A rectangular white box appears on the monitor, covering the bottom right corner of the dragon card. Continuity mistake: Marik uses his monster cards Holding Arms and Holding Legs to hold Mai against a wall. When she hits the wall, she drops a trap card that is held in her hand. The card cannot be seen on the ground every other time the area is shown after this. (00:07:38)

Continuity mistake: When Mokuba is working at the computer, he looks at a monitor displaying Kaiba and Ishizu's duel. There is a white box shown at the left and right hand of the screen where the players' life points are displayed. Continuity mistake: When Kaiba wins the duel, he says, "Victory is mine," with his right forearm and wrist raised and his left forearm positioned in front of his body. Then it cuts to a wide shot where his left and right arms are at his side. (00:17:58)

Continuity mistake: When Ishizu is talking about Marik's past, whilst she says "leaving my brother with a dark hole where his heart once was," there is a shot focusing on Yugi, where Tristan can be seen standing right next to him. Continuity mistake: When everyone realises who the real Marik is, the Millennium Rod that Marik is holding has the eye facing towards the main characters and away from Marik. Two shots later, the Millennium Rod has rotated so that the eye is facing towards the ground. (00:16:25)
Revealing mistake: When everyone is standing around Odion's bedside, in the shot of Joey saying "Yeah, I could use a nap too," his left hand is missing. (00:01:46)
Revealing mistake: When tea reaches for Joey's ear, right before she pulls him towards her, her arm is abnormally long. (00:04:22)
Revealing mistake: When Kaiba is explaining why he won't disqualify Marik for using a fake name, in the shot of Kaiba saying "To get rid of the competition, you should be man enough to use your deck and not some technical triviality," Tristan is mistakenly drawn with brown skin. (00:05:32)

Continuity mistake: When Odion is struck by lightning, his right hand is empty. In the next shot, the fake Millennium Rod has suddenly appeared in his right hand. (00:07:28)

Continuity mistake: When Tristan climbs onto the duelling platform to see if Joey is OK, his right hand is ahead of his left hand.
