Watchmen (2009)

Correction: This can hardly be considered trivia since Gugino ages 42 years in the movie. It would be the same as pointing out she played a 67 year old despite being only 37.

That's My Boy (2012)

Correction: This can hardly count as trivia since the point of the movie was Donny (Adam Sandler) was just 13 years old when he impregnated the mom.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Corrected entry: Brian turns up to the first race and suggests upping the stakes. They are upped, but everyone has the right amount of money in bundles. They didn't know the stakes would be raised, and certainly not to what. So it's near impossible that all 3 would have the exactly right bundles of money. (00:06:00)

Ssiscool

Correction: Just because people don't behave like you would doesn't make it a mistake. There's no reason to think that people gambling on street racing wouldn't have more money with them than the stakes would be. Plus, money (at least in the US) comes bundled in specific amounts and gamblers (of all types) would know and bet based on these bundles.

Rosemary & Thyme (2003)

Three Legs Good - S3-E5

Corrected entry: When Rosemary & Laura take Holly, the dog, back to its owner, they arrive at the building, but Holly walks right past it, like she's never been there before. You think she'd know where she comes from.

kh1616

Correction: There is no mistake. Just because an animal doesn't behave like you think they should doesn't make it a mistake. There are many reasons Holly would walk past the building.

City Slickers (1991)

Corrected entry: At the very end, driving away from the airport, Billy Crystal calls his calf "Norman", which is his name, but then Billy calls him "Mitch", which is Billy's name.

kh1616

Correction: It's Barbara who calls out Mitch's name, not Mitch calling the calf the wrong name.

Chopper (2000)

Corrected entry: Near the beginning, Chopper is stabbed repeatedly in the abdomen. After about 5-6 stabs, he puts his hand around the knife-wielder's throat and says "Put the knife down and I'll let you go." The other guy says after dropping the knife, "Okay, I've dropped the knife, let go of me hands." But Chopper isn't holding his hands; he's holding his throat.

kh1616

Correction: Chopper only has one hand on Jimmy's throat, the other hand IS being held by Chopper. While Jimmy does use the plural, that's just his speaking style (the same way he says "me" instead of "my").

Aliens (1986)

Corrected entry: When Gorman is knocked unconscious, his eyes are open. Only dead people keep their eyes open; Gorman is in a deep sleep - he's not dead.

kh1616

Correction: This entry is completely wrong. Many people have been knock unconscious with their eyes open. And being unconscious is NOT a deep sleep (although I have witnessed people who sleep with their eyes open).

The Twilight Zone (1959)

The Midnight Sun - S3-E10

Corrected entry: Because Earth is moving closer to the sun, Serling says here that there is no longer night anywhere on the planet. For this to occur, Earth would have to stop rotating and/or be close enough to the sun to be engulfed in its corona, both cataclysmic events that would annihilate all life on the planet. (00:21:00)

Jean G

Correction: SPOILER ALERT: The events described were merely a fever induced dream of Norma's and thus never actually occurred, therefore, there is no mistake. The Earth was moving away from the sun the whole time.

Full House (1987)

On the Road Again - S8-E7

Corrected entry: Becky reminds Jesse that her mother initially wasn't happy when she started dating Jesse, but that doesn't seem quite right. First of all, Becky's parents didn't even meet Jesse until the night before their wedding in Season 4, and when they did, Becky's mother was delighted with him. If either parent had a problem with Jesse, it was Becky's father, so this comment from Becky doesn't make sense.

mirtom

Correction: There is no mistake here. Parents, especially mothers, don't have to meet the boyfriend face-to-face before disliking him. In Becky's case, there was a lot not to like about Jesse. But once they saw how happy Becky was and finally met Jesse (like in so many real-life instances), they grew to like him.

Bishop73

I agree. There could be reasons why Becky's mother disliked Jesse before meeting him in person. Maybe she judged him based on hearing Becky talk about him. Maybe she dreamed of her daughter marrying some other man.

