Chicago Fire (2012)

Shoved in My Face - S2-E11

Corrected entry: Shay and her new partner return to the firehouse near the end of the episode and spot a well dressed man who Shay believes is a lawyer there to question her. She says "This guy is looking for me and I can't deal with HER now".

bnemirow

Correction: She says "I can't deal with it right now, OK."

Forever (2014)

6 A.M. - S1-E9

Corrected entry: In the first flashback scene, Henry enters the room when young Abe is playing the piano. He calls him "Evan" but correctly calls him Abe when he leaves the room.

bnemirow

Correction: He calls him Abraham, which is real name instead of the nickname Abe. There is a character in this episode, Pepper Evans, but Henry never calls his son by the wrong name.

Strike One - S3-E5

Corrected entry: In the scene where Doug is ordering his fudge blast (and extras), his hands never leave the steering wheel. In fact, his right hand is on top of the steering wheel the entire time. However, after his order is placed, he automatically goes to start the car. It should still be running.

Roxy

Correction: The whole point of the scene was his car died on him while in the drive-thru, so he had to start it back up. In fact, you can hear the car die/shut off while Doug is ordering.

Patrons Ain't - S4-E22

Corrected entry: At the end, when the scout comes to the door selling cookies, Doug decides to buy a box of the shortbread ones. If you look at the cookies he actually takes, it's a box of the chocolate covered peanut butter cookies. (I believe Girl Scouts call them Tag a longs).

Roxy

Correction: While he may have wanted a box of Shortbreads, he's in such a hurry he just grabs the closest box without looking. Since each box costs the same, she wouldn't care what he took. I've bought the wrong cookies before because I grabbed the wrong box without caring.

Frasier (1993)

Correction: The carrot never changes. After Niles takes the carrot with the 45° angle, he drops it after his first try with the grater. You see where it lands, and when he picks it up he simply picks it up from the other end, so the straight cut part is showing and then you see him turn the carrot in his hand so the 45° angle cut is showing.

Reba (2001)

The Good Girl - S3-E20

Corrected entry: When Van doesn't want Cheyenne to know he was just out driving Rhonda, he throws his keys to Reba. After, Van and Cheyenne need to borrow Reba's car to go pick up Elizabeth. Reba tosses Van the keys in her hand, which aren't her keys, they are Van's keys.

Roxy

Correction: Reba has Van's keys in her left hand the whole time. Then she moves her mug from her right to left hand and with her right hand gives Van her keys. You can tell they're different because of the black strap and you can see Van's keys still in Reba's left hand under the mug.

Star Trek (1966)

Is There in Truth No Beauty? - S3-E5

Corrected entry: In the sickbay near the end, Diana Muldaur got her line wrong, resulting in this contradictory dialogue: Kirk: "He'll die. But that's what you want, isn't it?" Miranda: "That's a lie!" Kirk: "Oh yes it is - you want him to die." Miranda's line was supposed to be, "That's not true," with Kirk's "Yes it is" contradicting her. As it stands, she claims it's a lie, and Kirk replies "Yes it is."

Jean G

Correction: Kirk's reply of "yes it is" refers back to his statement of what Miranda wants - "that's what you want...yes it is, you want him to die". He's continuing his train of thought, not replying to her statement.

The Cosby Show (1984)

Theo and the Older Woman - S2-E5

Corrected entry: This episode takes place before Halloween, and Theo is 15. This puts his birthday before October. In season 1, on Thanksgiving (episode 10 "Bonjour Sondra") Theo is 14. Later on in the show in the following year, the family celebrates Cliff's Birthday which is in October (Cliff mentions this in the episode "Fathers day") and Theo is still 14. How could he have been the same age when a full year went by?

JuliaD

Correction: Theo's birthday was noted to be October 21st (before Halloween). Cliff's Birthday is in October and would be before the 21st, so Theo would still be 14, although about to turn 15.

Futurama (1999)

Correction: There is no error, it's done for comedic effect. It's a play on Doctor Who's TARDIS, which is bigger on the inside.

Criminal Minds (2005)

Compulsion - S1-E2

Corrected entry: At the end of the show, Gideon and Reid are playing chess, and Reid says "check in three." Gideon then puts him in checkmate with one move. We have seen the board from all angles, and it is not possible for check in three or checkmate in one.

Correction: Watch the scene again. After Reid said "check in three", they literally show you the next four moves. The third move, Reid puts Gideon in check and the 4th move Gideon checkmates Reid. (When the camera cuts back to Gideon, the 4th move is already done and he's picking up Reid's captured Bishop).

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Mavis knows her parents met in Hawaii because she found her father's souvenir postcard. Mavis is 118, which means her parents met in the 1890's at the latest. There were no postcards like that for Hawaii in the 1890's.

Phixius

Correction: There's no reason to think this. The US was first introduced to postcards in 1873 (although they were invented in 1840) and the first "souvenir" postcards were sold in 1893 (before Mavis was born). By 1898, over 200 companies were selling Hawaii postcards, so obviously there was a market for them and no reason to think local businesses couldn't create said postcard.

