The Crab with the Golden Claws: Part 1 - S1-E1

Plot hole: Whilst Allan is searching the decks below for Tintin, a crew member is keeping watch of Captain Haddock in his quarters. Tintin secretly reveals to Haddock that he is hiding underneath his bed, without letting the crew member notice him and Haddock then looks towards him. The crew member was watching Haddock the entire time, so how does he not notice Haddock looking toward Tintin? (00:18:20)

Plot hole: The torn off part of the Crabe Extra wrapper that Tintin discovers from the drowning victim appears completely fine, despite the fact that in the previous scene, Daws, the drowning victim, had scrunched up the wrapper and put in his pocket and was then thrown into the river, whilst the wrapper was still in his pocket. Continuity mistake: Tintin is locked in a room tied up to two pipes. There is rope around his torso and ankles which is connected to the pipes above and even his arms are tied up, connected to the pipes behind him. Allan then enters the room and the rope that was connecting his arms to the pipe is now nowhere in sight. It is partially visible for a few frames, but then vanishes for the rest of the shot. Then when the shot cuts to Tintin, there is suddenly rope wrapped all around the pipe behind him. (00:12:35)

Other mistake: Whilst examining the wrapper with "Karaboudjan" written on it, the "K" is a centimeter away from the letter "A" and all the other letters are about a fifth of a centimeter away from the letters. Tintin then places a magnifying glass above the word "Karaboudjan." After doing this, the "K" that was a centimeter away from the "A" is now a fifth of a centimeter away from the "A", but none of the other letters seem to have changed distances. This all occurs within the same shot. (00:05:15)

Other mistake: After Tintin and Snowy run out of the room containing Mr. Kuraki, they are discovered by Allan and the two bad guys he is with. Audio problem: As Snowy chews through the ropes keeping Tintin tied up, Tintin removes them and then says to Snowy "We've got to find a way off this ship. We've stumbled into a real hornet's nest, here." Snowy then replies with a bark, but his mouth is completely sealed shut and there is a rope in his mouth. For Snowy's bark to be possible, his mouth would had to have been open. (00:13:15)

Revealing mistake: After Snowy has escaped the bad guy with the club, the scene cuts to Allan talking with Thomson and Thompson about Daws' death being an accident. The scene then cuts once again to Snowy running up a flight of steps. There is a hand rail on the banister, but it was incorrectly drawn. The hand rail is shown tilting, from right to left to right. Continuity mistake: Just after Tintin is knocked out, the scene zooms out and cuts to black, and the scene returns to the Karaboudjan in the same room. There is a Crabe Extra tin visible that Tintin had dropped on the floor, about a foot from Snowy. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Snowy growling, the tin is closer to him. (00:10:50)

King Ottokar's Sceptre: Part 2 - S2-E5

Question: When Tintin and the King discover King Ottokar's scepter had been stolen, both Hector and the guards are shown to have been knocked out. Later, Tintin points out that Hector had stolen the scepter by placing it in a camera, put it next to the window and shot it out of the window using the camera. If that's how Hector managed to get the scepter out of the building, then what was it that caused Hector and the guards to get knocked out? (00:33:10 - 00:35:50)

Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
