Correction: She never calls him by the wrong name or uses his name at all in that sequence. She says "please" in a muffed, crying scared voice. Not "Jake."

Corrected entry: Bobby finds a section of his Texas History book about the first Taco Bell. But the first Taco Bell opened in California. Even though it is a bad text book, this mistake goes beyond believable.
Correction: The scene doesn't go exactly as stated. The main part is Hank was upset there wasn't more about the Alamo and Bobby says he thinks he saw something else about it. But it turns out just to be a picture of a Taco Bell (shaped like the Alamo). Bobby's statement "the first Taco Bell" is just relating to Texas getting its first Taco Bell (as if it was important Texas history) and not saying the first ever Taco Bell was opened in Texas. There is no error, factual or character.

Corrected entry: The snake that Cady's dad is shown holding in the clips from Africa is a Burmese python. These snakes are not found in Africa.
Correction: That's because it's not a Burmese Python but an African Rock Python (which are found in Africa). You can tell the difference by the pattern.

Corrected entry: In the car chase scene at the beginning, the Italian Police Defender does not have its roof mounted lights as it rolls down the hill.
Correction: That's because they got broken off when it rolled onto the roof. The roof mounted lights are seen in the shot after hitting the wall and falling down until the first roll over. In one shot you can see where they had been mounted before breaking off.

Corrected entry: There is a Holstein cow in the manger scene near the beginning of the movie. Holsteins were created through cross-breeding in Germany in the 19th century, so its appearance at Jesus' birth is impossible.
Correction: The Holstein breed is in fact over 2,000 years old and originated in parts of the world that would become the Netherlands. It is very conceivable that since dairy cattle were so in demand that a few cunning merchants could easily have traded for these cattle.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Major Frank Burns is taken away, there is a shot of an American flag with 50 stars. During the Korean War, the flag had only 48 stars.
Correction: There is a scene where Maj. Frank Burns is taken away where a flag is seen flying. However, it is a 48-star flag. Every other shot of a flag in the film is also a 48-star flag. There is never a 50-state flag seen and this entry is just wrong.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Barry is in the rowboat on the lake, there is a yellow Labrador retriever in the boat. Yellow Labs were not bred until around 1900.
Correction: While it's true that the yellow Labrador breed was first recognized by The Kennel Club in 1903, they were being bred before then. However, breeding for a color is different than the color occurring naturally. Labradors varied in colors greatly and yellow shades would have occurred.

Corrected entry: Francis Drake did not bring potatoes to the Old World. They were actually brought by the Spanish after the conquest of Peru.
Correction: Francis Drake was in fact the first to bring the potato to England. Unless you want to point out an error involving the species of potato or dates that are wrong or deliberately changed for the movie, there is no factual error.

Corrected entry: When Sherlock and Watson go to Paris, you see a oversight with the Sacre Coeur being constructed. The movie is taking place in 1891, the building of the Sacre Coeur started in 1895.
Correction: This entry is wrong, construction did not start in 1895. Groundbreaking occurred in 1875, with the foundation stone being placed the same year, and the foundation was completed in 1884. In fact, historical photographs from 1891 that shows construction of the Sacre Coeur similar to what is seen in the movie.

Corrected entry: When Craig smokes a joint with Smokey for the first time, Smokey gives the joint back to Craig and you see Craig holding it in his right hand. The camera angle changes and he's now holding it in his left hand. (00:36:46)
Correction: Craig holds the joint with his right hand and is about to switch hands and pauses while Smokey says something to him. When the camera cut occurs, Craig's left hand comes up off screen holding the joint. However, his left hand was in his lap near his right hand, and since he was already planning on switching hands, this move is easily and quickly done while not in view of the camera.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Ferris is dancing and lip-syncing to "Twist and Shout", there is a cop wearing a blue jacket from the street view, and then he's not wearing it in the next shot from an aerial view.
Correction: There is no error matching your description in the scene. There is a shot of one cop in a blue jacket, but he doesn't appear visibly in any aerial shots. Unless you can provide a screen shot or specific time, this is not a valid error. Additionally, plenty of time passes between street shots and aerial shots with the various close-up shots, if said man exist, he has time to take his jacket off.

Corrected entry: When Luthor is showing Lois maps of the new continent he intends to create, the final map initially shows a large 'state' marked out in the centre of the star-shaped island, with several other territories making up the points of the star. The shot changes as Luthor heads above deck, and we see the map behind him, but now the borders of the territories have changed and the central state takes up less space.
Correction: If you watch the scene, this "final" map you refer to is the 2nd to last map. This is where you see the so-called central state and surrounding territories. However in this map the west coast states and Mexico are still visible. In the actual final map, nearly all of the US, Canada, and Mexico is gone and in it's place is a now even bigger new continent. However, since this final map is now a wider shot of the whole Earth, it appears smaller. It is this image of the new continent on the actual final map that the camera zooms in on as Luthor goes above deck.

Correction: This is not a mistake, but rather a question. The plot revolves around aliens turning the dead into ghouls and vampires. The old man's wife is named in the credits as Vampire Girl. Additionally she is played by Maila Nurmi who created the character 'Vampira' and liked to portray that character in films.

Corrected entry: When Sam is telling Bumblebee about how Mearing called him he is 'just a messenger", he gets a jug of milk out of the fridge which is practically full. After Wheelie says "The disrespect on this rock is criminal" the jug is suddenly only barely full. It is not missing the amounts which you can pour in a glass or drink in that time.
Correction: There is nothing indicating the jug is practically full. In fact you can see when he pulls it out, it's only about half full. He does tilt the jug quite a bit that causes the milk to splash up top, but there's no mistake.

National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Clark is on the bicycle chasing the car Ellen has been kidnapped in, Clark is just about to catch up to the car and jump off the bicycle into the car. As he's about to do this, there is a small car parked on the side of the road so that as soon as he jumps off the bike it will hit this small car. Right before he attempts to jump off the bike, in the next scene where the shot goes from behind Clark to in front of Clark, he is about to hit the car and in the next shot the car is gone and he keeps pedaling.
Correction: This entry is wrong. There are no cars parked on the road that the kidnapper (red car) and Clark are riding on (though there are some cars back off to the side of the road but these are not in question). The small car we see is in fact moving and continues to be moving and is in front of the red car the whole time.

Correction: There is no scene like this that occurs. Even if it was possible something like this happened on a different version, you need to be more specific about which scene and version (and possible provide a screenshot), because I couldn't see anything remotely close. Additionally it should be pointed out the pet shop scene is set in 1935 (not the 40's) and the movie came out in 1984. The first commercially produced handheld cell phone came out in 1983, cost $4,000, weighed almost 2 pounds, and was 13 inches tall. Highly unlikely that an extra happened to be accidentally caught on camera answering his cellular phone.
