Continuity mistake: When Fujiwara places the wooden Buddha on the table, his hat is on one of the curved hangers on the coat stand. It cuts to a close up of Fujiwara, before cutting back to the original camera angle, where his hat has now moved onto an upright hanger on the stand. (00:10:10)

Continuity mistake: Whilst the train is departing Daejeon Station, two of the baseball players get attacked by zombies. When this happens, Yong-guk is running down the stairs and grabs onto the banister when he sees them getting attacked. His hand is positioned next to the part of the banister that attaches it to the wall. In a closer of shot of him, his hand is suddenly further down the banister. (00:49:47)

Visible crew/equipment: When the zombie outbreak begins on the train, Seok-woo runs into one of the train cars that have no zombies, carrying Su-an with him. He places Su-an on the ground, and just before he does so, a yellow tape marker can be seen on the ground, allowing the actor to know where to place the little girl actor when he stops running. Continuity mistake: When Sang-hwa is holding onto the first zombie he comes into contact with, he grabs onto the zombie's hair and some of its hair is in the gap between Sang-hwa's thumb and finger. In the next shot, that hair in between his fingers is no longer there. (00:25:45)

Other mistake: In the opening credits, there is one credit that reads "Miss Winter's costumes by Gene Coffin." This is meant to be referring to actress Shelley Winters and the man who provided her costumes, however the apostrophe has been put in the wrong place. Since her full surname is Winters, putting the apostrophe in between the R and S in incorrect. The apostrophe should have gone after the S to spell out "Miss Winters' costumes" and not Winter's. Trivia: The Sator Square dates back to Pompeii and is a square of 5 Latin words making a palindrome: Sator, Arepo, Tenet, Opera, and Rotas. Whichever orientation the square is in the words line up in both directions. Each word features in the film - Kenneth Branagh's character is named Sator, the forger mentioned near the start is Arepo, the title is of course Tenet, the opening sequence takes place in an Opera, and the Ukranian special forces who arrive in that sequence have badges on their arms with "Rotas" on them.

Continuity mistake: When Kouzuki finishes cutting off Fujiwara's underwear with a pair of scissors, he is shown holding the scissors in his left hand by the blades whilst pulling the underwear off with an object in his right hand. A close-up shot of the scissors is then shown where he is now holding the scissors by the handle. (02:15:08)

Continuity mistake: On the ferry to Shimonoseki, as Hideko becomes upset by a group of cheering soldiers, Fujiwara puts his hand around her left shoulder to console her. In the shot from behind, the part of Hideko's scarf covering the back of her neck is shown blowing in the wind in the opposite direction, as Fujiwara puts his hand on her. When the shot cuts, the scarf is suddenly covering the back of her left shoulder. (00:54:45)

Continuity mistake: When Kouzuki begins to notice the blue smoke after cutting off Fujiwara's underwear, he is first shown facing Fujiwara and begins to turn around whilst he says "It's odd. Your smoke." After finishing the line, just before the shot cuts, he is turned completely away from Fujiwara. We are then shown a wide shot of the room where Kouzuki has suddenly turned around more towards Fujiwara's position. (02:15:24)

Continuity mistake: When Hideko stands after Sook-Hee sees her kissing Fujiwara, the wind begins to lightly blow her hair. The camera cuts to an angle further away where her hair is being blown at much more and much further apart. (00:40:30)
