The fuse for the dynamite near the middle of the idol is significantly shorter than the fuses for the others. Despite this, it still takes the exact same amount of time for all three to burn down. Continuity mistake: At the start, keep an eye on the tape strips over Carreidas' mouth. There is a vertical piece of tape directly over Carreidas' mouth, followed by another piece of tape from the top of his right cheek down to the bottom of his left cheek positioned at a sideways angle, followed by another piece of tape from the top of his left cheek down to the bottom of his right cheek also at a sideways angle. All three strips of tape are meeting with each other at a midway point by his mouth. However, when Haddock says "Come on" to Carreidas and Krollspell when they are under fire later on, the tape strips positioned sideways now meet each other at around Carreidas' left cheek area, further away from his mouth. Character mistake: When Rastapopoulos and Carreidas are arguing, Haddock intervenes telling them to cut it out. Rastapopoulos and Carreidas attempt to kick each other but end up kicking Haddock's leg. The kick is shown to have hit Haddock around the back of his leg, but Haddock then grabs his knee in pain. Continuity mistake: Captain Haddock places three strips of tape over Rastapopoulos', Carreidas' and Krollspell's mouths. The last piece of tape over Rastapopoulos' mouth is a strip that goes from the top of his left cheek down to the bottom of his right cheek. A few seconds later, as they leave the room and go outside, it goes from the top of his right cheek down to the bottom of his left cheek. (00:20:35)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin and the others are locked in the room, Tintin looks out the window, assuming he thought he heard Snowy. On the left hand side of the window is a plant. A few minutes later, Snowy arrives and the plant is still there, but when Tintin throws Snowy out the window telling him to wait, the plant has vanished. (00:13:55 - 00:16:20)

Continuity mistake: After Snowy runs away, two gunmen grab ahold of Tintin, restraining him. As Tintin is yelling "Cowards! Murderers!", the gunman on the left is holding Tintin's upper arm with his right hand. The shot cuts to a closer angle of Tintin and there is no sign of the gunman's right hand. (00:11:00)

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Carreidas and Mr. Spaulding walk over to Tintin, Haddock and Skut, in the shot where Skut says "Mr. Carreidas, these are my friends", the money that Haddock previously placed into Carreidas' hat is sticking out of it and a portion of the note is tucked into Carreidas' hat. In the next shot, only the top right corner is tucked into into Carreidas' hat. (00:03:15)

Continuity mistake: When the Falcon is being pursued by the Star Destroyers after escaping Hoth, C-3PO enters the cockpit, attempting to talk with Han, but the ship shakes and he lands on Chewie. After Han says to check the deflector shields, Chewie pushes C-3PO off him, though C-3PO leaves his hand on Chewie's shoulder. In the next shot, C-3PO is suddenly standing at the other end of the cockpit, with his hand nowhere near Chewie. (00:37:10)

Factual error: Lisa the Tree Hugger: After saving Lenny and Carl, Bart aims his slingshot at the target controlling the factory and fires a stone from the slingshot, hitting the target. Once the stone hits the target, debris from the impact can be seen flying off the target showing that it has been destroyed, but as the dust clears, the target is virtually intact.

Continuity mistake: When David Bowie steps forward to Hansel and Derek, he grabs his hands around their shoulders. As the shot changes from Bowie's face to Hansel's, his hand is gone from Hansel's shoulder, but after the shot turns to Derek and then back to the view of the three of them as it was from the beginning, his hand is back. There's a shot of the back of Hansel's neck with no hand, the angle changes to the front again and the hand is back. (00:43:40)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mugatu is talking to Mr. Ballstein, Todd gives Mugatu the phone to talk to Mr. Ballstein. The camera cuts to a shot where you see Mr. Ballstein in the bathroom. In the shot after that, Todd and Mugatu have switched places. (00:22:30)

Continuity mistake: When Mugatu leaves from behind the desk to show Derek the model, the chair Mugatu spins does an extra 180 turn. The chair front is still facing the wall. (00:27:35)

Continuity mistake: When Derek Zoolander is being interviewed by Mugatu for the first time, when Mugatu's assistant brings him his drink and Mugatu spits it out you can see the drink all over the top of his mouth. Then you see him right away after that and it is gone. (00:27:10)

Continuity mistake: When Derrick and Matilda arrive at Hansel's, watch Hansel's turquoise necklace. It goes inside and outside his shirt a couple of times, while talking at the door. (00:54:55)

Continuity mistake: When Matilda is being thrown out of the day spa and Katinka tell's K-mart about her outfit, the door behind her is open. The very next shot of Katinka, the door is shut. (00:32:45)

Factual error: There is one scene towards the end when Matilda is talking to her assistant and two clocks showing the times of Tokyo and Hong Kong are visible on the wall behind. In reality Tokyo is one hour ahead of Hong Kong, but the clock clearly shows Hong Kong as one hour ahead of Tokyo. The Frankfurt clock is also an hour slow, assuming the Chicago clock is the correct one. (01:11:05)

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Greene is telling Norm and Vera about the four houses already being built in the Arctic, he is holding his phone in his hand and the screen is on. When he is doing an impression of the investors, the screen is suddenly off, and two shots after that, the screen is suddenly back on again. (01:00:30)

Continuity mistake: When Norm barges into Mr. Greene's office to confront him about rigging the announcement, Mr. Greene's ball chair is on the rug positioned close to the edge and located near to the centre, but when Norm goes to leave the room about a minute later, the ball chair has moved much nearer to the opposite end of the rug.