Scrooged (1988)

Corrected entry: When Eliot first confronts Frank with a shotgun inside Frank's office, Eliot fires three shots from his shotgun without reloading. The double barrel shotgun he's using can only shoot twice before he has to reload. Interestingly enough, this is the only scene where that happens. The rest of the scenes of Eliot shooting adhere to the two shot and reload rule.

RJR99SS

Correction: This is incorrect. After the 2nd shot you can hear the distinct sound of the shotgun being opened, loaded, and closed before the 3rd shot.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)

Corrected entry: When Mary's husband Bobby is getting out of the police car at the end of the movie, he exits by opening the door from the inside himself instead of having to be let out.

Gohs98

Correction: Police cars just use the child lock on the side of the door, controlled by the driver - nothing special. Since Bobby's neither a suspect nor a prisoner, the officer could've easily taken the child lock off for him, thus no need to be let out.

Triumvirate of Terror! - S3-E8

Corrected entry: Wonder Woman hits a ball high into the air, and it is traveling out of the park. But one of the villains shoots super cooled air at the ball and freezes it, causing it to come to a stop, and fall straight down. Just freezing it would not have stopped it. Momentum would have continued frozen or not. Doesn't make sense that freezing the ball would cause it to stop in mid air and fall straight down, especially after a power hit from Wonder Woman. (00:01:45)

Quantom X

Correction: The ball she hits starts to go nearly straight up and not close to going out of the park when it's hit with the ice. Momentum was stopped by the added weight of the ice. Because the ball was going nearly straight up, it fell nearly straight down. There were no mistakes in the scene.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: In the Swedish hardback version. The trio is visiting Hagrid just after the revelation about the triwizard tournaments revelation. They are discussing it and Hagrid says "I never thought I'd see the tournament again, in my life" implying he'd seen it earlier. Although, this tournament is the first one in over 100 years. Hagrid is supposedly 65 years old, since he was expelled in his 3rd year 50 years ago (in CoS) making him 63 in CoS and 65 in GoF.

Correction: Hagrid never implies anything, you inferred it. Given it was the first one in 100 years, he was surprised he lived to see a tournament. This would be akin to someone born after 1972 saying "I never thought I'd see man land on the moon again."

Robocop 2 (1990)

Corrected entry: It seems very strange that RoboCop 2's remote won't turn him off, but it will deactivate his weapons. Why is it able to do one and not the other?

Padzter

Correction: This is not a mistake, but a question. There's various possibilities. The remote seems set up to control many functions of RoboCop 2, so it could be a malfunction or glitch while the weapons control portion is working. Or Cain could have disabled having his mind being controlled, but not able to control the weapons; etc.

Bishop73

Correction: If you look closely the remote control has multiple buttons on it so most likely it has a shut down button as well.

Robocop 2 (1990)

Corrected entry: When Robocop 2 is introduced and goes nuts at the press conference at the end of the movie, Robocop enters from the left of Robocop 2 with an rifle. Yet when Robocop starts firing the rifle, he aims to his right instead of his left...meaning that he is missing Robocop 2 by a mile and firing at blank space!

Correction: It is clear RoboCop is aiming to his left and aiming at RoboCop 2.

The Karate Kid (1984)

Corrected entry: The way the leader board is arranged it's obvious the tournament is single elimination, you lose, you're out. During the montage, Bobby eliminates the same guy twice; you can tell its two different matches because the referees are not the same.

Correction: The tournament is only single-elimination after the quarter finals. Most of the montage shows qualifying or preliminary rounds to determine who fights in the tournament, where a loss wouldn't prevent a person from still making it to the quarter final round. The 2nd match between Brown and Hall was the quarter finals, where Hall was then eliminated.

Robocop 2 (1990)

Corrected entry: When Cain drives very close to the pole to make RoboCop hit it, RoboCop gets slammed in the face and falls off the van. When the camera angle changes after the Robovision shot of RoboCop hitting the wall, RoboCop is not actually hanging onto the van. He is just attached to the pole and falls off it. The van is behind him and travelling in a right angle to RoboCop's body. (01:02:19)

Padzter

Correction: This is not how the scene happens. Before hitting the pole (there is no wall involved), RoboCop has his arm through the window. The shot after "Robovision" has RoboCop's face in the pole and his arm is not in the window. However, we also see the cab section of the van (thus the window) is ahead of RoboCop at this point. Unless he wanted his arm possible ripped off, he would have been smart to pull is arm out, thus we see when he hits the pole, of course he's not hanging on to the van any long. And the van is not traveling at a right angle to RoboCop's body, but parallel.

Robocop 2 (1990)

Continuity mistake: When RoboCop is being scraped up against the wall creating a shower of sparks, we cut to views of Cain. In one of these shots of Cain, the background suddenly changes - the wall he's scraping up against is nowhere to be seen and the sparks vanish. In the other shots of Cain, the background is correct. For some reason, a shot was taken from another part in the sequence and added in here, creating an odd continuity gaffe in the background. (01:02:02)

Padzter

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: This is not correct. When they show the interior shots, you can see the red brick wall out of the window.

Bishop73

This correction is untrue. You can find the scene on YouTube (look up the video "Robocop 2 (6/11) Movie Clip - Demolition Ride" and pay attention from about 0:55 - 0:58), and the background is definitely totally different - different type of brick, graffiti is missing, there's no sparks and it's in the distance. The original mistake is correct.
