Continuity mistake: When the two prison guards discover that there is metal inside Ricky's chest, they begin pushing him over to the X-ray machine. The guard holding a baton is shown pushing the bottom of the baton against Ricky's upper back, but in the next shot, he's suddenly pressing the entirety of the baton against Ricky's back. (00:05:39)

Continuity mistake: When the crime bosses meet up at the casino, in the exterior shot, there are a few items on the desk including a bottle, an ash tray, a plate with a slice of pizza and a newspaper. Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, in the shot where Amnael says "Is that so? But what if you do not possess what it takes Jaden", there are five cards in his hand. The card positioned second to Amnael's right is placed beneath the other four cards. A couple seconds later, after activating Chaos Distil, whilst he is explaining the card's effect, the card positioned second to his right is now placed over the card to the right of it. Continuity mistake: After Professor Crowler's science experiment goes wrong, he starts shouting and it cuts to a shot of the students laughing. In this shot, Alexis and two other Obelisk Blue students can be seen behind Jaden, Syrus and Chumley laughing. Then it cuts to a shot focusing on Jaden and Syrus, and Alexis and the other students behind them have disappeared. (00:03:39)
