Deepwater Horizon (2016)
Corrected entry: The British Petroleum Deepwater Horizon accident was erroneously characterized by environmental activists, by some U.S. politicians, by the press and by this film as the "worst" manmade oil spill in history. It was not. The Pemex Ixtoc 1 disaster off the Yucatan peninsula in 1979 was far worse, lasted much longer, and received almost zero press in the United States, even though it impacted virtually every coastline in the Gulf of Mexico for over a year. The Deepwater Horizon spill was hyped far above and beyond its comparatively minor environmental impact for purely political reasons (i.e., it was used to fuel opposition to offshore drilling).
Correction: It's hard to analyze "worst oil spill" because there's so many factors involved beyond how long it lasted, including death and injuries that occurred. However, the 1979 event resulted in 140 million gallons spilt and the Deepwater Horizon spilt an estimated 206 million gallons and resulted in 11 deaths.
The Ixtoc 1 is still considered the worst accidental oil spill in history. Ixtoc 1 remained uncapped and freely flowing for 9 months, releasing over 3.5 Million barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. That's barrels, not gallons. The only larger spill was in Kuwait, when Iraqi forces deliberately destroyed oil wells in that country, releasing 8 Million barrels of oil into the Persian Gulf. However, Kuwait is considered an "intentional" oil spill, not accidental.
Ixtoc 1 is only considered one of the worst spills, but not the number 1 worst spill. Deepwater Horizon released 4.9 Million Barrels (which is 40% more oil) and resulted in 11 deaths. Yes, Ixtoc 1 took 9 months to cap where Deepwater Horizon took only 5 months to cap, but the amount split was still less than Deepwater Horizon.
But Ixtoc was not a deep well, and its spillage was carried across the entire surface of the Gulf of Mexico for 9 months. The Deepwater Horizon was an extremely deep well, and much of its spillage remained in vast pools on the ocean floor, where it gradually degraded (yes, under extreme pressure and low temperature, crude oil will sink rather than rise to the surface). That fact also makes it impossible to estimate the total spillage of Deepwater Horizon. Nonetheless, some Deepwater Horizon spillage did rise to the surface, but not even nearly as much as the Ixtoc 1. Deepwater Horizon's environmental impact was negligible compared to Ixtoc 1; but, as stated in the original post, Deepwater Horizon was hyped and sensationalized in the press for political purposes.

Bridget Jones's Baby (2016)
Plot hole: When Bridget phones Mr. Darcy, she is told that he has left and is in a taxi on his way home, so Bridget decides to walk to his house where she sees him get out of the taxi and meet his ex-wife at the door, and Bridget thinks they are back together. The problem with this is that she is heavily pregnant and she walks a fair bit across London - hard enough to do at the best of times - and that Mr. Darcy was already in the taxi going home, but she managed to arrive at the same time at his house.

Suggested correction: Mr. Darcy may not have gone straight home. He made have needed the taxi to take him to do an errand, he just doesn't mention this when leaving. Plus, there could have been heavier traffic that we don't see which he could have been stuck in.
Ever gone through traffic in London? During the day it's a nightmare. But in BJ Diary, Mark's mum tells Mark Bridget lives not so far from him, if I'm not mistaken.

Three's Company (1977)
Corrected entry: To avoid conversing with Cindy about Cindy's alleged pregnancy, Janet picks up an ashtray off the table and claims it's filthy and runs with it into the kitchen. None of the roommates were known to have smoked and no ashtray was seen (in The Apartment) in any other episode. What was the point of an ashtray all of a sudden?
Correction: While it might not have been seen previously, it doesn't mean they didn't have one. At that time many non-smokers had ashtrays in their homes (my grandparents did and often used it to hold change or keys). However, they may have had an occasion to have it out for something that we never saw, since we don't see every moment of their lives.
There was an episode with an ashtray and an old man came to stay with them. He was homeless and he did smoke in the episode.
The old man was just a visitor for one episode who smoked in Jack's room and said to Jack that he could use an ashtray in there (as a suggestion).
Correction: The episode with the old man had no ashtray in it. In fact, he set a small fire in Jack's bedroom and even said to Jack "you could use an ashtray in there." (Obviously indicating no available ashtray was in The Apartment for him to use).
Actually, that episode did have an ashtray - when Leo (the old man) first entered The Apartment, he asked Chrissy if she had an ashtray and she got one for him off the side table.
Correction: The trio entertained a lot, and smoking was pretty ubiquitous in the 70s. They probably had it out for a guest.

