Into the Hornet's Nest - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When Pegasus is welcoming everyone to the tournament, Yugi looks at his deck. In the shot of him raising the deck, the bottom side of the cards is facing the palm of his hand. But in a close-up of the cards, the bottom side of the cards is facing away from the palm of his hand. (00:05:44)
The Ultimate Great Moth - S1-E5
Continuity mistake: When Tea says, "Well, Mai, from the look on Yugi's face, I'd say having friends just did help him out. So there," her hands are level with her chest. When the shot cuts, her hands are raised and next to her ears while she sticks her tongue out at Mia. (00:10:05)
The Heart of the Cards - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When the KaibaCorp thugs walk into the card shop, there is a close-up of Solomon where we can see his face is half-covered in sunlight. Then it cuts to the head thug speaking to him, but when it cuts to Solomon saying "and if I were to decline," he is entirely shadowed. (00:06:10)
The Heart of the Cards - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba holds up the Blue Eyes White Dragon card he took from Solomon, in the shot of him raising the card, he has two fingers pressed against the front side of it. In a close-up of the card, he is holding it with three fingers, and the fingers are at a different angle. (00:07:46)
The Heart of the Cards - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba summons his first Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the field, Joey says, "Impossible. We all watched Kaiba tear that card in half." At this moment, his arms are straight. When the shot cuts, his arms are bent. (00:13:37)
The Heart of the Cards - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: When Yugi and Joey are duelling at the start, in the shot of Tristan approaching Joey, the cards that Yugi is holding appear to be drawn incorrectly. The cards don't have the text or illustrations that are usually shown on them. (00:01:46)
The Heart of the Cards - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: When Kaiba shows Solomon the briefcase full of cards, there is one card with 1600 attack points and 1800 defence points. The defence points of the card appear to be a lot lighter than the card's attack points, as well as the attack and defence points of the other cards. (00:04:52)
