Continuity mistake: At the airport, Sarah says "She has a camera in her purse, we have to kill her?" As soon as the camera stops panning around, Marvin is visible in the far background holding the pig teddy with the pig's legs facing the two. The shot then cuts to a close-up of Marvin. In this close-up, the pig teddy's legs are now facing the opposite direction. (00:37:00)

Continuity mistake: When Frank meets Sarah in the flesh for the first time, she throws numerous items at him. When she picks up a candle holder and throws the candles at him, a third of one of the candles remains stuck to the holder. After Frank tells Sarah, that people are trying to kill them, Sarah replies "Why would anyone want to kill me?" In this shot, the third of the candle is currently on the right hand side of the candle holder. Then when Sarah says "Why?" after Frank says they've been listening to their conversations, the third of the candle is now on the left side of the candle holder. (00:12:05)

Continuity mistake: The scare chart shows a picture of the scarer and the number totals. In the shot that shows Mike repeatedly taking out tanks whilst Sulley is scaring the child, the names of the people have suddenly appeared next to the pictures of the scarers that weren't even there in previous or following shots. This only happens in the international version.

Continuity mistake: After the Peary financier says "The Aurora will not reach the meteorite", the scene cuts back to the Aurora sailing through a storm. In this shot, the name "Aurora" is visible on the side of the side. Yet by the end of this scene, and the camera is in front of the boat, the name "Aurora" isn't visible on the front of the ship. Continuity mistake: When Tintin and Haddock walk through a corridor with two drunk men, Tintin opens a door. The key hole on the door is blue. For a few frames, the key hole becomes brown, then back to blue again. As he closes the door, the key hole is once again brown for a couple of frames. (00:34:50)

Continuity mistake: As Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are running whilst being shot at, Snowy is holding Calculus's umbrella with his teeth. The handle is facing the right as this happens. However, when they are shown in the helicopter, Snowy is suddenly seen holding the umbrella with the handle facing the left. (00:28:25)
