, "Please preserve my father's dream and maintain peace in Egypt," he raises the puzzle, and the hand that he is holding it with is rotated at an angle. But in the next shot, his hand is upright. (00:19:50)
Sinister Secrets: Part 1 - S5-E12
Revealing mistake: After Little Red Riding Hood has been summoned to the field, there is a shot with Little Red Riding Hood in the foreground of the shot, while the other characters talk on the balcony in the background of the shot. During the shot, Rebecca is leaning her head over the edge of the balcony and starts talking. The other characters turn their heads to face her, but their heads appear to be facing the area behind where she is standing and not looking in her direction. (00:09:32)

Continuity mistake: When the Pharaoh tells Obelisk the Tormentor to attack Zorc, he extends his right arm forwards and extends his left arm backwards. But in the next shot, his arms are lowered. (00:09:25)

Continuity mistake: When Kaiba is on the rooftop of a building, he runs up to the edge and looks directly downwards. But in the next shot, his head is turned to the right so that he can look at Zorc. (00:07:04)

Continuity mistake: When the Pharaoh tells Bakura that he fights for friends and that of the world, he is sitting upright in the chair. When it cuts to a closer shot of him, his abdomen is rotated slightly to the right. (00:20:00)

Continuity mistake: When the main characters finish dragging Bobasa outside, just as Yugi says "Eat up," they are all positioned on the floor tiles. When the shot cuts, they are all positioned on the grass. (00:14:22)

Continuity mistake: When the Pharaoh tells Seto they must retreat and regroup their forces, Seto's left arm is mostly straight. When the shot cuts, his left arm is extended slightly. (00:14:22)

Continuity mistake: When Solomon and the two guides stop at the dead end, Solomon is a short distance away from the other two. Then it cuts to a wide shot where Solomon and the other two are further apart. (00:06:06)