Three's Company (1977)
Corrected entry: Jack tells Mr. Roper (while at the Regal Beagle) that the women in the Beagle are "fantastic." Roper gives Jack a strange look (about his acting straight instead of gay, which he always thought Jack was). Jack then corrects his sentence (using gay personality and gestures). Roper is no longer the landlord of Jack's building so Jack didn't need to correct himself in front of him or care if Roper still thought he was gay.
Correction: Just because Roper isn't the landlord any more, he would still keep up the lie, even if he thought he wouldn't get in trouble. Jack simply felt it was easier to keep pretending to be gay to avoid telling the truth (in fact several of the antics in the show would have been avoid if Jack just told the truth after some mix up or confusion, but it was his nature to keep up the lies). Even so, Jack may still feel he could get in trouble somehow if he told the truth.

Corrected entry: Emily is entering the office to pick up Tom and Aaron for the dinner, she's wearing a black dress and her hair is pinned up. In a following scene, when Emily and Aaron are talking to MacLeish, Emily is suddenly wearing a blazer and her hairstyle is completely different. (00:02:10 - 00:04:35)
Correction: Her hairstyle is exactly the same, pinned up. And she's not wearing a blazer, just a thin shrug, which would be easy to put on given the time they had.

Corrected entry: Ben's daughter from Diondra would have to be 28 years old as he was in prison for that long. The actress playing the daughter is a lot younger.
Correction: Diondra's daughter is Crystal, who is played by Denise Williamson. At the time of the film, she would have been 29 or 30 years old.

Corrected entry: It's obvious that the coach is strict about wearing the P.E. uniform in class, but when Jeff agrees to play pool in shorts, none of the students the coach is playing pool with behind him are wearing the uniform.
Correction: The scene doesn't take place in gym class. In the P.E. Room, the pool table has a red felt, this one they play on has a green felt. They're at a student lounge (with tables, stools, and vending machines) outside of class.

Corrected entry: When Jeff Daniels is sitting on the curb after falling through the courthouse ceiling, Charlize Theron spots him and lets him in her truck. She then re-enters to the driver's seat through the tailgate, which she leaves open. The next shot shows the two arriving at her trailer, but the tailgate is now closed.
Correction: First off, the next shot is not at the trailer, there are several shots of them driving, and the tailgate is open/down the whole time. When she pulls into where her trailer is, you see her go over a bump and you see the tailgate pop up as well, into an almost closed position.

Corrected entry: In ancient Egypt a princess could never be chosen as the new pharaoh. If there are no sons available another male from the family (ie. Brother, uncle) is chosen. So there is no reason for Ahmanet to be all hell bent on revenge for losing her position as the next pharaoh.
Correction: Given the fact that there have been women pharaohs in Egypt, there's nothing to suggest she couldn't have rightfully become pharaoh, or in the very least, think she is entitled to it and thus become outraged regardless of tradition.

Factual error: When Chiron is speaking with the social worker after being assaulted by Kevin, the social worker urges Chiron to press charges. It is the government who decides to press charges, based on evidence gathered by the police, including witness and victim statements. Crime victims do not decide whether or not to press charges. Suggested correction: It should be noted the term "press charges" in this case is meant to denote that a victim of a crime reports the crime to the police (as in file a charge against a person to the police), not the legal sense of pressing charges in court. Plus, victims of crimes can pursue a civil case against a criminal.

