Other mistake: During the first shot of Captain Haddock, there is a shot of his table with cards. You can see there are three of the same card (a red ace) on the table. Even if it's one heart and one diamond there's still an extra.
Other mistake: After the man on the ship tells Tintin that Calculus' punishment is death, he yells for Alonzo, and Tintin then punches him. When the man is punched, it is apparent that Tintin's fist never even enters the frame. There appears to be a flash effect indicating that he had been punched, but Tintin's fist is never shown hitting him.
Other mistake: Haddock is lowering crates onto the moon and looks over to see Thomson and Thompson, whilst they are heard playing around off-screen. In this shot, Haddock's antenna cannot be seen through his helmet, even though the helmet should be transparent.
Other mistake: After the recap from the previous episode, Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are on a boat. Tintin is shown pulling on a rope to attach a sail. The amount of rope shown near the ground is never seen extending. It remains the same length even when Tintin is pulling on it.
Other mistake: Tintin and Haddock discover that part of the ship is on fire and discover a group of people hiding out under the deck. Haddock then lowers a ladder, down below the deck, so that the others can climb out, but even after every single person down below decks climbs out, the fire has not extended or grown further in any way, even after the time spent letting all the people out.
Other mistake: In order for Rastapopoulos to break into the secret passageway, he places chunks of dynamite around the idol, then lights a fuse for each individual chunk of dynamite, all burning at the same time. The fuse for the dynamite near the middle of the idol is significantly shorter than the fuses for the others. Despite this, it still takes the exact same amount of time for all three to burn down.
Other mistake: When Snowy discovers the blue robe, Tintin picks it up. As he kneels down, he is doing the motions of reaching for the ground and picking up the robe, but the robe is significantly further away than where he is reaching down for.
Other mistake: When Tintin and the Emir are talking with the military adviser, the Emir holds a box of cigars and lets the military adviser take one out of the box. The military adviser then takes out one of the cigars from the box, but the amount of cigars in the box remains the same.
Other mistake: When Mueller is at his desk, writing, a fly comes into his view. Just before the fly appears in view of him, he is writing on his paper, but he is just shown writing in the exact same spot and nothing ever appears on the paper.
Other mistake: After Manolo has told Haddock that the windows don't open, Manolo goes to leave and slips on a banana placed in the doorway. The banana's position in the doorway would not be possible. The banana landed on the floor after Haddock fell over the table in the hotel room and spilled the contents of the fruit bowl all of the room and then Manolo entered the room a second later. When Manolo opened the door, he would have pushed anything in front of the door out of the way.
Other mistake: Professor Calculus brings the parts for two shark submarines (he stated in the scene prior he would bring two) to the docks in two separate crates. The crates he uses to hold the submarine parts in would not big enough to hold the entirety of the submarine. The crates shown are only a couple of feet wide and even smaller in height, but the shark submarines shown in the episode are much larger than the overall size of the crate.
Other mistake: A monkey throws a bottle of whiskey from a tree which then lands on Haddock's head. When they show the bottle on Haddock's head, the bottle is shown stuck to his head, but there is nothing there actually making the bottle stick.
Other mistake: When Tintin discovers the scroll under his drawers, he begins reading the French words on the scroll in English. He starts reading out by saying "Three brothers joined." This sentence translated into French would be "Trois freres rejoint." However, this is not what is shown on the scroll. The sentence shown on the scroll appears to be "Trois freres unys."
Other mistake: After discovering the scroll, Tintin begins reading it out. The words on the paper, the words Tintin is saying, and where Tintin's eyes move as he read the paper don't seem to match up. Tintin first says "Three brothers joined", which covers the first half of the line, but the next shot then shows his eyes reading at the very end of the line. Tintin then says "Three unicorns in company sailing in the moon day sun will speak", and his eyes are then reading across the second line, but the start of the sentence is shown on the second half of the first line of the scroll.
Other mistake: Tintin is in the treasure room whilst the Bird brothers are looking for him. After the brother with the gun shoots the knight armour, Tintin is crawling around the room far behind them, and pops his head up where he can see them. About 2-3 seconds later, he is then shown as a mirror reflection the brothers are tricked into thinking is real, nowhere near his previous spot. 4 seconds after that, Tintin is hiding behind a cupboard at the other end of the room, that the brothers just quickly run by.
