Continuity mistake: Just after Ricky has broken the assistant warden's desk and dodged a bullet fired at him, there is a shot of Ricky wiping off a small amount of blood on his face, tasting it, then clenches his fists and advances on the assistant warden. Here we can see a small droplet of blood on his stomach. But in the next shot, when he stops charging toward in the assistant warden, the blood on his stomach has vanished. (00:27:00)

Revealing mistake: Uncle Ghost sets a headstone in front of Ricky and tells him to break it with his energy. He breaks a small corner on the headstone with his hand to demonstrate, however it can be noticed that there are visible cut marks on the corner that he breaks off before doing so, revealing that the corner had already been cut off and reapplied to make it easier for Uncle Ghost to chop it off. Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, in the shot where Amnael says "Is that so? But what if you do not possess what it takes Jaden", there are five cards in his hand. The card positioned second to Amnael's right is placed beneath the other four cards. A couple seconds later, after activating Chaos Distil, whilst he is explaining the card's effect, the card positioned second to his right is now placed over the card to the right of it.