The Cosby Show (1984)

Correction: There is no mistake in this scene - both Cliff and Theo used the chess clock correctly. It's not Theo's job to start the clock before his turn, his clock started when Cliff stopped his. (And the scene starts in the middle of the game).

The Shower - S3-E19

Corrected entry: In the scene in which Clair and Cliff are talking in the kitchen and Clair has her back turned to Cliff at the sink, the camera goes from Clair and the flowers - which are still wrapped in paper - cuts briefly to Cliff, and then back to Clair, who is now facing him with the flowers all perfectly arranged in water in the vase behind her.

mirtom

Correction: That's because throughout the whole scene you can see her unwrap the flowers and move them into the vase. There is no mistake.

The Cosby Show (1984)

Correction: When Lionel comes in, he's wearing his jacket and walks to the coat rack while he and Theo are talking. You see him start to take off the jacket and when the camera cuts to Theo, he has plenty of time to finish removing it and put it on the coat rack. When the camera cuts back to Lionel, he's walking away from the coat rack and you see his jacket hung up on it.

Air Force One (1997)

Corrected entry: There were only three weeks between the night General Radek was captured and the the night of the ceremony to honor President Marshal. Even with the help of agent-turned-traitor Gibbs, three weeks would have been too short an amount of time for the terrorists to get all the information they needed, study the layout of the plane, come prepared with a pilot trained to fly such a plane and kill the actual news crew originally cleared to fly on Air Force One.

Correction: There's no evidence 3 weeks is not enough time. In fact, with the given number of terrorists and urgency to complete their mission, three weeks is plenty of time.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Vermin tells his sidekick that he plans to kill Tommy Kelly at the exact moment that Cagney is killed in the movie. But there's no way for him to have known anything about what happened in the movie, because no one had even seen it yet. Even though the specific movie is never named, the radio announcement Vermin had listened to the previous day clearly states that DA Kelly and the governer would be attending the premiere of Cagney's new movie.

Chanteuse66

Correction: First, there's no evidence the movie was never seen by anyone. It was merely premiere night. Vermin was already disguised as a theater worker before telling the sidekick his plan, so it's plausible he did at least see part of it to plan his attack.

Bishop73

Correction: A quick search for flights from KEF (Keflavik, Iceland) to JFK shows 6 hour flight times.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: When Clark goes into the bathroom to film, nothing is wet, even Ellen's hair is dry. Also, how did she get the slippers on her feet? She starts the scene from the shower, so she doesn't have them on from the beginning. (00:10:10)

Correction: While Ellen was in the shower, the shower itself was not on. She could have either not started showering (and thus not be wet) or finished and had time to dry off (she had a shower cap on as well so her hair wouldn't be wet). And while she's dancing she sits on the toilet and slides her feet into the slippers.

Doctor Who (1963)

Full Circle - S18-E3

Corrected entry: Romana gives the TARDIS's weight as five million kilograms in the planet's gravity. This is totally inconsistent with the TARDIS's weight in the rest of the series - for instance, in the third Doctor's time, a few soldiers were enough to lift it. And it can't be because of the planet having high gravity, as the Doctor and Romana would have been killed and K-9 crushed whenever they went outside the TARDIS.

DaveJB

Correction: There is no mistake. The outside has always weighed less than the inside, just like the outside is always smaller than the inside. Its outside weight is dependent on its chameleon camouflage, but in this episode they're talking about the interior weight. There have been episodes where people were unable to pull it if the chains were on inside, and in the episode Castrovalva, the weight of the TARDIS is much greater than 5 million kg. If that immense weight was always the case, it would crash through the floor of many locations where it materialised.

Bishop73

Referring to the new series, in the Twelfth Doctor episode "Flatline", the Doctor outright says that if he landed the TARDIS on Earth at its full weight it would crack the planet's crust.

Niagara (1953)

Corrected entry: The Cutlers decide to take a ride on the "Maid of The Mist" and we hear the announcer say that it's "the most famous boat in America". The "Maid of The Mist" is in Canada. (00:10:30)

????

Correction: The boat maybe registered in Canada, but it travels to and from America and many Americans ride it and board it on the American side.