Iron Man (2008)
Corrected entry: Before the final press conference ("I am Iron Man"), Tony Stark's collar is unbuttoned and tie off-centre while getting ready and talking with Pepper, but immediately during the press conference his collar is buttoned and tie much neater (it doesn't seem to be in Stark's character to suddenly bother to button up his collar if he needs Pepper to help him get ready with his jacket and pocket square - which also disappears throughout the whole press conference - and with his tie already on). Correction: The pocket square "mistake" has already been corrected as a joke in the film. However, Tony is extremely vain and would certainly be capable of buttoning his shirt and straightening his tie, and it doesn't take that much time to do so. He would certainly do so and has plenty of time. He didn't need Pepper to help dress him, she was simply caring for him in a loving way. The same way a mother might brush her child's hair down with her hand doesn't mean the child is incapable of combing his own hair.

Corrected entry: In the temple scene when Satipo betrays Indy and he leaves with the idol, he is running away from Indy. but when Indy bumps into Satipo impaled on the spikes in the next scene, he is facing Indy.
Correction: Since we don't see Satipo get impaled in the front and then change position, it's not a mistake. When he realised he set off a trap, he could have turned around trying to escape but didn't make it.

Tommy Boy (1995)
Corrected entry: Tommy talks about how the Callahan factory is the only thing keeping the city (Sandusky, Ohio) alive. I guess he forgot about Cedar Point, one of the most popular theme parks in the world.
Correction: While Tommy was exaggerating the factory's importance to Sandusky, Cedar Point isn't open to the public year round. And tourists who come in to visit the park would only patronize business that the blue collar factory worker wouldn't work at or own, so it doesn't help the average working men of the town.

Corrected entry: After reading a book titled "The Art Of Bullfighting," Hoss and Joe get into an argument about the definitions of certain bullfighting terms. Joe says, "I think you've been reading that wrong book." Hoss retorts, "I think you've been reading it upside down." Joe meant to say, "I think you've been reading that book wrong."
Correction: Joe actually says "I think you've been reading out of the wrong book". He didn't flub the line and what he said makes perfect sense. Hoss' reply was just him trying to comeback with his own quip without repeating Joe's insult.

Corrected entry: On the phone with Columbo, Graham McVay says he's "at the Bay Leaf Restaurant, on Kelsey east of Wilshire." There is no such location. Wilshire Boulevard is an east-west street.
Correction: There are times when Wilshire Blvd will run in a SW to NE or NE to SE direction where you can have streets east of it.

Corrected entry: Why would Linda kill someone knowing most likely Monk would be investigating it? She knows how good he is and that he solves impossible crimes all the time.
Correction: She even goes the "extra mile" and commits the murder in another county making sure it is outside our Stottlemeyer's and i.e. Monk's jurisdiction.
Yes but knowing Monk she should never had tried to seduce him and she made the captain suspicious by claiming Monk tried to blackmail her for sex.
Correction: Characters doing stupid things isn't what qualifies as a stupidity. Why would anyone kill anyone knowing there's a chance they could get caught? Linda's personal motives for killing outweigh the fear of being caught.

Blazing Saddles (1974)
Corrected entry: In the saloon, Howard Johnson is talking about penicillin working on anthrax. Blazing Saddles was set in 1874, but anthrax wasn't discovered until 1875.
Correction: Anthrax has been known about for a long time. The word was first used in the 1300's. In 1875, it was only the bacterium which caused anthrax that was discovered. Prior to 1875 anthrax was a disease with an unknown pathology. Howard Johnson doesn't mention penicillin though. He mentions Louis Pasteur's vaccine.

Corrected entry: In the part where they're looking in the memories of the clone of Adam. They see two Adams but on the screen that's on the right it only shows one. (01:35:35)
Correction: The 4 monitors had different angles of the memories. They weren't the same image over all 4 monitors, so there's no mistake for one monitor not showing both Adams, especially since it took Drucker time to realise what was shown.
